We ordered five broms (neoregeliae) from the vendor's website directly rather than his ebay store, and just over two weeks later we received five. Four where as we ordered, and the fifth one was a substitute. We don't know if it's a less or more valuable item, it's just not as interesting to us as that which we ordered. There was no note in the package, no message from the vendor; the substitution was verified in response to our asking if that was the case. The plants were all healthy and had been very nicely packed for the short trip; all were clearly labeled. I thought that the prices and shipping costs were fair. We also bought five similar plants on the same day from another vendor, that one on ebay and a well-established vendor, for similar prices and lesser shipping costs; and we received those within three days. The plants, prices, and packing were similar, but the service, shipping time, and communication aren't comparable between the two; and I'm not inclined to buy from this vendor again.

I should have also included that Alex, at BnS offered to refund the cost of the undelivered plant when he told us that he'd made the substitute; but we've opted to keep the substitute, so we won't ask for a refund. |
