I was very happy to find a Daylily I was looking for and some new friends with great advice for taking care of daylilies.
I got some really nice plants and a second one as a bonus plant which was just perfect!
I really like having a close company to deal with because they know more about my zone and that is what I was hoping for. Great plants and great advice, Great job!!

always get an order confirmation, shipping confirmation and great customer service.
I have never gotten a small cultivar from Marietta's, except a small bonus here and there. When I get big plants I really don't look for a bonus but I will take what I get, Mostly they are big. I believe they do not send plants that are not up to the standards they have set for them selves. Good Job!!

|This will be my third year ordering from Marietta Gardens. The owners are super nice people and have communicated very well with me. Their daylilies are just wonderful, large healthy plants shipped at the right time. Great bonus plants too. I've been working on a memory garden for 3 years and they have such a great selection and priced reasonably for the size of plants that you receive.

|My son and me took the ride down this year June 15th 2011 during peak blooming season and it was a wondeful site to behold all of the 1000's of daylilies blooming thanks to John and Fayes year long hard work, you would think it would take 100 people to take care of such gardens from sun up till sun down and yet just the 2 of them manage to pull it off spectacurly. John and Faye have been so nice to my son, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about both of them. Faye always spoils him by giving him tons and tons of extras. This year my son bought Elizabeth's Leaping Lilac and some past intros of John's like Purple Avenger, so Faye gave him Large clumps of both Eternal Praise and Birds of a feather which sell for like 75$ a fan!! Yes indeed they are very fine generous people of the highest caliber and good friends to my son. They will always have our return buisness. Sandra.

| Marietta Daylily Gardens has been an all around, excellent company to buy from. This was my third year ordering from Marrietta Daylily Gardens. They promptly answer my e-mail questions, notify me when plants are shipped, ship plants out on time and with a packing list, and have sent many, many extra fans with my orders. Plants have been huge and healthy. And the gift plants Marietta has sent me have often been from their own beautiful introduction list. Marietta Daylily Gardens is a professional yet friendly place to purchase daylilies and will continue to be one of my first Go TO sites in future purchases.

|I placed an order on Monday and recieved it on Tuesday. The plants were fresh and green and beautiful! The Shooters are such nice people to deal with and have great communication. They are very generous with bonus plants too! I can't say enough about them. Have bought from them in the past at their gardens and have always loved my plants. I am extremely happy with my order!

|Marietta has always been my favorite place to buy daylilies. I first visited in 2003, and have been back several times. I also have ordered several times using their extensive website. John and Faye have become personal friends and have gotten me started with hybridizing. Their plants are always healthy, and if they have enough of the cultivar, they give you a very generous amount. ( I have received up to 10 fans). If they are low on a particular plant, and can only sell me a couple of fans, they tell me and give me the option of buying something different. They give me very generous bonuses. I have found that you get better bonuses if you let them choose. They give their introductions usually, and the value is usually much better that the started percentage of the order. Super place to shop! Their website is also easy to use, and when I still had dialup internet, it wan't nearly as slow as most sites.

|My first trip to Marietta Gardens was after blooming season but was still Truely Magical. Faye and John are Wonderful People with really nice souls. Their selection of rare ufo's and spiders is incredible and many of the most unique ones were created by them or their daughter Elizabeth. I am fairly new to daylilies and Faye and John both were extremely helpful in sharing their knowledge and expertise about spiders varieties and breeding with us. Faye gave me tons of Extras especially of ouachita beauty a rare classic pale apricot spider whichs name is dear to me as its named after the ouachitas of arkansas where a dear friend of mine lives. From now on unless i cant find a variety, im going to be buying all my daylily fans from John and Faye. Not just their selection is incredible, but They themselves make it all worth while. 5 STARZ AAAAAAAAAA+++++++++++HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!

|I visited Marrietta Gardens in June to view the fields in bloom. What a treat. And these folks could not have been nicer, even getting me sunscreen and ice water b/c the day was so hot, and I had not come prepared. I would highly recommend viewing the numerous daylilies in bloom. There were so many that I didn't even get finished. A wonderful selection, and very interesting people to talk to and learn from.

