Just received my first order from Garden Crossings, some Color Guard yuccas. The order was shipped when promised, and the plants arrived in great shape. I couldn't be happier.

I have ordered from them for a couple of years. I have been consistently very satisfied with the plant stock I've received. They are always packed well and very healthy when they get here. Their prices probably reflect the extra care they take in growing and shipping. I figure I get what I pay for, and just limit my purchases to something I really really want. Not a bad thing, right?
Bought several varieties of helleborus from Garden Crossings and was happy with the quality upon receipt. The plants did well their first year and I'm looking forward to early spring flowers. Will buy from this company again.

I ordered a clematis and a lilac from this company. The plants arrived very well packed and were beautiful - very full. They looked like I picked them up from a local nursery. I am very pleased! On May 13th, 2011, tpeterson added the following:
I just received my newest shipment from Garden Crossings - a clematis and a heuchera - both amazingly full and beautiful!!! I am never disappointed by this company - I highly recommend ordering from them.On June 30th, 2016, tpeterson added the following:
I just received 3 Sunsparkler Firecracker Sedum plants from Garden Crossings - they were huge and beautiful!
I recently placed my second order with this company. I have been very pleased both times. I received large, healthy plants, expertly packed, and I love that they grow many of their plants. By phone, they are courteous and helpful. Online, their website is attractive and easy to navigate. Great company!
just received some 'first frost' hostas from these guys. plants arrived in great shape, excellent size and health. shipping is expensive compared to 'bare root' stock, but then again, these aren't bare root, heh. i'll be ordering from this company again for my shade garden. PLUS they put up w/ me doing a phone order due to my internet security paranoia-*always* a plus in my book :)
Just received another order from Garden Crossings. Plants arrived in perfect condition. Their packaging is exceptional. Heidi was very, very helpful in getting my order processed and shipped out on schedule despite a glitch w/my credit card co. I highly recommend this nursery. I have always received healthy, very well grown plants at reasonable prices.
This was my first experience ordering plants online, doing so only because I really wanted a Cherry Cheesecake Hibiscus, and I've never seen them available at my local greenhouses. I chose Garden Crossings based on their excellent reviews. In February I purchased the 3Gallon Cherry Cheesecake Hibiscus, and added a Berrylicious Hibiscus, a couple Campanula, and a couple Geraniums. The wait began!
On May 5th, I received an email with my shipment tracking number (awesome!), and my account was showing a pending transaction for the total amount owed. The plants arrived the next day, right on schedule... only there was no Cherry Cheesecake Hibiscus. My entire order except for the one item I truly wanted was there (and exceptionally packaged, by the way). I left a message for Heidi, and after waiting the weekend without a response, sent a follow-up email on Monday asking about the status of my balance.
After no response from Garden Crossings, I checked my bank account again on Tuesday and saw the transaction had been adjusted, and only the items I had received had been debited. Unsure if there would be a backorder charge with additional shipping, I called back again and Heidi answered. When I inquired about the order, she said "The hibiscus looked small, and she wasn't sure". I didn't know what that meant, so I asked to cancel the balance of the order. It was pretty disappointing.
I will say that the items I did receive are beautiful and very healthy, but they're plants I could have bought locally.
Great selection and quick service. Their plants are expensive, but you get what you pay for - they are huge, healthy plants, well packaged for delivery.

I just received three clematis from Garden Crossings, and I am so impressed! The plants are very robust, and the cardboard packaging was easy to remove without damaging the vines. All the packaging could be recycled. This was my first order ever from this company, which I found through Dave's Garden. On April 26th, 2014, spikemom added the following:
For 2014 I ordered two clematis, C. viticella Venosa Violacea and C. Blue Angel. Plants were well leafed out, healthy and packaged with great care.
This company ROCKS! The website is great: nicely laid out website, easy to negotiate, and informative too...if you order from them, things seem to ship out on the next Monday, which is really nice....on my first order, I ordered on Sunday, and the items shipped the next day, and then I received them that Thursday...fantastic!
The items were perfectly packaged: packaged in an intelligent, safe manner, and obviously packaged with care....A+ right there....the items were of a nice size and extremely healthy looking with good quality soil....
I've communicated with them via email---they are very friendly, thorough, helpful, and informative...they seem to be a family-owned type of company; they obviously care about pleasing their customers, and most of all, providing a quality product....(I appreciated them even more after having bad experiences with other companies)...
You can't go wrong with Garden Crossings....A+ to them...10 out of 10....100% rating; what else can I say? I look forward to ordering from them again, although I'm running out of room in my garden!
This company is stellar....

