Got two in the mail today, Lactea variegata, and Cryptocereus/Ghost plant..
I've been looking for the ghost plant over 5 yrs..after checking Gardino's, voila, there it stood..
They arrived today, in perfect health and a lot larger than expected.
Packaging was well-done, in newspaper and surrounded with peanuts.
Andrea is prompt and caring answering emails.
She was concered the plants might freeze since I'm in Il, and suggested sending to a location where someone would be home to answer the door when the package arrived..I assured her I'd be here..Her second suggestion was waiting to a later date, when it warmed up.

I have ordered several plants from Gardino & even sent plants to my relatives and each order has been more than a pleasant surprise. The plants are packed for shipping really well. Since I am a beginning gardiner, I have spoken and email Andrea with questions and she has always been pleasant and knowledgeable. I will continue to use Gardino as they offer many plants that grew wild on my childhood island and hopefully will be now in my own garden.

My experience with Gardino Nursery was excellent. I placed my order over the phone with Andrea and she was very nice professional and polite. I arranged with them to pick up my plants at a local plant fair, and they were very kind to bring the plants along. The plants were very healthy large and well taken care of. Great excellent folks to buy from, highly recommended.

I ordered a beautiful dwarf pomegranate and two lovely bonsai style serissas. These are top quality plants. Andrea was really helpful with my order. I would recommend you visit their website, you will find really special plants!

I have made over a dozen purchases from Gardino Nursery over the past several years. I am very pleased with the way everything has turned out. Eveything was packaged well and delivered quickly. All plants continue to flourish. I cannot stress enough how happy I am with Gardino.

I ordered 2 adenium obesums and a St. Thomas Tree and I was SO impressed with both the quality and the care in packaging and shipping. After only 4 weeks at my home the St Thomas tree has nearly doubled it's size and looks lush and beautiful. Desert Roses were even in bloom when they arrived and were large healthy plants. Will DEFINITELY buy from again!

I ordered Hoya plants from this company. They arrived today in perfect condition..the packing was awesome....the plants themselves were large healthy specimens...I would highly recommend them to everyone. I can not say enough of how pleased I am.

I give Gardino's 5 stars! They are awesome, especially Andrea, and go out of their way to be helpful. I ordered 2 little 4 inch pots (gardenia tahaitis and plumeria pudica) online when Andrea emailed me and told me that the plumeria pudica wasn't rooted as well as they would like and would I consider a larger size? She also suggested that I could pick my order up if I would be going to some local plant shows...saving me money for postage! Very, very nice. Wonderful selection and truly one of the best tropical plant places out there!!! They rock!!!

This place is great. I ordered a Spathodea campanulata (African Tulip Tree) and a red Powder Puff. The Spathodea came MUCH larger than I'd expected, with a large bud set. Both specimens were healthy and VERY well-packaged.

Communication was great. I ordered over the holidays, and the company took the time to let me know the order would be delayed a bit. I was notified when the shipment was on its way. In short, this is everything you want from ANY kind of internet ordering.

I live in zone 10a, so I can grow a lot of exotic plants. I intend to order them from Gardino.

Best people to buy plants from,I called and asked ?s both Sid and Andrea are very helpful.They seem to love what they do.Ibought some jasmines in october they are all doing well.Packing was perfect.They came in pots so no root shock,as per their instructions I watered them and just put them near the window,thats it.I had to repot them after a month cause the roots were coming out of the bottom. I called Sid and asked him about some other plants he told me they would not do well indoors did not try to sell me anyway, also gave me some alternte sugessions.Will be buying from them soon.The shipping cost was very modest,verysmall amount for packing.The plants were shipped on tuesday I got them on thursday.Also she charged me the day of shipping.I have already recomended them to friends.Another goodthing Andrea sugessted was to buy one gallon instead of three gallon to save on shipping she also told me the size of the plants.Good people great service lovely plants no surprises.

I ordered a Michelia Alba from Gardinos a few weeks ago. It arrived in perfect condition, and this was a 4 foot tall potted plant! It was packaged very well, not a single leaf was lost during shipping nor was there any root disturbance. The plant itself is extremely healthy and vigorous. If you are looking for a Michelia, this is the place to go.

I ordered two Giant Apostle's Iris from this company last Sunday night on their web site and they arrived today (the following Thursday). OUTSTANDING service. And the plants are beautiful. I have never seen such a good packing job. I had a bushel of plastic peanuts after I unpacked.

Andrea is extremely responsive to all questions. These guys are very helpful and even though I am on a waiting list due to hurricane damage, I feel certain that when the plants are available they will be great!

I just placed my first order with Gardino and all the plants arrived in great shape (even one that had been slightly damaged in the hurricane and they emailed me and offered a discount on it). They will definitely go on the list of places I will order from again (they also have a unique selection of plants that I haven't found at other nurseries)

I cannot say enough good things about Andrea Gardino and Gardino Nursery. I have ordered from them a few times since 2000, and most recently bought from them an Araucaria angustifolia, a rare (in North America) South American conifer. This plant, like every other plant I got from them in the past, was of absolutely superb quality. Andrea's plants are larger than you expect for the price and always healthy and wonderfully grown. They respond very quickly to your inquiries and put a lot of personal attention into every single sale. You always feel that you are dealing with a friend, not with a business. And, they do a wonderful job of carrying many rare plants from South and Central America, that you can often not get anywhere else. You cannot go wrong by ordering from Gardino. If I could give them ten positives I would.

The Alcantarea arrived today on the second day. It was in perfect condition, beautifully packed in styrofoam peanuts with shredded paper over the soil secured with tape. It was the best packing job I've ever seen. In addition, it came with a pot (not bare-root), and the pot was not a nursery container but a decorative pot, suitable for immediate placement in the house. The specimen itself was an excellent one, well worth the price. I'll certainly be ordering from you again and will recommend you to my friends and relatives.

My first mail order plant adventure. I was so happy and surprised to see the beautiful Hoyas that I ordered. They were clean and healthy, big and beautiful. I recently orded three plants 2 allamandas, and a ceasalpinia flava. I recieved the plants in a very timely matter, they arrived in great condition. I definately will

Very knowledgable, friendly people, even though they didnt carry the item I was looking for, they tracked down a company that did carry it, and gave me the information...They went out of their way to help me, and I have no doublt that I will be doing business with them in the future.

Just an "amen" to the positive comments by others. Shipments from this company are the best-packed I've encountered from ANY mail order nursery. And rather than taking plants out of pots, washing the soil away, and shipping them bare root, everything I've received from them has been in pots, still in soil. Quality plants, quality shipping -- a class act. Other operations should take note.

Gardino's provides excellent plants and service. Order came within 10 days, and a notice of shipment was e-mailed. Plants were beautiful, no shipping damage and quite a bit bigger than I expected. They have a very wide array of plants on offer. Highly recommend.

When I ordered from this company, I was initially surprised by the high-quality plant I received and how well it was packed. I was impressed that there was a handwritten note enclosed giving me some extra tips on how to care for it.