|I had emailed Faye about the availability of some daylilies and also if it was too late to plant in my zone 4/5 garden and she responded immediately. I then placed my order online,
and received my confirmation right away. I was grateful for how quickly they were going to send them, since it was getting late in the season. I was notified by email the day they were shipped and was expecting them to arrive in 2 days since they send them priority mail. I waited, and waited, but after several days my plants did not arrive, so I called Marietta's, quite frantic about my lost package. This, of course, was no fault of theirs. The US Postal Service was totally to blame, because when my package finally did arrive, many days late and dented and flattened, my address was clear and correct. The box had several postmarks that I couldn't make out from its 'roadtrip' across the country and looked pretty beat up. The plants looked pretty dehydrated as one would imagine, but I put them in buckets to soak. John called me several times to check if I had
received my package and when I told him that they had
finally arrived but were pretty sad-looking he surprised me when he told me that they would be sending me 3 of their introductions and 1 of my worse-looking lily right away, to make up for my unfortunate
experience with the postal service. Keep in mind that my
package being lost was NOT their fault, but they wanted to
console me since I probably sounded really upset. This was the first time I have ordered from Marietta, but I know it will
not be the last! They get an A+ for outstanding customer service. And when my 4 bonus lilies came (in 2 days) they were perfect and very generous. The lilies from my original order are starting to green up and may just make it, so that speaks well of the health of their lilies. I am already making
up my list for NEXT year and you can bet I will be a loyal
Marietta customer for life.

|I just got my order from Marietta Gardens today, and I'm very happy with what I've received. I ordered 4 daylilies, which were supposed to be 2 fans each, and I mostly got 4 nice size fans of each, including a bonus worth $32 of Faye Shooter's MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR '02. I will definitely be ordering from them again. Faye provided good communication upon receiving my order and when it was shipped. I'm pleased, to say the least. They deserve an A+.

|I ordered one daylily from Marietta Gardens on Sept. 5, and received a large and healthy example today, six days later. But what blew my mind was the lovely "gift" daylily I also received, gratis. I was so pleased that I made another order.
Ms. Faye Shooter sent a timely notification e-mail upon receipt of my order, and also one letting me know that it had been shipped. I am very pleased with Marietta Gardens' on-line service and will order again.

|I really needed some hand-holding and had called some California Day lily nurseries without much assistance. I fell in love with the unusual and large selection Marietta had to offer and did a list, called and talked to Faye for a good half hour, then whittled the list down and talked to her again the next day.
I ordered on Tuesday and received them on Friday so I was able to plant them on Saturday. The fans looked great. There was a little mixup with my bonus plant - Faye went ahead and shipped me another Bonus at no charge. They look like they're already adjusting - I just planted them last weekend - can't wait to see what they all look like when they bloom.
Overall - a great buying experience and I wouldn't hesitate to shop there again.

|I received my order yesterday, and I could not be more pleased! The daylily divisions they sent were enormous and extremely healthy-looking. I have no doubt these are going to thrive in my garden! Great value for the money. And Faye could not be nicer to deal with. Lots of great email communication and help in choosing the right daylilies for me. I was looking for a true, deep purple, and she was kind enough to make several recommendations.
Can't say enough good! Don't hesitate to order from Marietta Gardens. You will not be sorry!

|I had no response to the email I sent and then no response to my phone message. I really wanted these daylilies, so I called back a few times, but no one ever answered the phone. I thought there may have been a family emergency occurring, then realized I hadn’t checked Watchdog for this company! That same April day, there was a new Watchdog post from a perfectly happy customer who ordered at the same time that my attempt to order was being ignored. Shaw’s Sunshine Garden had the daylilies I wanted, and they are true professionals. I’m glad I didn’t give my money to Marietta. If you’d like acknowledgement of your email, of you’d like someone to call you back, if you’d like someone to want to exchange money for plants, don’t go to Marietta Gardens.

|This is the second year that I have ordered from the Shooters and I can't say enough good about them. Not only do they send lovely plants and wonderful bonuses, they actually communicate with their customers! Faye is awesome to deal with, and John Shooter actually took the time to call me personally on more than one occasion. I would give them the highest possible rating for customer service--and in addition to all this, they have great prices.

|They have a very large selection. I ordered 3 daylilies. They came nicely packaged and were huge (more than one of each) with huge roots. They also included a free daylily, which is very much appreciated. I would definitely order from them again.

|I have to say, my initial first time experience is great! This is my first time ordering from them. I was looking for Primal Scream daylily, and found it at Marietta Gardens via another post on Garden Web. I am impressed so far. I ordered it on Friday and asked if it could be shipped on Monday, and I got an immediate response! Yes, they could ship it on Monday. I just received an email again, saying they have shipped my plant, and not only that but included a VERY nice freebie 'Marietta Magic' daylily!
I can't wait to plant these lovely daylilies!

|I ordered my second order of you angle you daylilys from marietta's and they are so nice on the phone and fast with the shipping. The plants were dug hours after i got off the phone and sent that day, talk about fresh. The fans were twice what the internet said and very strong and nice roots.
I will order all my daylilys form them and with over 1000 different plants to choose form they have it all. They get a 10 out of ten rating from me. You will love them. Jon

|I have been ordering from this company for about 5 years now and have been always very pleased. As a matter of fact, I usually place two orders because one is never enough! The daylilies are usually large fans, depending on the variety, of course, and there is always a very nice bonus plant. This year I ordered 3 fans of a $5.00 plant, which turned out to be out of stock and they replaced it with 3 huge fans of a $35.00 plant!
The Shooter's are always very courteous and prompt with replies. I wish I didn't live so far - would love to visit the open house in June!

