On April 30, 2008, Besecu Houston, TX wrote: By the time I got home, my husband had already opened my new arrivals.
Although I didn't have the joy of unwrapping the rare gift to myself,
I was delighted with the plants that I saw. They looked beautiful!
The health & appearance of the plants justified the price. I was
happy to find a nursery within a 500mi. radius of my home in the South
to ensure the purchase was sustainable in addition to increase the
likelihood that my 'Catawba' Crape Myrtles would acclimate well to my area.

I found Ecolage on the web, called them and in two days my husband's mother was delighted and surprised with the frost resistant gardenia plant that we had chosen for her. She said the plant arrived in excellent condition and was beautiful! It was a huge hit with her. I priced similar plants/shrubs on line and could not find anyone who came close to matching size and price of the plant. The gentleman who helped me was kind and followed my instructions to the letter. For that, I thank him. I will definitely use them again and actually forwarded their web site to a close friend who's mom lives in AZ. Thanks again, Ecolage, you are a great find! |

On April 11, 2008, seagardener Southport, ME wrote: We ordered two 3 gallon windmill palms (Trachycarpus fortunei) for shipment to Maine. We received an e-mail to track the shipping. They arrived in great shape, really nice, healthy plants. The pots were wrapped in heavy, clear plastic bags tied with jute ties and the boxes were filled with biodegradable corn starch peanuts. A bamboo pole in the pot protected the foliage from being crushed in transit. We're going to grow them in containers outdoors for the summer. We compared prices and plant sizes with a lot of other nurseries and this company provided much larger plants at a competitive price. Highly recommended. |

This was my first purchase of plants of this size--3 gallons, 4 feet tall--over the internet, but after talking with Steven, I was convinced it was worth the risk and I am thrilled with the results. Would gush more but I have planting to do... |

These are usually pawned off with lousy small palms at real expensive prices.
The one I received is a very nice size one in real good condition.
Thanks!!!!....will be ordering from these folk again!!

I had contacted nurseries from Mobile to Navarre with no luck when I found it on the Ecolage nursery's website. The positive feedback on this website encouraged me to give Ecolage a chance, and I am more than happy with the results. The crape myrtle arrived even better than expected. It was larger, filled out, and already has buds. The packaging was excellent and the plant still moist after its travels with the shipper. Thanks to the biofoam and stakes, only a very few small leaves were lost. I'll most certainly buy from Ecolage again. |

ECOLAGE shows extreme consideration and kindness in their communication, wonderful service and beautiful plants. I will definitely order from them in the future. |

I had been looking for a certain variety of crape myrtle ("Apalachee") and, after extensive searching, Ecolage was the only nursery I was able to find who carried it. I emailed to see if they had any remaining in stock and received a quick response that they did, indeed, still have them. I called to place my order for 3 crape myrtles. Steven Abrahams took my call and was very helpful and friendly. He tallied up my order and then asked if I had room at my place for a fourth Apalachee. Sure enough, when the plants arrived, there were 4, for the price of 3! They were strong and healthy with beautiful foliage and did not look like they had spent the past several days in a box! I am very impressed with the knowledge and customer service provided by Steven and by the crew in the shipping department, who did such a wonderful job packaging my crape myrtles.

Ecolage did not disappoint. The plants (3 types of gardenias and a butterfly ginger) are absolutely stunning. They arrived in superb condition, wrapped and packaged with absolute care. The plant specimens themselves are very large (not always the case with mail order) with good root systems.
In addition, Ecolage's customer service is first-rate. A UPS error caused my original package to be delayed, so they sent out another package asap. Very prompt and friendly problem resolution! Overall, this was a great online purchasing experience; I will definitely be buying from them again. Highly recommend!!

Didn't know anything about Ecolage and had my fingers crossed for good luck this spring when I called in a first time order for two B. capreolatas. They arrived a few days later beautifully packed, large and healthy.
From now on whenever possible, I'm going to use Ecolage for all my mail order plants.

On May 6, 2006, DeerPhobic Gig Harbor, WA wrote: I found Ecolage through the ratings here at Dave's Garden. Being a transplanted Southerner I was happy to find that they carry some old Southern favorites and I ordered a banana magnolia, evergreen wisteria, pineapple guava and a butterfly ginger.
My order arrived promptly and I was delighted to see the wonderful condition of the plants especially considering that they'd travelled from one end of the country to the other . The plants (not just the pots!) are extremely large for mail order. It's obvious that they were packed with care - the twine holding the plastic around the pots was even tied into a bow! As another poster mentioned, not one drop of soil was missing from around the roots and the soil is still nicely moist. The only suggestion for improvement I can make is to ask that they add the cultural requirements (sun exposure, soil type, water, etc.) to the packing container.
The wonderful ratings this company has received are well deserved and I can't wait to place another order. Thank you Ecolage!

We ordered a Magnolia Stellata in February with the request to hold it back until April. The ordering process was smooth and communication throughout the process great.
We received the tree April 20th, in perfect shape. It was packaged very well, with extra care taken of the 5 gallon pot in order to keep it moist. The tree is much nicer and healthier looking then I have seen in any of the nurseries around Chicago.
I would certainly order from them again, as they seem a trustworthy company with plants in an excellent shape.
As one of the other customers in this forum mentioned, I send a ‘thank you’ email as well and most of the time you wouldn’t hear anything, but Ecolage actually took the time to send a reply to my thank you note! Very well done!
