I placed my daylily order by phone with Ron on 4-15. We discussed that I would like the plants shipped the week of 4-26 and that I would like a white bonus plant. Received a box of fantastic looking plants on 4-30. All 2-4 large fans with a HUGE 4 fan bonus of a beautiful white daylily. Would highly recommend Ron and Homestead Farms. Prices were also great.

This is the second year I have purchased daylilies from Homestead Farms. The first time I ordered ahead for pickup at the farm. This year I ordered for delivery. Both times I received large healthy plants with large root structures; at least two large fans, sometimes more.
My pickup order was ready when I arrived and my delivery order was well-packed and delivered exactly as scheduled.
Great quality plants, good service and reasonable prices! The web site makes it easy to plan an order. They also have a catalog.
I strongly recommend them as a daylily source!
My husband and I made a special trip to the nursery site in Owensville a couple of years ago and were surprised and very pleased with the operation. They dug our daylillies right as we made our selections as well as answered all our questions about the farm. The plants are every bit as healthy and beautiful as they appear on their website. Ours grew very well.
Since we have just moved, I am looking forward to ordering from them by mail. Especially now that I also have more room for hostas and peonies! I was impressed with the health and vigor of their plants.
Ordered a few peony plants very late in the season, so they were out of some of the varieties. They called to make sure the substitutions would be OK, and the plants I received were all very big (several eyed divisions, not scrawny at all--some had 10+ eyes) and healthy looking. No leftovers here. Will be ordering from them again next year!

I ordered nine hosta spring 2003 that were delivered timely and in excellent condition - they were bare root and didn't even show signs of wilting. All the plants were huge - larger than anything I have received from other outstanding hosta growers.
After a day in the ground they were all standing tall, except for Sum & Substance because the leaves and stems were so big. The Bressingham Blue arrived with a scape and began to bloom five days after planting. How much healthier can a bare root plant come!?
I ordered nine daylilies from Homestead Farm Nurseries. I was late ordering and so received them the week after Memorial Day. I received large, healthy plants. The plants are thriving and half are already setting buds. Only one plant was two fans - all the rest were three to five fans. The bonus plant was five fans of Untamed Glory, and I was able to discuss what I would like to have with Ron when I ordered. Imy was also very helpful when I called to check on when the order would ship. It was a pleasure doing business with this company. I also found there web site well-organized and I enjoyed browsing through the inventory.

I've ordered daylilies from Homestead for two years now. They send large , beautiful plants. My plants are thriving. Their service is excellent and Ron is very helpful. I would recommend them as a great source for daylilies. I plan to do business with them again.
Last fall I ordered 5 peonies from them, as well as about a dozen from other companies. Their service was extremely friendly and very responsive (even though I had to leave phone messages and rely on their calling back). The roots they promptly sent were beautiful and far superior in size to those of the 4-5 other companies I ordered from and their prices are terrific. Their selection is somewhat limited, so if you're a collector you need to look elsewhere as well, but they do carry a nice basic choice.
We ordered three times from this company in 2002. We were pleased with the quality of the plants in all instances. The divisions were large and many put up scapes and bloomed within a few weeks of being planted. Although they were out of a few plants and selected from our list of alternatives, in general, they filled the order from the list of 'first choices'. We plan to order from them again in 2003--I'm just having a hard time keeping the size of the order within reason.

I bought daylilies, based on a recommendation at the Daylily Forum.
I liked the Web site right away, for me it was a nice layout with lots of photos and good informaion on the plants. I took a few days to look over the offerings and was pleased to find many of them in my price range of $4.00 or $5.00. I decided on my order and called the place up. They were friendly and helpful and cheeful. They told me when to expect the plants (ship on Mondays) and the plants arrived exactly when I expected.
But the best part was the size of the fans and the roots, big healthy double fans, some with a third fan halfway grown. Another wonderful part was the roots, the roots are huge and healthy and firm, and I know the plants will hit the garden running.
Finally, there were very nice bonus plants, some out of my price range. Homestead sent a triple fan of Bold Red Eyes, I've seen it at $20.00 per double fan, so extapolation suggests the bonus was a $30.00 plant.
I had good luck at this place. I've ordered from others and have had acceptable results, but this is A+ and those places were B.
I've bought hosta seeds several times from Homestead. They have always come quickly and the order was always complete. The seeds have done wll, too. Big selection!
I buy all my daylillies from Homestead Nurseries. I havent lost one plant. The plants are healthy,three to five good fans. Price very reasonable. service is
good and Ron can answer anything I want to know about daylillies.