I ordered two daylilies in early August. They were shipped growing in 5 inch pots with very well developed root systems. Within six weeks of planting they were blooming.
I just received and opened my order of three knock-out roses. They are beautiful! Green leaves, moist soil, healthy stems. I am especially impressed since the plants had to travel from Michigan to South Carolina and they still arrived in perfect shape. The packaging is very sturdy but also very easy to deal with. I am very pleased that they do not use plastic peanuts or shredded paper. Clean up was a snap. I will be back!

I was VERY pleased with the size, quality, and condition of the plants I received. I originally felt their prices were high compared to other sellers but I will not hesitate to order from this company again because their plants are wonderful! Large and healthy plants. You definitely get what you pay for here! Quick shipping as well! Thank you.

I was astonished by the plants I received! I'll be looking at this company for more plants from now on. They're as professional as it gets. The plants are in 2 qt. pots, 2 years old and ready to go. Just a little worse for the wear, but compared to other companies I've ordered from over the years, they're tops. Now i have to go buy a new pot for the container garden I was planning because these plants are way too big to go in the one I'd planned to use for them. Nice problem to have.On October 9th, 2005, revclaus added the following:
It's fall and the plants I bought last spring have grown beautifully! They've doubled or more in size, and they're as healthy as any I've grown. I just ordered a bunch more that were 40% off due to end of season. I expect they'll be just as nice as the plants I ordered earlier. On October 15th, 2005, revclaus added the following:
They are! The Clementine Red columbine were about 1-1/2 feet tall with a good root system. The Pandora's Box hosta was enchanting, nicely grown. I also bought Pennisetum "Hameln" and Viola "Columbine", both of which were perfect. Good thing I got in on their autumn sale. They're going in the garden today. On May 14th, 2006, revclaus added the following:
I ordered again this spring, and everything they sent was in great shape. They send big plants, and accommodated by need to get out in the garden early. They were skeptical, but I insisted and they arrived right on time for me. I just wish they wouldn't use FedEx. In my experience FedEx beats up plants .On May 19th, 2007, revclaus added the following:
More orders this year -- several, in fact -- and I was happy with all of them. This year some of the soil had been knocked out of the containers and plants were bent over. One echnicaea and a coleus were severely bent over and had to have about 6" of the top removed. I don't like to have to return things, so I didn't. I transplanted them, then added more dirt. So far so good.On May 13th, 2009, revclaus changed the rating from positive to negative and added the following:
This is NOT a commentary on their product or service. It's a comment on their prices which went up this year to the point that I can no longer afford to buy from them. I did buy five calibrachoas but that's the extent of my purchase. On May 25th, 2013, revclaus added the following:
I ordered from GC this spring but was disappointed in the heucheras I received. They're sold in 5.5" pots, but the roots were obviously liner length. What they sell as a larger plant turns out to be mostly potting soil with very few roots. I emailed a complaint but have not heard back from them. I won't be ordering from GC again. Stopped ordering in 2009 due to prices, ordered again this year expecting good value, but got poor value instead. On June 24th, 2013, revclaus changed the rating from negative to positive and added the following:
Heidi at GC contacted me. She didn't replace the plant, but I was satisfied that she responded. The plant I complained about is growing, though slower than the matching plant and they're in the same pot. I ordered some echinaceas sometime later and because I had entered two different shipping addresses, she emailed to check, and emailed to double and triple check. Then she called when my card was declined. I appreciated that too. I definitely wanted those coneflowers! I had bought one earlier. My neighbor saw it in bloom and wanted one exactly like it. Since it was doing so well in a large pot I ordered a smaller one for a smaller pot. Great plants, and finally, responsive service.

