March 09, 2006 | Gary's nursery is located in his yard that is also amazing landscaped with hundreds of large, rare palms and cycads, most which he himself raised from seed... this is probably the best collection of its kind in southern California that is 90% or more from seed only. He obviously knows his palms and can offer good growing advice as well as having a good selection. His prices are quite reasonable. October 20, 2005 | This is a small nursery that specializes in palms and cycads. Many of its offerings are sized smaller (seedlings & 1g) but larger, more mature specimens are also available. Prices are very reasonable, quality is good, and its selection will surprise you sometimes. Gary Wood is the gentlemanly owner/operator who also specializes in crafting plant signs. This place has been around since the late '80s and should be well-known within the nursery trade. Plant/price lists are updated frequently so it pays to ... bookmark it. In conclusion, a good, little nursery that deserves to be on everyone's checklist. |
