Bought this product at Lowe's, but unfortunately I have no idea how well it would have worked against the deer. Within 2 nights, something (raccoon??) took each little container neatly apart and off its stake (which I had jammed in very tightly, as directed on the package), and enjoyed the contents. What little they left looks like dried blood meal, though I'm not sure if that's what it is.
So if you have nocturnal visitors other than deer, you might want to consider hanging these high on plants rather than putting them on stakes. Or try one package before you invest a lot of money in entertaining and feeding the local wildlife.
