July 31, 2006 | Armstrong Crickets claims "free shipping" all over it's website, but after you purchase your items and receive an Invoice confirming the free shipping, a sucharge is added to your credit card without your permission! They have retro'd $15.00 (for 3 orders I placed) because someone in their organization decided to ship via FedEx (their choice, not mine...I selected "free shipping") and the owner himself accused me of "trying to cheat the system" by asking for free shipping. Every item presently on their website states that "shipping is included!", but they sneak this surcharge in at a later time on your bank account. I asked the owner to update his website to reflect that shipping was in fact, NOT free and he told me "No". Even his employees admit that he is aware of the erroneous information on the website and that for over a YEAR he's refused to change it. He must be raking in the dough by ripping off his customers after the fact. |
