| Negative | misschris Laurel, MD (2 reviews) January 10, 2010 | I sent several emails to Veychek from their website in spring 2008 when I discovered that they sold me wrong trees and they did not reply.
Beautiful doom shaped Lace leaf Japanese Maple Tree was advertised on their website for $19.99 per tree and $9.95 shipping. Order in fall and receive in spring. But the website had since been taken down since 2008.
I ordered and paid for 2 of the Lace leaf Japanese maple Trees in January 4, 2007. In spring 2007, I received 2 pieces of sticks about 10ins long with NO LEAVES but have roots wrapped in paper. One of sticks was 2 pieces joined with rubber band in the middle and it died in 10 days.
I could not return them in 7 days because the trees were shipped with No leaves and the trees will not grow leaves in 7 days. Wrong trees were shipped and it was definitely not Lace leaf Japanese Maple Tree.
Right now, the tree has NO LEAVES; therefore I cannot show the leaves which are the beauty of this tree. My original complaint was sent with the picture.
The tree did not do very well the first year, 2007 and it got bigger with a lot of leaves in 2008. I took a picture of the leaves on the surviving tree and compared it with the Lace leaf Japanese Maple Tree on the internet and I realized that Veycheck sold me a wrong tree. Veychek Lace leaf maple tree website had been taken down.
I will appreciate a refund of $19.99 plus $9.95 shipping or a replacement on the one of the trees.

| Positive | couchfry Florence, AL (3 reviews) April 25, 2008 | Ordered a lilac bush which was very reasonably priced, arrived on time, and was in good condition. |
| Negative | LilyZ Pittsburgh, PA (Zone 6a) (3 reviews) June 2, 2006 | I bought 2 Purple smoke trees and 1 Japanese Maple last year from Veychek. The smoke trees never took off and the Japanese Maple Tree was *actually* the *not so sought after* Japanese Maple TWIG. I would not have lived long enough to see this thing become a tree. Never again. |
| Positive | srodarte Springfield, OH (11 reviews) May 10, 2006 | I ordered a twisted weeping willow and a weeping cherry from these folks. Later, they told me the weeping cherries had been sold out and offered me 3 flowering cherries in exchange. I ended up selecting 2 golden chain trees and 1 flowering cherry in lieu of the weeping cherry. All 4 trees arrived quickly and in excellent condition. They are large (3 - 5 ft tall) with good root stocks. I've just planted them and they appear to be doing extremely well. |
| Neutral | bearcubvet Boone, IA (1 review) July 17, 2005 | I ordered a japanese laceleaf maple, a mimosa tree, a purple smoke tree, and 20 of their $0.99 "$100 daylilies" last year. The daylilies came in October, and most came up this year. The trees came this spring. The laceleaf maple was about the tiniest "tree" I have ever seen, but it is still alive at least. The Mimosa tree was literally just a twig, but it survived and is starting some branches. The purple smoke tree was two twigs, but it's still alive at any rate. At least everything is still alive, but for the prices, I would have expected some bigger trees. Overall, I give a neutral because everything is living, just much smaller than I expected. |
| Negative | Davidsan Springfield, IL (Zone 6a) (16 reviews) June 16, 2005 | bought a japanese red maple. it arrived as a stick with little root system (three root hairs). I emailed them twice and got no reply . My tree of course didn't grow (DOA)and I had to contact my master card folks to take charge. still no reply. Seemed like a really nice guy (Joe) either too busy or doesn't care ...If i were you I'd look elsewhere... Greenwood Nusery was excellant in all aspects of my dealings with them, check them out. |
| Positive | jwy_VA Norfolk, VA (1 review) April 15, 2005 | Ordered two flowering cherry stocks April 4th, and received them on April 14th. What are great looking stocks they are! Well developed stock roots are correctly and carefully cleaned off, packed perfectly, and they look great. I had ordered many, many tree stocks over years, sometimes lucky sometimes total loss, but quality and condition of these stocks simply beat all the precedings, period. Highly recommended. |
