I ordered daylilies, lilium bulbs & hosta from Hallson Gardens. I was amazed at the size of the roots. Daylily fans are very nice size divisions. Customer service can't be beat either.

Just to update, All plants are thriving. Hostas are leafed out and gorgeous, Echinacea is growing, it was sent bare root and has almost caught up up with other from somwhere else that had leaves already! Daylilies are growing by leaps and bounds.
If they have what I want this is where I am going to buy it from now on. I have learned it doesn't hurt to inquire about something if it is not on their list.

The owner advised me that those three typically appear later than others, and assured me that if for any reason they did not grow, they would be replaced without charge. Sure enough, the three grew as promised later in the spring. The fact that the company stood behind its product so well speaks volumes to the integrity of this outfit.

Probably the best deal around in terms of quality/price. I've ordered daylilies and hosta in summer 2006, and was extremely pleased with plants, big and healthy. Got a bonus daylily, HUGE. They all bloomed first year planted late July! I've ordered more plants in fall, including astilbes, lilies and some others. Also got perfect plants plus extra astilbe and bonus lily bulbs. Lily bulbs were larger than I bought from big bulb company and cost only about 1/3-1/2 price (and they had live roots still attached). They have good selection of lilies, daylilies and shade perennials, and LOTS of hostas. I only wish I had a bigger yard. Thank you!

Hallson made such an impression on me that for a moment there was a glimmer of hope of seeing this echanted garden that I grew up playing in a reality just with a small box of plants. I have visted Hallson Gardens several times and each trip is great. Chris is very friendly and helpful. Often times he will take you down to the growing beds (a wooded hillside) and dig your hosta as you watch.

Received my 2nd order just a few days ago. Ordered two more hosta and received a bonus hosta. Chris apologized for the size of my 'Stained Glass' and gave me 30% off of that particular plant! Personally, I found it was just as healthy as the others I've rec'd, just a tad smaller. Opening a package of Hallson's large hosta kind of reminds me of opening one of those folding umbrellas, the plant just gets bigger and bigger as you unwrap the packaging (they DON'T fold their hostas)! I LOVE this place. Wish I had more space to plant (and unlimited funds, too). I'd send all my business to Hallson's.

I ordered lilies from this company. I was very please with all the lilies I received. They all grew and bloomed prolifically. I only had one that was not true to what I had bought, which was the lily "Stones". It's supposed to be totally red, and the bulbs I got must have gotten mixed up because they all were orange. When I e-mailed the company, they were quick to reply and say that they would replace the bulbs at no charge to me. I haven't received them as of yet, but most companies are just now beginnig to ship their lilies.
