The scoop on 'Heavenly Orchid'

I recently ordered two plants from Heavenly Orchid. I have to say that the orchids that I recieved were ok at best. The packaging were very poor as the plants were dislodged and potting medium were everywhere in the box. Upon further investigation, the roots of the Vanda coerulea and Stanhopea embreei were rotted or in very poor condition.

I will have to consider very carefully if I would ever order form them again. It seems as if their plants are "so-so" and their shipping is rather high.

Ordered two bottles of fertilizer from Heavenly Orchid. I've been looking for fertilizers that doesn't contain Urea (cheap nitrogen) for some time, so I was happy locating All Puprpose and Blooming ferts w/o Urea from Heavenly Orchid's via Ebay.
Prices are decent considering ferts w/o Urea are fairly expensive.
The seller responded to emails promptly and shipping was incredibly quick and well-packed/sealed. Toni

I got two orchids and some physan from Heavenly Orchid, through Ebay "buy it now". The desriptions were accurate and the shipping charge was reasonable. They were shipped a few days after my order and were very well packed. The plants were healthy and good sized. Heavenly Orchid has a good selection of orchids and supplies at reasonable prices. I would buy from them again.

Bought two Miltoniopsis on Ebay. One survived and is doing well (had 5 flower spikes this past May), one didn't. The second one was a weak plant that seemed to have been almost deliberately under-potted, longer roots cut off and shoved into a smaller pot than the plant liked. Both plants had aphids which weren't too bad but unacceptable in this circumstance.
He also didn't answer email for at least a couple of days. Not good.
I won't be buying from him again.

I have ordered over a hundred orchids from Keith. Basically all types out there. I have had nothing but good from him. All my plants were beautiful and just as described. When there was a problem, Keith was right there to make it right. He had even waited on me for payment from time to time. I would reccommend him to anyone. Matter of fact I have recommened him to several and they have had a great experiences too. I love to buy from Keith, Heavenly Orchids and will continue to buy from him.

On two separate occasions, I won auctions for orchids on EBay from Heavenly Orchid. Each time, an orchid that I had won was not available. Keith emailed me on both occasions and one time I substituted an orchid of equal value and on then other he refunded my money promptly.
I base my negative opinion of this seller because of two reasons.
First, he puts orchids up for auction that he does not have and are unavailable.
Secondly, I have found that health of the orchids sent to me is dubious at best. I have been able to recover all orchids he has sent to me - but one orchid I fear may not make it. Additionally, compared to *some* other Ebay orchid vendors, the quality of his orchids is inferior.

Never buy from Heavenly Orchids!!! I tried to purchase a Brassia from Keith. The picture with the description on ebay was of an awesome Brassia larger than a 2 liter plastic coke bottle. I paid and waited for this plant. Keith sent an email back explaining that this size plant was sold out but would substitute a smaller plant that was in spike. I wanted the plant adverstised. I then didn't hear from him for 10 days!!When I threatened to give him a negative ebay score he then immediately threatened me with a negative ebay score!! How funny is that?! Anyway, after I finally sent him a threatening email he did refund my money.... The picture of this Brassia is still on ebay!!! Search Brassia and see for yourself. Keith is a master of bait and switch tactics and a scam artist!!! Oh, his excuse for not updating the page to take off the Brassia picture was that he is expanding his operation. What will his excuse be with you?? Bottom line: Hellish experience with Heavenly Orchids.

I orderd 3 Angraecun orchids 2 weeks ago,Keith couldnt find my order !
After 10 days he finally e-mailed me to ask what I ordered.I sent him 3 copies of the order and the pay pal reciept. I ordered them off his web site{NOT E-BAY]. I finally canceled my order and put in a claim with Pay- Pal.
Yesterday he sent me a e-mail that he did not have all the plants that I ordered.Offered the option of refunding my money. I said ok refund all moneys involved.
He has not made any attenpt to do anything.

Hopefully I will not find out whom he is.Because I do not like being RIPPED OFF. I have been raising orchids for over 30 years.

The Cattleya alliance is particularly well represented. Their shipping is fast, and customer service is the best you will ever encounter. The plants available change often. From time to time they offer specimen size orchids and these tend to be great deals. I have purchased from them about six times and was always very pleased. You may pay by Paypal or use credit cards.
