My name is Brad and I was recently hired on at My Carnivore to drastically improve customer support. We completely understand the frustrations of some past customers, but we can ensure you these orders that were not fulfilled and emails that were not answered were a result of improper order management, and insufficient customer support and My Carnivore would never intentionally not fulfill an order or ignore a customer.
That being said there is simply no excuse for the previous poor support, all we can do at this point is improve upon our mistakes and provide greatly improved customer service. Over the past month I have answered every email sent to My Carnivore that was sent in the last two months and will continue to go back further to resolve other unanswered emails. All new emails will also be answered within 24 hours from here on out. I'm here for one reason, to provide great customer service and from here on out you can expect only the best.

When I first received my order of 4 venus fly traps, to be given as Christmas gifts to my grandchildren, I thought that one was very close to being dead. I immediately wrote to the company asking for a new plant to be shipped via overnight express delivery at the co's cost; since Christmas eve is only a week away. To my surprise, I received an immediate and very gracious reply. They offered to replace the plant immediately, (by Christmas Eve), if in fact the one was ill. They suggested that the plant is most likely in a dormant state and that the others will follow, into this state. On looking at the plant, it appeared healthy, and had numerous "traps". But it was flat, in comparison to the other three, which are standing tall at about 3 inches. My oldest granddaughter (10 yrs. old) offered to take the dormant plant. I was very happy with the way this situation was handled and to anyone, I would definitely recommend, doing business with "My Carnivore".
On July 2, 2012, I ordered a "lair" from mycarnivore. My grandson received his "pets" and was positively thrilled. The quality of the merchandise was excellent and I would certainly recommend this company. Some of the comments that I read stated that they were difficult to reach by phone; that is true, but they did respond promptly by email.
Ordered 3 plants and a terrarium. The terrarium was damaged during shipment. The plants were healthy and are doing well. When I sent an email, I got a quick response, and a replacement was received sooner then expected. This company has great customer service. I have recommended it to friends for their kids.

When I ordered my daughter's "pets", I was afraid they wouldn't arrive in time for Christmas. I emailed to ask, got an immediate response that it would indeed arrive in time for Christmas (within 5 business days) and it sure did. It also arrived well packed and in good condition. My daughter is happy and that's saying a lot for a 15 yr old.
BUYER BEWARE! My mother ordered a Venus flytrap from this company for my daughter's birthday. The plant arrived uprooted with dirt everywhere and was unable to be revived. I contacted the company several times using the phone number on our packing slip with no response. I then emailed and finally got a response, apologizing for the state of the plant and offering to replace it. My daughter's birthday is August 28th. As of today, October 19th, there has been no replacement plant received. I contacted the company again at the end of September and after I confirmed by shipping information, the rest of my emails went ignored until I filed a complaint with the BBB. We asked that my mother's money be refunded, but Brad said that if he refunded the money of everyone whose plant arrived like ours, they'd go out of business. He has promised a new plant within 5-10 days, but I am not holding my breath. Obviously Brad hasn't figured out that if he has that many plants arriving to customers unusable, he seriously needs to rethink his packaging procedures and his shipping provider. We will NEVER shop with this company again and advise everyone else to avoid them, too.
Do not order from this company . Once they take your money they don't care about anything else .. No one answers the phone . They break kids hearts and should be ashamed of them selves .. And this Brad Langh is horrible to deal with . Not sipathetic to the situation at all .. Terrible buisness manners ... DO NOT ORDER !!! SCAM !! SCAM !!
Of course I place my order with My Carnivore at the beginning part of the busy season! I had a sort of specific shipping requirement and was nervous when I didn't get an instantaneous response from my email to them. Once Brad got to my email and recognized my discomfort, he took care of things in a very business like manner and smoothed it over more than well AND my shipping needs were met! I can honestly say I will look no further for my carnivorous plant needs! Thanks Brad!
I recently purchased a 'Carnivore Lair' from My Carnivore. I was very pleased that it arrived on time and that the service was great! The plants were also exceptional. The terrarium is very helpful for keeping the plants humid and protecting them from household pets such as cats. Like I said before I am very pleased with my purchace and I will definatly be purchacing more products from My Carnivore in the future.
I ordered two venus fly traps from two different companies, MyCarnivore.com and another one.
The MyCarnivore.com plant was MUCH healthier and everyone at my office loves Seymore and his little cage. In addition, I also ordered a sundew and a nepenthes and they are gorgeous. Customer service was excellent. My sundew is still maturing and does not have all of its tentacles yet but Brad contacted me and told me that if the plant does not have its tentacles soon, he will replace the plant.
What a wonderful product. I recieved the Seymore fly trap kit. My plant arrived full of life and vitality. The terrarium is of quality product. Highly recommended. And my Vinny is waiting on me to bring home a brother or sister carnivore :)

Shipping was fast. Product did get messed up a little. But, I called and mycarnivore answered quickly and is sending a replacement right away. Thanks!

I received extremely responsive and great customer service from My Carnivore - even though I made an error in the shipping address when ordering, the company graciously reshipped at no additional cost.
Thanks Brad - your willingness to go the extra mile is greatly appreciated and I look forward to the opportunity to do business with My Carnivore again in the future.
Ordering from "My Carnivore" and doing business with them was one of the best experiences I've had ordering on-line ever!!! About 4 months before my daughter's birthday, she told me she wanted a venus flytrap. Being a mom, I stored that info in the back of my mind and started searching for sites. A week before my child's birthday, she had a cousin take her all over a nearby city searching for, of all things, a flytrap. Of course, I cringed when I found out because I had already ordered her "gift" ... imagine what relief I felt when they returned home and had not been able to find a plant all over town.
When puchasing the plant, I decided to order the whole kit: the plant with a terrarium, and all the 'fixings'. When we opened the box, all was there. However, the plastic terrarium had a crack down the side. All I had to do was email the company and had a replacement within a week at most.
The biggest thing is that this company followed-up with me to make sure all went well. I had encountered some problems with "Venus" and tried to do something about it ... unfortunately it was too late. There is going to be a replacement plant in the mail for us soon. Who could ask for anymore? This has been a great experience and I'd refer "My Carnivore" to anybody :o)
IT has been 3 weeks! I ordered 2 plants the same day. one from China one from Santa Barbara CA, I received the one from China....Still waiting on my kids plants. After reading other negative posts i think i have been scammed.

Your order has been printed in our packaging warehouse. Your plants are being hand-picked from our greenhouse and custom packaged for your order. A printed order will typically ship within a day or two. Note: Due to extreme weather conditions, orders to cold regions are being delayed until the weather stays above freezing for a couple of days in a row. We do not want your plants to arrive dead due to freezing weather.
April 26th I placed an order fo a Seymoye the Venus Fly Trap with terrarium (Today is May 7th and it has still not shipped). A few days later my order status had been changed to state the greenhouse was packaging my order and it should ship in 2-3 days. On May 3rd my status had not changed, I sent an email explaing this was a birthday present for my 12 year old son who's party is on May 15th, and asking for an expected ship date. I got no responce so on May 4th I called and recieved no responce, so I sent another email and waited....on may 6th I began to call at all different times of the day with no ansewer ever. This company is in Santa Barbara CA and I am Near Portland OR so we are in the same time zone and our last freeze was near April 3rd. I continued to call at random times as well as the normal business hours and no one ever picks up the phone...Now they have my money my card was debited on april 26th and in this economy I can't just go out and buy my son another gift. I was also so happy I was going to be able to get him one because he really wanted it and for once I could actually afford what he wanted for his birthday. In the end MyCarnivore.com is only hurting my son!!!!
