We received some natal plums from Wellspring during the hottest part of the year. The plants arrived in great condition & are doing great. We're very satisfied.

I bought 6 different plants from here. Except for one, they all arrived very healthy, very quickly and are growing well. The one exception, a night blooming jasmine arrived with leaf loss. He refunded my cost immediately.

I ordered several types of elephant ears from Wellspring this spring. The prices were reasonable, as was the shipping. They communicated very well. I placed an order on Saturday, and had my plants by Wednesday. The packaging of the plants was amazing! They couldn't have moved in that box if you had dropped it! I would recommend and I will order from them in the future!

Very good to deal with. Recieved my order in a timely manner but just wish they would have sent email that it was on the way, as I was wondering when it would come.

Ok so I must be getting old or can’t comprehend what I’m reading or can’t see the little print but in any case I owe Wellspring Garden’s a BIG apology they do in fact have a email address and phone number listed on the web site!!!!! And they sent me a email and gave me instructions as to where it could be found she also told me that my plants would be shipped out this week. So I again humbly request forgiveness from the good folks at Wellspring Gardens and to any that read the then negative and now positive comment. hdjoe513@msn.com

I bought 6 Crazy Pink Echinaceas off Ebay and I have to say these were some of the best looking plants, I have received on-line. They were packed superbly and shipped promptly. They were excellent starter plants already blooming and extremely healthy. These plants were also hard to come by as my order for them was cancelled from 3 other nurseries. If there is anything you like at Wellspring buy with confidence

I got four Alo/Colocasias from them on eBay. The "starter" plants looked very healthy and vigorous to me. This impression has been confirmed by their rocketlike growth.

My first order, I went all in, I figured I would take a chance, and the whole community wanted bananas...so I fronted the money and hoped for the best. The best is what I got. 40 bananas in great shape (all dwarf cavendish). Each had a slightly damaged leaf, because of a dowel in the pot to keep box from coming down on the plant. But I realize that the dowel saved them from getting smushed by the "nice" post office! But each one came in great (and two days from florida to nebraska as well), no shipping shock of any kind, well packaged, all trying to put on new leaves, and all of the size stated! They are fantastic. I placed another order for four different bananas, and one did come in damaged (snapped in half, looks like the PO was playing football with my plants), and Donovan immediately offered a replacement (but I just cut it down, because I knew it would come back!) So now, I have gone back, and ordered almost 20 more bananas, and some bird of paradise, and some pampas grass....all kinds of stuff (because he's got all kinds of great stuff), and I know they will come in great. The seller is very good at communication, always kept me up to date when we were waiting for a good shipping date (as I am in zone 4 and decided in January that I wanted a banana!)! Donovan is very fast to get out the invoice when there are several orders! And the shipping! It can't be beat, how he discounts for extra plants. He's awesome! If you need exotic tropical plants, you must visit this online store, or check it out on ebay. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH BEAUTIFUL PLANTS!

I ordered 10 "Black Magic", Elephant Ears from this company through E-Bay. I was Shocked to say the least, when my package arrived. I have never seen So Much Care put into packaging, as these were. They were starter plants and growing well, with gorgeous leaves. They also communicated great concerning my shipment. From my learning experiences with mail order companies (mostly bad), I don't think you can go wrong ordering from Wellsprings. I will definitely order from them again and again.

I ordered three plants (two seperate orders) and two bags of fertilizer via Ebay..
A Tiger Fern which is most interesting..fronds are green and yellow. I also got a Basjoo Banana which was nice size and very reasonable in cost..
The owner kept an eye on the Weather Channel until our temps exceeded 25-30F.
Plants and fertilizers were well-packaged...Wellsprings kept me updated about shipping so I wouldn't think my package was somewhere in Timbuktu ....Toni

On April 21st, 2008, Toni05 added the following:

Received 4 nice-sized plants today. Acacia, Alocasia Hilo Beauty, Bottle Brush and Tea Olive. The Tea Olive is exceptionally large. All are healthy, pest-free plants.
They were well-packaged, and shipping prompt. Toni

I purchased several plants through their ebay auctions throughout the summer. This would be a positive review if it weren't for one thing. The auctions advertised small starter plants in 3 in pots, and I recieved plugs. The plug size plants were either hit or miss. The bananas were healthy and with established root systems, but one or two varieties of plants were so small and young that they barely had a root system. That is fine by me for the low price, I was just not expecting to have to coddle a few plants. Other than the small underdeveloped plugs, everything else, communication, packing and shipping time, was great. So, I will be ordering from them again, but only if it's something that I can't find somewhere else and that I don't mind spending the extra time on if it arrives small.

Just got an order of 7 nanner plants in today after a short 2-week wait and they arrived in wonderful condition. They're clean TC plants potted up and ready to go - no rooting of bare-root pups required and I'm sitting here watching a new leaf on one slowly opening up. The owner was very patient with my 1001 questions and I'll definitely put in another order here shortly!

i bought a bunch of plants on eBay from this merchant. at first, when the plants arrived, i was very dissapointed with the small plants. but when i repotted them, i noticed a great root system. plants look healthy. the plants were well packaged, and arrived quick. the seller also mentioned in the auction, that these are small plants, so there was no misrepresentation.
we'll see how these grow, i think they will do great. i got some bananas, pomegranite, barbados cherry, bay tree, birds of paradise, and figs. one of the little fig trees came with a little fig on it already.
so far, so good...

I ordered 5 different Colocasias from Wellspring. They were packed well, labeled properly, and arrived very healthy without as much as a bent leaf. The shipping is also inexpensive compared to other nurseries. I would recommend them for small plants at inexpensive prices.
On July 7th, 2006, chunx added the following:

I'd like to do a follow-up and let everyone know that my small plants are not small any longer, by far. They are now huge and in 18 to 22" pots. Every plant survived and is flourishing. I will order from them again, that's a certainty.

They promptly and patiently answered my questions, which I really appreciated.

I ordered 3 kinds of bananas (2 of each) and a galangal (ginger) from their eBay Dutch auctions. Shipping was delayed on one of the varieties, but they assurred me that if there was cold damage etc they would replace or refund, and the plants arrived in great shape -- along with a pair of 'Truly Tiny' banana plants as a bonus!

I'd order from them again without hesitation.

I bought several plants from this company's eBay store. Although delivery is a little slow, the plants have always arrived in excellent condition, and the owner (Donovan) has always been quick to respond to my inquiries. The store's web site is very informative. I would highly recommed buying from this store.

My wife entered on a dutch auction on ebay. The vendor is wellspring100. We got three orinoco bananas and a coffea arabica. We were quite worried because it took several weeks. Now that we have the plants, we have no complaint at all. The plants are magnificent and were perfectly wrapped. In transplanting the coffea I was able to spit it and now have four nice healthy coffee trees and two more that may be ok. I just entered another bid with them on ebay. They also have great information on their website!
