Company Comment, posted on December 3, 2010:
Touchwood trades worldwide with seeds, specializing in Aquilegia (granny's bonnets/columbines). Plants sold locally, and posted to UK addresses. Garden open to view 2 National Plant Collections: Aquilegia vulgaris cultivars and Aquilegia double hybrids (these are mainly doubles with yellow in them).
Carrie, the Columbine Queen, is also keen to swap (trade) seed if you have unusual aquilegia cultivars or species that she hasn't got (or can't easily grow in her conditions)

I have just completed a most enjoyable back-and-forth email conversation and seed buying transaction with Carrie. Her Aquilegia list is absolutely wonderful - what a great source for some very unusual variations of the "old faithful" Granny's Bonnets!

Seed came quickly - 5 days from the UK to BC, Canada. Quantities were generous, nicely packaged & labelled. I look forward to seeing these in bloom in 2012.

I would recommend checking out this company to all people interested in out-of-the-ordinary perennials. Not only columbines but a short but fascinating list of other noteworthy seed-grown plants as well.

Both the seeds and plants provided by this company are healthy and grow well - both the aquilegias and other perennials. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. The service provided is first class and in spite of the amount of work involved, the owner is always happy to respond to any queries you may have.
