November 12, 2009 | 5 years ago I stopped by Onalee's Nursery and purchased some crinum plants. They bloomed this year and weren't what I thought I had purchased. While cleaning house I ran across an email I had received from her about this purchase, and thought I would just mention it to her, but didn't expect her to "make it good". I just wanted her to know that she might have mixed up her merchandise a tad. The bulbs weren't labeled when I picked them up (they were planted in a container at the time). Onalee contacted me immediately, asked a couple of questions, and INSISTED on replacing the bulbs. I explained that I didn't expect her to replace them, because the bulbs I had did live and did bloom. Onalee values her reputation and her customers good will so much that she sent the correct bulbs, with two added bulbs of another color. They arrived today. I am ecstatic - they are beautiful - fresh enough to have been dug this morning. Onalee is an A+ nursery owner. Only wish there were more business owners out there with her ethics. Thanks, Onalee.

Besides getting my order in record speed, my mail contained seed envelopes full of information including a picture of a seedling, and all of the germination and growing requirements anyone could possibly hope for. The milkweed envelope even included a description of butterfly cats and cautioned about not killing them along with aphids! She truly has thought of everything to help any new or experienced gardener. Her prices are great, a bonus pack of seeds is included, and shipping if free. Need I say more?? |

October 11, 2009 | Ordered moonflower seeds & only 1 out of 7 vines produced a couple flowers...The flowers that bloomed had NO FRAGRANCE whatsoever....The other vines that grew produced flower buds but then every single one of them turned black...
Tho the seeds I ordered arrived very quickly I was very disappointed in the obvious bad batch of seeds!

As the vendor stated it may have ben other conditions in my area ,as our weather this summer was cooler then normal...Yes the seeds sprouted for me....But one thing I can say for sure is that the few flowers that did bloom were very nice & big BUT they had NO fragrance WHATSOVER...Prior to ordering I did inquire if these moonflowers had the fragrance that I have heard many people on other forums speak about...Also had read there are other varities which bloom but have no scent..
I'm sorry I posted hastily here without consulting the vendor first....The service from Onalees was excellent, emails prior to ordering were answered quickly & my moonflower seeds arrived in a matter of days once ordered..

Obviously, the seeds germinated, so they weren't 'bad seeds'. I have no control over the growing conditions after that and growing conditions are what will determine how a plant performs - temperature, moisture, type of soil, amount of sun, fertilizer, etc. all play a part in how well a plant grows and blooms. I'm sorry that this customer is unhappy, and I would have been happy to go over all this with them and either replace the seeds or refund their money, if they had only contacted me rather than go directly to the negative feedback route. With 581 positive reviews here and over 7,400 positive feedbacks on ebay (and NO NEGATIVES until this one), I think that it would be clear that if you just contact me, I will make sure your concerns are addressed. |

September 28, 2009 | Wow. Amazingly fast and accurate service. Last Friday, I emailed a question. Received a reply later that day. Ordered seed packets that evening. Immediately received email confirmation. On Saturday morning, received email on shipping notification. Package in mail today!
Everything was exactly as ordered. The seed packets were protected with bubble wrap. They include a lot of helpful information, including a seedling picture. At first, I was put off by having a seedling instead of a flower. Then I realized, I could find the flower picture anywhere. But no one else tells me what to look for in the garden. How helpful !! Otherwise, I might "weed" my seedlings.

Order was well-tracked and prepared, with planting instructions provided before bulbs arrived. Packaging was innovative and creative plus highly effective. Moist newspaper packing material kept the roots viable, and I was able to get them in the ground just ahead of an approaching rain front. Trimmed foliage appears to be quite healthy, so I have great expectations of enjoying blooms soon. Great follow-through by Onalee throughtout the ordering and delivery process. Definitely a highly favorable experience.... |

August 04, 2009 | I ordered a fairly large quantity of Hibiscus sabdariffa seeds from Onalee's. I was quite happy to find them in quantity at a very reasonable price. The order came quickly. I planted the day after I receive the seeds and they popped up in about 2 or 3 days. Excellent germination rate, 100%.

I placed my order for passiflora incarnata seeds yesterday (Friday) and received the seeds in the mail today (Saturday). The envelope containing the seeds was wrapped in bubble-wrap and the envelope itself was printed with the germination instructions along with a photo of the seedlings. I have done business with a lot of online companies and Onalee's by far is the best. Thank you Onalee!! |
