After reading about holt geraniums in an issue of Victoria magazine, I was smitten. The flowerd looked amazing, and for once I was pleased that the source was within b.c. and would be easy for me to deal with (no cites or phyto certificates...) I sent my payment in Feb, and by the end of may still had not received any word. I emailed, and ms. Holt assured me my order was to be processed that week. I replied with thanks, saying I was looking forward to receiving it as our growing season in Dawson Creek is so short. I have sent 2 further emails when my shipment did NOt arrive within a timely fashion, and have not had a reply since from Ms. Holt. I have since emailed requesting a full refund ($70) and have neither received a refund nor a response. It is my intent to report this business to the better business bureau, and plan a visit to the nursery when I am down south later this summer. To that end, if anyone could provide an actual address, I would be greatful.

On March 1st of 2004, I placed an order for 8 Askham Fringed Aztec Regals. My check was cashed on March 10. In April I asked for a status on the order just to make sure the order was received. Your response was that they would be shipped by the first week in May.
On June 1st I again e-mailed you asking when my order would be shipped. Received a 'generic' e-mail (your term) outlining a horrendous set of circumstances that had caused you delays and promising delivery by the end of June. You also offered a refund. I was so concerned for you I was ready to jump on a plane and come and help. Maybe I should have. Instead I waited some more.
On October 14th I gave up hope and requested an immediate refund. You immediately replied that you could either ship the order on Monday or give me a refund. So why couldn't you have shipped sooner? Since my window boxes were by now full of flourishing plants, I asked again for the refund. You replied the same day that you would not only send me a refund but, to show good faith would send me the plants too. Sounded great.
On November 9 I sent you another e-mail demanding payment. To date I have received neither a response to my e-mail or a check.
I have become convinced that I have somehow become the victim of a scam. No reputable business would treat customers this way and expect to stay in business. I checked out Holt Geraniums pretty thoroughly before placing my order and never expected this.
After eight and one half months, what is it going to take to get you to give me my money back??!!
I placed an order for over $425 and sended a bank check that was cashed on January. After several messages (mail, letters) without getting any answer for months, I finally got the cuttings on Sept. I didnīt got all what I ordered and payed for and not refund has yet arrived to me. Many of the cuttings were unrooted; same of them were minimal. They were bad packaged, several were a brunish mass and few others had black stems when they arrived to me (may they have frozen under the transportation??).
Today there arnīt many of those cuttings alive... (impossible to bring live to the death).
Iīve since then tried to contact Holt. Iīve sended them two mail messeges and two letters but Iīve not yet got any answer. (14 November).
I placed an order for $192 with Holt Geraniums, which was mailed April 28. The check cleared my bank on May 20. I have contacted Holt Geraniums by e-mail and Global Priority mail, requesting either a ship date or a refund. There has been no response. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for British Columbia: http://www.bbbvan.org

I received part of my order on August 6th and part on October 1st, along with a refund check for about $10. There were two errors on the invoice and I contacted Ms. Holt about them. She agreed that she owed me an additional $34.58 and said she would put it in the mail on October 19. I waited till November 18 and, when the check still hadn't arrived, e-mailed her again to express my concern. There was no reply to my e-mail. Fortunately, a check did arrive today - nearly two months after it was promised.
I'm sorry that this transaction has been such a poor experience. Ms. Holt has an unparalleled selection and the plants were, for the most part, of good quality. I also understand that small businesses can run into production issues and I was more than willing to deal with those issues. However, Ms. Holt's unwillingness to answer e-mails or any other form of communication and her lack of sense of responsibility for any problems that arose in 2004 have left me unwilling to do business with her again.
I sent an $85.00 check to Holt Geranium arond the middle of April. My check was cashed on May 6. I've phoned and e-mailed several times. At one point about 3 weeks ago I spoke directly with someone who said she would mail my plants the following week and that it would take 2 days to receive my geraniums. Today is July 10th and I still do not have my order or any response to my e-mails or expensive phone calls. I have requested a refund if my order does not come very soon.

I placed a $105.26 order for plants at the end of March and the check was cashed at the beginning of April but I still haven't received my plants. I have been e-mailing and phoning them, leaving messages on their answering machine, for three weeks now and have gotten no response. Buyer beware!!!
ON Februany 18th 2004 I mailed an order along with a bank money order for 280.00 for geraniums. on March 4 I sent an email asking if my order had been recieved. two days later I recieved answer that it had indeed been recieved and my plants would be sent in about 6 weeks.
The end of may I sent another email asking for my plants or a refund. I have sent several emails since and have not heard anything from them since
I ordered 14 geraniums plants from Holts in January, paid by credit card, as of 5/7/03 despite repeated emails about my order, I received 1 email asking for my name but no response of what happened to my order as of yet.
