Brian is simply a pleasure to deal with! My May order was delayed at customs and Brian went beyond the call of duty to assure me I would get my plants. His kindness was matched by his generousity, as he sent me more value in bonus plants than my actual order! After about 3 weeks in transit, his cultivars arrived, and as a testiment to their hardiness, all survived. Some have since bloomed, while others have formed small clumps already! Thank you for the wonderful experience Brian. Of the few hybridizers that I have bought directly from, you are definitely the nicest and most helpful!

I ordered four plants from Brian off of his Spring sale and he sent along 6 gift plants--not just double fans but small clumps. He was more than generous plus the plants look terrific. I'm looking forward to seeing these great plants in bloom next season.

Brian's plants were freshly dug multiple divisions and took off right after planting. There are very few breeders trying to combine modern daylily colors with the plant habit and vigor of the species and older near-to-species cultivars. This sort of work may help prevent the modern daylily from going the route of tall bearded Irises, so many of which suffer in a hard climate. I look forward to breeding with Brian's plants.

Brian Mahieu sent me a huge box with many fans. I was particularly thrilled with his bonus plants as he sent me two of his own 2003 cultivars. Plants arrived on time and the roots were freshly dug. I soaked and planted them quickly and they all are growing again. What more can I ask for? Thanks Brian.

Exremely pleased with this transaction in every way. Brian was very pleasant and quick to respond to all e-mail inquiries. My daylilies arrived looking healthy and vigorous. Brian was most generous with 2 bonus plants of his beauties. Looking forward to being a repeat customer. Thanks Brian.

Brian sent me huge clumps in the fall of 2004. Absolutely beautiful plants, and he's great to deal with! I was able to divide everything with a friend, and we still had clumps. The best!

I am intrigued by Brian's cultivars. This year I could only order one intro. He sent me four bonus plants, all very large divisions. My dealings with him have only been positive. He answers emails promptly. and is eager to get feedback as to how his plants grow in my area. I would certainly like to have more Mahieu daylilies, but space dictates that I try to control my acquisitions, considering that I am a SPUFO addict and am collecting from quite a few hybridizers who specialize in those forms. Perhaps next year I can sneak another one or two of his into our small space.

Brian is great to deal with. It is obvious he enjoys what he does and is excited to help. His H. citrina hybrids are nothing short of fantastic. Shipped large fans with 2 generous bonuses. I'll be back.

WOW! What a great shipment. Great plants, and the most generous bonus I’ve ever gotten. I ordered two double fans, and mentioned that I was looking for easy pod parents, and got three bonus plants that added up to more than I had spent, all described as extremely pod fertile. Fast shipment, generous fan count, and nice to deal with – no wonder the sold out list is so long :)

Brian sent me GREAT plants and LOTS of them - healthy, generous divisons, up to 10 fans in some cases, and generous extras too - I am really looking forward to seeing them bloom! Thanks, Brian!

Good to meet you Brian, I liked being there to see the plants being dug . They are really doing great in the pots. I think I should have put them in bigger pots. The one gallon probably didn't give them enough room to grow, but they are looking strong. When my wife sees the colors, we will be calling on you again.

Brian was great to work with. I purchased a couple of hundred seedlings from him last fall and was overwhelmed on their receipt! These were large and vigorous plants, much nicer than I expected, and have continued to grow steadily all winter. The actual count was significantly higher than I ordered!

Brian sent me some great looking clumps as part of his fall 2004 sale--most impressive.I grow several of his introductions and find them to be quite hardy and vigorous. His program is large, producing up to 150,000 seedlings/year.I suspect we will be hearing more and more about him in the daylily community.

I have been tremendously impressed by the quality of Brian Mahieu's plants. All of the plants that I received were packed and labelled superbly, and were sent quickly to me. Every one of them looked great when unpacked. All the plants established very rapidly and were impeccably free of pests and diseases. I can safely say that they were amongst the best daylilies I have ever recieved and I have regularly imported daylilies from many different growers for quite a few years now. Brian's approach to hybridising is unique and I have a huge amount of respect for his original and exciting work with daylilies.

First purchases from Brian grew & performed as he promised, leading me to order more daylilies from Brian, bringing my total Mahieu collection to 15. Each cv had more fans than he promised. It is important to note that none of my Mahieu plants have shown any indication of disease or "wimpy" settling-in problems. A surprising plus in dealing with Brian - he promptly answers e-mail questions & comments. He never seems too busy to provide that personal touch.

Brian is an excellent hybridizer. His plants are some of the best I've ever seen. I will continue to buy from him.