Just wanted to comment on how impressed we were with the service & plants from Garden Crossings. We ordered tomatoes, hydrangeas & arborvitaes which arrived carefully packaged & extremely healthy. They are growing wonderfully & we are very happy with our purchases.
Thank you to Heidi who answered all our questions since we are new to gardening. We received very fast & detailed responses which was really appreciated.
Amazing customer service & beautiful plants thank you. :)
I have ordered many things from this company in the past 5 years. They are awesome! and their shipping costs are one of the most reasonable, too.

I ordered from this company because I read about them from Dave's Garden. I ordered an Echinacea and a Salvia. My plants were well packed and quite healthy and quite vigorous! Thank you Dave's Garden for the recommendation. I look forward to ordering from them again.

I placed 2 separate orders and they were both shipped today. For one of the orders I got a call saying that they only had 6 of the 12 1gallon Bobo hydrangeas I ordered MONTHS AGO. Although frustrated, I told them to send them anyways.
Tonight I noticed on my bank account that I was not only charged for all 12 hydrangeas but I was charged TWICE!!
I am completely embarrassed because my account has insufficient funds and someone I owe money to is trying to run my card and its being declined. I am not happy. On May 8th, 2013, Lbbaber changed the rating from negative to neutral and added the following:
The first order arrived today. Very well packaged. Perhaps some of the best packaging I've seen for mail order plants. The plants look great also.
The company has fixed the error in billing. I'm just waiting for the money to return to my account (I think the delay is on my bank's side). On May 10th, 2013, Lbbaber changed the rating from neutral to positive and added the following:
I got my 6 Bobo hydrangeas today. I had been worried that because they were the "last 6" that they had they wouldn't be as nice as the rest of the supply. I have to admit they are beautiful!!!! Packaged very well and big robust plants. They are stunning....my neighbors almost didn't believe me when I said they were mail order.
Also, the hold on my accounts expired yesterday so my funds were returned to my account this morning.
I will order from them again if I see something I need. I just think in the future I will place my orders by phone to avoid any mistakes (on my end or theirs).
ENORMOUS plants! Better than if I bought them in a local garden center. Healthy and in great shape. I am very impressed. I have been buying mailorder plants for over 15 years, but these just blew me away!!!!!! Highly recommend!
I have been shopping with Garden Crossings for several years. Each year I would go to local garden stores to find both annuals & perennials and was always disappointed. I found Garden Crossings online by accident while searching for a plant I saw at a local store.
I was skeptical about mailorder for live plants. When they were delivered they were larger and healthier than anything I found locally. The packaging is sturdy so the plants are protected . Yes, there is a shipping charge but think of the gas spent running around to plant stores! I have never been disappointed and will order again this spring.
I highly recommend this nursery. I've used them several times. The plants are healthy and packed very well. I'm a master gardener and worked for a highend grower and nursery b/f I moved to VA. I purchased over 200 plants last year for our new property so I know a good nursery when I use one. This one is a keeper! Peggy Schochet

