The scoop on 'Jacques Amand (US & UK)'

I've hummed and hahhed over whether to make an order with Jaques Amand for several years. I wasn't overly keen on the packaging and state of the plants when they arrived. One Pleione had already flowered and was not the cultivar I ordered, other plants arrived squashed and some had mould on the bulbs, several had put out leaves and were going brown and crispy by the time they reached here.

Their customer service were pleasant but I simply didn't have the heart to send back the Pleione who would have probably been just thrown away, nor the others. I managed to coax them all into growth eventually but it's taken a lot of needless time.

For the money it cost I had expected much better.

This company also exists in the UK; they list a wide selection of bulbs, with some rarities.
