My first time ordering from them, but it won't be my last. Ordered 24 Hostas of assorted varieties. All came in very good shape, packed well. Some are just starting to peak out, others were nearly half way grown. Also ordered 4 types of grasses and they look great. Wonderful selection and very good prices.
What a great company. When I order hostas from now on, this company and one other are the only ones I will turn to.
And why do I have to turn to that other company.... Well sometimes, Hallson doesn't always have that specific hosta or plant I'm looking for. But what they have is TOP NOTCH!!!

This was my first time ordering from them. I emailed Chris a couple of times and he always responded very quickly. The plants I received were great as well. I would order again from them.
I have ordered from Hallson's twice now and the plants and service are wonderful, plus if you order early (January) there is an added discount. Chris is a great guy to deal with and he included a bonus hosta with my order.
Last week I received my order - hosta, dicentra, astilbe. Packaging was great, good prices for such big healthy roots. The astilbes went crazy and are already blooming. Plus, they sent a "Big Daddy" hosta as a bonus. Luckily I had some extra room. I was delighted with my plants and will definitely order again.
I was extremely pleased with my first order from Hallson Gardens. The pulmonaria plants I ordered arrived at a perfect planting time, very healthy and wonderfully well packed. After planting them in the garden, I was quite impressed to find that they had already begun to grow after only a few days in the ground! I am looking forward to ordering more plants from this nursery in the future.

Chris and Brian are among the most knowledgeable people I've come across, and they're always willing to share what they know. Their merchandise is wonderful, and they stand behind it 100%. They also maintain a great Garden Forum, where gardeners can request and share information, and Chris keeps a close eye on it, to see that it remains a positive experience for everyone. I vote for Hallson's!

The plants I purchased from Hallson Gardens, including hosta, heuchera and pulmonaria, are by far the nicest plants I have ever received via mail order. The heuchera I recently received were large, healthy, beautiful plants that barely noticed they were transplanted. Most appreciated, however, is the personal service given by the owner. He is genuinely concerned about the quality of his plants. They are guaranteed and he happily replaces any thing that does not perform well. I will continue to do business with Hallson Gardens!
I'm just thrilled with my hosta from Hallson's! The service is friendly, professional, and personal, and the prices are very reasonable. And the plants are superb - big and healthy with fat, full, beautiful roots!
This was my first year to order from Hallson Gardens. Most of the hostas I ordered were relatively new introductions so they were small. However, they were quite healthy, had excellent root systems and have quadrupled in size since I've had them. Chris (owner/manager) is wonderful to deal with! I will be ordering from Hallson in the future!
This nursery deserves a better than Postive rating! Wonderful large healthy plants, true to name, with massive root systems. Extremely knowledgeable owners who are always willing to help and advise in a timely manner. Customer service absolutely excellent. Always willing to go the extra 10 miles to make sure their customers are absolutely delighted...no matter what it takes! This is always the first place I send people to. They truly go above and beyond what is expected.
Have recieved 2 online orders from Hallsons. Both have been hosta orders...large eyes, healthy roots, nice plants that perk up quickly when planted. You can tell they have been well cared for. Have had questions for the owners as well...questions have been answered quickly and solutions offered if needed. Have recommended this nursery to several friends--because of their great service and wide variety of plants.
Most excellent Nursery. I've received plants for the first time from Hallsons this year and Customer Service and Plant quality were beyond great. Will order from again.
I have ordered from Hallson's four times this season. They consistently send me quality plants of excellent size for mail order. I've never had a problem with them or their plants. Excellent customer service! Their Hosta selection is outstanding. It is a pleasure doing business with them. I'll order from them every season.