|I went with Marietta for some hard-to-find spider daylillies because of the glowing recommendations here. I couldn't be more pleased. The clumps are very large and the bonus plan was another one I wanted but couldn't afford. They've got my business again, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

|Can't imagine anyone being dissatisfied with this company. Just a wonderful experience. The plants are so healthy and carefully packaged. I have never lost one. But even more important, the customer service is above the top. So friendly and helpful in every way. I love the bonus plant. It's such fun to wait and see what you have gotten. From my very first order, it was like buying from the family owned store in your little home town years ago. So glad there are still businesses with this integrity. Try'em. You won't go wrong!

|I love this company!!! I have a small yard and can only purchase a few daylilies a year. The fans from Marietta are HUGE. The bonus plants are lovely and for me, always a Shooter creation. Wonderful communication and great packaging. Would highly recommend.

|Received my first order from Mariettas today. All I can say is Wow! All of the plants were enormous, healthy & green. Packaging was wonderful, every one clearly marked. (Although a couple of the tags didn't want to stay on because they couldn't reach around the fan) John couldn't have been nicer in our phone conversations. Very helpful & accomidating. |I am a first buyer who has only one daylily. After reading a lot about daylilies this spring, I emailed Marietta this week and got a return email from Faye Shooter in a few minutes. I live in the deep south and needed the daylilies ASAP. Faye promised that my daylilies, ordered on Wednesday, would go out the next day-Thursday. I was astonished to receive them late yesterday-Friday.
All of the daylily fans are a wonderful size, and they are fresh and healthy. The gift plants are also large and healthy. I cannot imagine being more pleased with a company.
Also, I cannot imagine a person who is easier to deal with than Faye Shooter.

|I have driven past Marietta Gardens at least 10 times a year for the past 20 years and have always enjoyed traveling past the acres of green fronds in neat rows. Driving by when many plants are in bloom is breath taking. But I am not a gardener. This may explain why it took me 18 years to venture into the Marietta Garden's office looking for SOMETHING to plant in a natural area along the side of the house. I had the good fortune to meet John and Faye Shooter. John helped me pick out several plants from the catalog, dug them out of the fields and I left with my purchases, convinced that I would manage to kill them by the end of the month. That was March 2006.
I went home to Charlotte, planted them three days later in whatever ground is at the side of the house, no fertilizer, no special soil. I did water them. Imagine my suprise when several actually bloomed a month or two later. That first year I was stunned that they were alive. Last year the whole family went out every morning to see which buds were blooming. Each and every flower is like a work of art. I couldn't believe they were actually growing in my yard! Out of everything I picked out, the bonus flower that John selected is my favorite. 2007 brought water restrictions to a dry NC. We were not allowed to water our lawns in Charlotte for half of last year. But my plants are all coming up larger than last year. I can't wait to see what they look like this year.
Yesterday, I stopped back by Marietta Gardens and John and I dug several more out of the fields for me to take home. I was suprised to find out that my bonus flower is more expensive than anything I ordered. I planted them last night and can't wait for the blooms. And in case anyone is questioning whether the drought has impacted the quality of the Marietta Garden flowers, please be assured that everything I saw as we rode through the fields looked green, healthy and strong.

|I ordered one 'Taos' daylily last summer/fall and received my order promptly along w/ a bonus daylily 'Antique Sketchings' (that cost more than the daylily I ordered!) Both daylilies were of good size and I'm really looking forward to their display this coming season! *Also, I found their website to be so incredibly helpful. Because of their very extensive photo library along w/ descriptions for each cultivar... I can't imagine anyone NOT finding their perfect daylily here!

|I am thrilled to report another wonderful experience ordering and receiving my order from Marietta Gardens. This time Faye found me 25 South Seas for a garden.
We e-mailed back and forth with success. My order was shipped when I needed it and arrived in three days to Idaho; healthy, happy and nice sized plants. I will make them my 1st choice when trying to locate DLs now and in the future.
Thanks to them I am having a successful Fall.
P.S. My last order bloomed the same year and I was able to divide the plants this Fall to spread around the yard. I anticipate the same results with this order.

|It was such a pleasure to do business with Marietta Gardens. My order was quickly filled and shipped. The daylilies arrived in excellent condition. They were all of substantial size, very healthy, fresh and green. They also sent me lovely bonus plants.
I really appreciate the quick response from this nursery. Unlike many of the other daylily nurseries from which I have recently ordered plants, I didn't have to wait for weeks for my order to arrive. I plan to order more daylilies from them again, soon.
