A friend and I had a very nice experience when we visited Hyla Brook Farm today. We got personalized attention in the form of an informative tour, good recommendations for our respective gardens, and a much needed drink of water. It was really nice to have such a peaceful, friendly experience. The plants look great, and I can't wait to plant them (or to go back and buy some more).

Hyla Brook Farm is less than 10 minutes down the road from us and we didn't know it was there until a friend took a walk down their road and discovered it. Went out recently and loved the plant selection, bought several native plants for a shady area and all are thriving. It's so beautiful and peaceful out there. Visit if you can.

This is a really great company owned by really nice people. The quality and selection of what they grow is spectacular, and they've even grown things for me from seed at special request.

Also, they have great concern for conservation and everything they sell is responsibly propagated.

The only negative thing I feel they could improve is their website (like add online ordering and being more reachable via email). Even so, since I usually visit the nursery directly, these things don't impact my opinion of them much.

I'd go as far to say that they are well on their way to being the best Native Plant nursery in all of Virginia.

This company has an excellent selection of native plants at reasonable prices. The owners are very knowledgeable and helpful. They deliver in person in the metropolitan Washington area and spent some time giving suggestions and advice. The perennials I ordered were in great condition.
