I ordered some tulips last fall. All performed well, but I had planned for graduating heights and I think some of the heights listed were a bit off the mark. I ended up with a shorter row of tulips in the back. Also, the pink I ordered that looked like a medium pink in the photos ended up looking rather dark, almost red.

I don't want to sound too critical, though. Customer service was excellent, and the bulbs were all healthy and bloomed well. Just a few surprises in size and color. :)

We appreciate these comments which illustrate a difficulty we have coming up with one exact height for the different climate zones in the United States. Experience shows that spring flowerbulbs perform differently in various locations due to differences in sun, soil, temperature and humidity. We take this criticism seriously as we spend a lot of time and effort to correctly represent the colors and heights of the bulbs that we include in our catalog.
It is often difficult to pick a single image to represent the entire bloom cycle of a flower. Our policy is to try to grow, view and photograph every bulb that we sell during the spring. Sometimes nature and the photomechanical printing process seem to conspire against our better efforts. "
