DON'T GET SUCKED IN LIKE I DID!!!
This company also has a Canadian division. I first saw the ad for Giant Tomato Trees listed in a coupon flyer. I decided to order 2 plants just to give them a try. The ad clearly stated that I would be receiving plants not seeds! However when the arrived I recieved 2 small peat pots filled with soil with seeds pre sown in them. I wrote back to the compay explaining that this is not what I wanted and that it was false advertising and asked for my money back. I have never heard anything back from them. I did start the seeds and they did both grow. The plants however were by no means giant (2 feet) they did produce a few tomatos but nothing out of the ordinary. I want to warn everyone to STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! if it sounds too good to be true it probably is!
I place my order on 6/30/08 and have not received my order or any responses to my emails which were returned to me as undeliverable. One of the reasons for no email response is that the customer service email address on the invoice I printed when I place my order is wrong, my invoice has firstname.lastname@example.org and the web site has email@example.com. My wife was told on 7/15/08 that our credit card would be charged in 24 hrs of the phone call. This wasn't true because she checked daily and this charge did not post till 7/20/08. The other thing she was told was the order will ship 7 - 10 days after the card was charged. If this is true my order will ship on the 27th or 30th of the month and I'll receive my order approx. the 2nd week of August. I have never order anything via the internet that has taken this long to be received. As of today (7/21/08) I have sent emails to two different email addresses other than the one on my invoice hoping for a reply. I have come to the conclusion that I will never order from this company again.
I ordered giant tree tomatoes and pumpkin seeds. I tried for a couple of weeks to get in touch with the company. I would call customer service and wait and wait and get a busy signal. I emailed customer service 10 times and didn't get a response until I threatened them. They cashed my check and I have not received anything. I finally got customer service on the phone and was promised my order in two weeks. It has been 4 weeks and I have not received anything. I am going to take action on this company. I am really disappointed. I was really looking forward to planting the giant tree tomatoes and pumpkins. I would advise anyone not to send money to this company. It is obvious by all of the negative comments that I have read, that this company is a fraud and taking advantage of innocent people.

When Phoning order in, was told by the rep that the price would be 10.00+5.95 shipping and as a bonus I was to receive an addition 3 Big Early Tomatoes. Also said they would arrive within 7-10 days. It took 2 1/2 months, PLUS I have been overcharged by 5.95 on my account. Some would say, ITS ONLY 5.95, why fuss??? They have too much freedom with our account numbers thats why....and...In my book, Overcharging by any amount is THEFT!
To reach them by phone is simply IMPOSSIBLE as well.
I HAVE CALLED FOR HOURS AND DAYS AND ONLY GET A BUSY SIGNAL! I TRIED EMAILING, AND GO NO ANSWER. I GOT A MAN WHO WAS TAKING ORDERS, BUT HE WAS NO HELP, HE WAS RUDE AND TOLD ME TO EMAIL.
I WILL NEVER AGAIN ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY SHOULD HAVE A WAY TO TRACK A ORDER.
When on the phone the person told methe price would be $10.00pluss shiping that was all i recived ofcorse you could not ask a conputer to tell me jest what the shiping and handeling would come to but I never thought that a small box that did not weight even a 1/4 of a pound would cost $11.00 And I think that in this day and time with money so hard for us people on disabilty to come by that we should have the rite to know jest what money they take out of our account!! when I tried to call back on the customer's # all I get is a busy signel Fran Dozier Not a happy customer