I've ordered two shipments from Garden Crossings (2011 & 2012). The first time all the plants were in superb condition, however, the second time I received unhealthy looking Million Kisses Begonias and the shippers damaged my wax begonias which weren't as tightly packed as the year before. When I contacted them a representative told me that the Million Kisses Devotion begonias would soon recover with home care and in fact they did completely recover two weeks later after I repotted them and put them on my indoor plant regimen (rotating Miracle-Gro + humic acid & vinegar + hydrogen peroxide every two days). The representative also gave me a refund for the begonias.
This year I got a Super Sweet 100 tomato plant that's produced 301 tomatoes so far. That's amazing considering I'm a new gardener and I had never grown a vegetable before. I'm very happy with my Garden Crossings purchases overall. The sales people are polite, the quality is above average for a moderate price, and their web site is attractive, easy to use, and informative.
I am relatively new to gardening and have ordered from Garden Crossings a couple of times. Everything I have purchased has done wonderfully. I appreciate the detailed info on their website but most importantly the quality of their plants, they cost more than other online nurseries I have ordered from but are correspondingly bigger as well. I completely understand why they are a top 30 company here, they deserve it.
I recently bought some echinacea from Garden Crossing. They have a wonderful selection of these. The Raspberry Truffle was on my wishlist to find this year and to my delight they were on sell at GC. Also bought Solar Flare. All 6 plants were hugh!!! I had ordered from 4 companys and these plants were the biggest. Very healthy. This company was the most expansive of the 4 but still would order from them again. I got FREE SHIPPING with $75.00 order. The plants were well packaged and the soil stayed in the pots. The company provided great communication via e-mail. Their website was real nice although I couldn't find a tab for items on sale which would have been nice.
There is nothing more fun than opening a box of plants from
Garden Crossings! There are other online nurseries I order plants from also, but Garden Crossings is my favorite. The plants are more expensive, but they are larger. And healthy! They are well-rooted and OMG I'm getting excited thinking about
them. I think I'll go to the GC website and order a few.... just for fun.

Great company to order from. Plants are packaged very well and arrived in excellent shape. Nice healthy plants.
I've ordered many times from Garden Crossing and the plants are always excellent. Packaging got even better than it was previously. We all order to get a nice plant to place in our gardens and thats what they deliver. Thank You!
I have ordered 3 times from this company and each time I'm impressed with their packaging and the size of their plants. It certainly shows how much care is given to each plant . I look forward to doing more business with them.

There is a good reason why some nurseries are on the top 30 list and Garden Crossings sure makes the grade!. Great plants arrive in great packaging looking as fresh as though they just came out of the garden.... not a leaf destroyed or out of place nor a drop of soil in the box they came in. They are high quality (Proven Winners) for the calibrichoa and other plants. The pricing is very fair for the size and quality of the plants. This was my first order, but I will be back...On April 24th, 2012, JonSchneider added the following:

I am writing one year later after having returned to Garden Crossings for a second go-around. There were no great surprises. Once again, I am so tremendously impressed with the high quality of the bedding plants and the Proven winner plants. All appear to be "fresher" and more viable than plants I can obtain locally. The packaging is impeccable. Again, the pricing is very fair. The customer service (Heidi) is the best. My only regret is I am running out of space to add more plants right now... I haven't given up though... there must be a corner that needs a little color...
An assortment of plants I ordered arrived yesterday and I couldn't be more pleased. This was my first order from Garden Crossings and it won't be my last. Every plant is large, vibrant, and healthy. What I particularly am happy about is how the packing was done. The packing was very secure, but at the same time, it was very easy for me to unpack the individual plants from the carton. I order plants from other sources, only to find that although the packing is well-done and very secure, it takes a lot of time and effort to remove the plants from the carton because of excessive tape, cardboard, staples, and such. In these cases, the packing is overdone and difficult to remove. Two of the plants I purchased were lantana, which I had a difficult time locating from other online nurseries. Garden Crossings will be my new source for online plants.
I ordered 3 of their English Butterfly Series™ Buddleias in the 8" Jumbo Pot size and was very pleased. They shipped when I requested, the packing was superb, and the plants look healthy and well-rooted. Definitely a top-notch company.

I found this company online operating as "The Plant Palette".
I wanted to plant some Helleborus for my wife. In order to get all the varieties I wanted, I ended up buying from 3 different online vendors. Most sold them for $20 each, but The Plant Palette had the Golden Sunrise variety online as an internet special for $10 each, so I bought two, but was wary of what the quality would be like for that price.
The Plant Palette's arrived first. They were also the largest and healthiest of the three. Amazing. By far the best company of the three. On April 23rd, 2011, srvadt added the following:
Oops, got this company confused with one of the other three - review should have gone like this:
Plants were $20 each.
The Plant Palette plants arrived last out of the three. They were fairly large and healthy compared to the other companies.
I just planted them so it is too soon to tell how they will work out in the long term, but by comparison, I give them a positive rating. On February 11th, 2012, srvadt added the following:
