I ordered 2 pkts of surinam cherry seeds and they arrived two days later. More seeds in pkts than advertised. I now have 35 seeds propagating and anxiously waiting to see how many break the soil. Thanx so much for these long sought seeds and with luck I will have me a hedge in a couple of years. Very prompt service and will order again from this company.
Onalee's website was easy and pleasurable to navigate through. Of special appreciation was her easygoing, friendly style of writing, the ability to enlarge photos, and extensive info about the plant and what to expect during the germination process. She included all this info on the seed package as well as a photo of the seedling.
The shipment from Onalee was quicker than I expected.
Seeds have been planted and are doing just great, I would not hesitate to place another order with Onalee.

I ordered white Butterfly Pea seeds.Onalee treated me like Royalty, promptly answering my emails, letting me know when the seeds were shipped although i never expected her to do so!!!!!!!. FABULOUS customer service!!!!!!!!!.

Professional, personalized service with wonderful plants. I ordered the Crinum Lilies as a gift, and my friend received the bulbs in excellent shape with very specific planting instructions, complete with ribbon showing planting depth. Onalee's even sent an extra bulb for good measure. Plus, I received an immediate reply from Onalee when I emailed a question. I definitely would order from Onalee's again!

I've been searching high and low for a new red leaf (false roselle) hibiscus since I got bad advice from a local garden center last winter. Mine didn't survive the winter, and nobody in town had one (most hadn't even heard of it). Then I came across the link to Onalee's Seeds on PlantScout. I ordered three different hibiscus varieties. After my order the seeds came quickly, were well packed (the seedling ID photos and planting tips were a great help). I planted the seeds this past weekend and am already seeing signs of life. I'll definitely order from Onalee again.
Ordered two hard to find yellow walking iris plants. Received them yesterday and was very pleased with the plants. Plant roots were still moist and ready to plant and as described were budded and ready to bloom, in fact one small bloom had already appeared. I will definitely keep this site in my bookmarks and am looking at some other plants I would like to order. A great find.

I recently placed an order for 4 packs of seed on 2/25 and received them on 2/29. I had a problem receiving a confirmation from paypal but Onalee was fantastic about communicating with me directly. She is also extremely generous with the seed counts. I ordered a pack of 10 seeds White Texas Star Hibiscus and received 17, 15 seeds of Red Hibiscus and received 28 and 24 Golden Rain Tree seeds (received 54). I have yet to sow the Latex Vine but I am sure there are at least twice the number of seeds in the pack than is listed (24). Love this site. Onalee understands not only the nature of the plants from pure observation and experience but also the botany of her product. As a trained botanist and plant taxonomist, it was easy to find what I wanted and needed here. I purchased some rhizomes and seeds and shipping was fast and packaging was clean. The items were packaged with care and the seeds have extremely detailed and accurate growing instructions. I absolutely will revisit the site and will purchase from Onalee's seeds again soon. Thanks!

After a lot of research looking into the best plants to supply hummingbirds with year-round nectar, I came up with a list of must-have perennials, one of which was the 'Indian Shot' Canna Lily. Looking for suppliers, I found that I could pay from $5 to $10 for a single plant or corm, or I could order seeds from Onalee (paying $2 for 10+ seeds). Actually, I planned to order seeds a year earlier, but they were already sold out when I had finally decided on everything I wanted. This year, they were sold out again, even earlier! However, since the website mentioned that I should email queries and questions, I emailed Onalee, asking when Canna seeds would be available again. She promptly found (or packaged) more Canna seeds and let me know that she had made them available on her website. I ordered the Canna seeds and seeds for several other hummingbird plants. A few days later I received the seeds I requested, along with a few thoughtful extras. Additionally, Onalee promised to inform me when she next had available crocosmia corms.
Regarding Onalee's Seed Packages:
Onalee has written long and thorough germination instructions, included on each seed packet, explaining step-by-step, in great detail, how to best start and care for each type of seed. The packets also include photographs of newly sprouted seedlings of each plant, which I find to be incredibly useful. Though I have never started 'complicated' seeds before, such as seeds requiring 'chipping', 'nicking', 'sanding', 'pre-soaking' for specific times in water of specific temperatures, or seeds which prefer 'bottom-heat', with Onalee's instructions (and a heat mat, digital thermostat, and grow-light), I feel confident that I can succeed with these seeds. I plan to scan the seed packages and save them for my own future reference.
In conclusion, Onalee's customer service is excellent. She clearly loves plants and knows how to grow them. Her seed packets show uncommon thoughtfulness and care, both for her customers and for the seeds she propagates and sends out into the world.
I expect I will successfully sprout dozens of 'Indian Shot' Canna Lilies, as well as many other hummingbird favorites. I'll post again or edit this at a later date, to report my sprouting/growing outcomes.

Onalee is my favorite source for flower seeds. She has the best selection of native and unusual plants. You can't beat the free shipping and personal customer service. Recently I had a problem with a particular seed and I wrote for advice. She answered right away and was very helpful. She offered to send more seeds so I could try again. Today she sent 2 more packs. I've ordered seed for years from many companies and never experienced such a helpful and caring vendor.
I ordered the seeds, received an email the next day and the seeds on the fourth day. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. The seeds are well wrapped; love the seedling identification photo on the package as well. Thanks for a great experience.

I just received my first order of seeds today, and I can say I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and details of the packaging of the seeds. The seeds were packaged in the nicest envelopes with VERY detailed instructions on sowing, which I appreciate greatly! Onalee has very interesting seeds and choices. The seeds arrived quickly, and the e-mail correspondence with Onalee was prompt and courteous. I can't wait to order more seeds when they come back in season. As I understand she only ships seeds when they are at optimal quality and freshness for germination, which is a practice I could not agree more with; I would be happy to wait for certain seeds knowing they will be at their best when they arrive. I'm excited to see the results after planting, and will update! I would recommend Onalee for seeds any day!

I have ordered seeds from many different companies as well as individuals over the years and I have never been as impressed with any of them as I am with Onalee's Seeds. The seeds I ordered look great and they came in the nicest seed packs I have ever seen. I love all of the sowing and growing details that are included right on the pack. My order also arrived very quickly and the prices were very reasonable. By the way, Onalee's Seeds was the only source for a small quantity of Indigofera hirsuta I could find anywhere. I will definitely be ordering from this company again.

That shows how much customer satisfaction is important to her more than selling. she is a very professional and an expert person to deal with. all my seeds have grown perfectly. an OXALIS bulbs was sent to me and travelled thousands of miles it was wrapped in a way that would tell you a love story between Onalee and her plants and seeds.
Although there are many people selling seeds around where i live. i still prefer to order from her. and on the top of this she doesn’t mind answering any question about any other plant that was not purchased from her. she has achieved the 100000 % satisfaction

I ordered my seeds on a weekend and had a problem with the payment screen, so I emailed Onalee with my dilemma. I recieved an answer within HOURS apologizing for the delay and saying the problem was fixed. I ordered my seeds with no problem. They arrived in two days! The planting instructions are very detailed, including how to control any specific pest the plant may be prone to. If everybody ran their business like Onalee, there would be peace in the consumer community.

The people at this company grow their own seeds and plants so they know their products very well. I am impressed with the customer service and do not know how it could be better. My recent order was shipped two days after the order and arrived (from FLA to MX) in good shape and good time. I was truly delighted with the thorough information on the seed packaging. The most wonderful feature of the seed packaging is a clear image of a seedling and they are the only seed company i've done business with who includes this feature. Always my first question is "what does the seedling look like"? I don't know how many times i have nurtured new growth only to find out it was not the plant i thought it was so i am just crazy about this feature. Onalees seeds is a really great place to order seeds from ,placed my order on 1/3/2012 and got my seeds on 1/7/2012 which was very quick and she even paid the postage on them, which is unheard now days , plus got a free pack of seeds with my order , And she is the only person that even had the seeds I have been looking for , so I really like the over all service she provided , Keep it up , I will order from her again , it is great to know such a small company has seeds that the big ones dont even try or want to carry Thank you !!!!

I ordered Vigna caracalla (Corkscrew Vine) seeds from Onalee, and am very happy with the seeds. I got them quickly, they were well packed (with bubble wrap) and look good. She even threw in an extra. The seeds came with great starting/planting instructions with helpful tips. Communication with Onlaee was pleasant, she was very helpful.
The seeds were pretty pricey (over $2/seed), but after I ordered some on ebay a few weeks ago and the seller sent me Vigna phaseolus caracalla, I thought it best I spring for Corkscrew vine seeds from a reputable source.
I just started them today, so I can't comment on germination yet, but will follow up with another post.

I am starting my first Monarch butterfly garden, and based on DG ratings, I placed my first order with Onalee. I certainly wasn't disappointed! Timely emails re my order and USPS got my order here quickly (you never know!). I am so impressed with the seed envelopes that Onalee has printed. What great info! I have gardened for 30 years and still I picked up a few tips! Considering the expense of packing, shipping, and the free seeds, my total cost was extremely reasonable.
