On November 10, 2009, I ordered three strawberry begonia plants from Accents for Home and Garden at a very good price (less than half that which was charged by some other companies). Six days later the plants arrived at my home--lush, green, and healthy. No hassle, no problems, great plants.
The plants I ordered arrived in decent condition and size. Compared to the price of other vendor's, I was very happy to get them. Well packaged. Nice selection of plants I can't find locally but really enjoy :).
I ordered 9 plants last week and they arrived today in amazing condition. Considering they had to fly all the way across the country, I think this is amazing (and worth the shipping cost)! One plant I ordered they were out of, and my money was quickly refunded. They also told me when they expect the plant to be back in stock again. Considering how many amazing houseplants they have, I plan to order from them again in the future.
Three months ago, in the spring, I placed an order for a few small advertised Cleyera plants from Pepper's. I sent in my check, and noticed it cleared a few weeks later on my bank statement. Anxious to receive my plants, I emailed Pepper's, inquiring when I could expect my plants. I received a response the next day. They informed me that these plants would not survive in my climate, and promptly asked if I wanted a refund. I then said in another email, that I had a greenhouse for the plants, and was still interested. They then informed me that their Cleyera plants were too small, and were waiting for them to get bigger.
About a week ago, I sent another email, again inquiring when I would receive my plants. I have yet to hear a response. If they were closed, or left on vacation, it would seem like an electronic response of some sort would inform me as to what the deal is. I'm disappointed, and would accept a refund now. If you advertise a product, it should be sold to whomever wishes to purchase it.

Yesterday, I received my beautiful Cleyera plants. They were packed well, and received in excellent condition. I previously gave a negative rating because, after an earlier response from Pepper's, I thought they didn't want my business, and after about a four month wait for my plants, it appeared my hunch was correct. However, after posting my dilemma, Pepper's contacted me within one day, and cited being on vacation as reason for the delay in getting back with me, after I recently "re-queried" as to when my plants would ship.
All in all, there was probably just poor communication between us.

My plants arrived in a small priority mail box, one was crunched and I was very worried. I planted all of them, and now, three months later, every single one of them is flourishing and huge and beautiful. I am so delighted with this nursery -- I can't wait to order again. Thank you for having such interesting and hardy plants.
I am so pleased with Peppers Greenhouse. I ordered, sent a check and before long two beautiful walking iris plants arrived. I will not hesitate to order again. Thanks
I had placed a small order of 3 plants. Two tropical hibiscus(Orange and Red hot) and a Crossandra (Firecracker) plant. I was pretty impressed with their prices. I have not seen any one selling Tropical hibiscus for $4.95. Looking at the prices I was a bit worried about the size of the plants. My order arrived yesterday and all the three plants were individually packed nicely. I'm happy with the size of the plants as well. Hopefully they all will do well for the rest of the season and years to come. Overall it has been a great experience working with Pepper greenhouse and would not hesitate to order again.

The Crossandra I had ordered started blooming. It turns out the flowers are yellow. I had actually ordered the orange version. Least I would expect is they deliver the right plant.
I waited for 2 months to see the bloom and its giving out different color ? Not happy at all..
Now I have two hibiscus plants which still havent started blooming.
Hope the color of their blooms matches with what I ordered. On August 11th, 2009, atprocks changed the rating from negative to neutral and added the following:
I received a mail from Pepper's greenhouse saying they would send me the orange Crossandra's . I'll touch base with them. For now I'll change the rating to neutral. Based on how the rest of the experience goes I'll change my rating again later.
Thanks,

Even before I could contact Pepper's greenhouse, they sent me a new Crossandra plant. Hopefully Orange flowering one. Im truly impressed. Going forward, I'll contact them before expressing my concerns/issues on DG. Appreciate the quick response
I ordered online Wed. morning, plants were delivered Friday afternoon. Plants arrived in perfect condition. I am very happy with the size, quality, and appearance of the plants I ordered, as well as the packaging. I will continue to order from them in the future.

I will order again.

Rude, poor customer service and 10 pitiful excuses of plants I received. I am going to contest the charge with paypal, screw their no return policy. I paid over $6 a piece for seedlings that couldnt possibly bloom for at least 2 or 3 seasons. This same plant (Golden Shrimp), I can get full-sized, WITH BLOOMS, from the local Calloways for 8.99, but they were not in yet, so I figured I would try Peppers. Folks, please do not order from these people, they are rude, and their product is inferior.

Fred has agreed to refund my money for the plants. The customer service was very good and I retract my previous comments. I admit I am new to mail-order plants and was not fully aware of what to expect as far as plant size.

I ordered pelargoniums from three growers on the same day, with the intention of seeing which one provided the best plants, prices, shipping and service. To my pleasure, all three delivered healthy plants. The plants from Accent/Peppers were midsize of the three growers (one grower sent larger plants and one sent smaller) and their price was slightly higher. Their shipping was about the same amount as the other two. Their packaging was careful and the plants were in fine condition. I'm sure they will perform beautifully. I was a bit disappointed that one of the plants in my order was out of stock. I was not notified of this prior to shipping; there was just a small handwritten note inside the box that said, "Staghorn oak n/a - Refund to PayPal." When I checked my PayPal account, there was no refund posted, so I emailed and asked about it. They responded by processing the refund the same day. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase and I will consider Accent/Peppers for future purchases.

I ordered 4 Rue plants about and month or so ago, received them last week, just the right time since the ground is now workable. The plants were packaged very well, no dirt all over the place, they are a nice size, green and the soil was still wet. I am please with this company, easy ordering, and timely delivery.

I bought 6 Begonias and they are doing so well. They came packed with a heat pack in the dead of winter, didn't even lose a leaf. I normally would have killed begonias by now but I believe they are hardier and healthier coming from the north. I'm so happy with the plants and the company that I check their website first when wanting to order something.

Before I ordered, I emailed some questions and all were answered promptly and completely. I ended up ordering four, different peperomias. They were out of one, and immediately issued a refund to my account. The other three arrived quickly and were packaged perfectly.
I am surprised by how big and healthy the plants are. They have many plants that are on my wish list, so I will certainly be back for future purchases.

I have been searching for a Tolmiea or 'Piggyback' plant for quite awhile. My local florist/nursery couldn't aquire one for me, for some reason. After reading the reviews, I decided to check out their available items. Turns out I ended up with 5 different plants! I placed my order 9/30, and rec'd it on 10/4. All plants were packaged carefully, no damage, great condition! Will keep this seller on my lists for future orders!

purchased salvia sage purple majesty (6 plants). Purchased online on Sunday and by Thursday they were delivered!!!
Packed well, very healthy, and I am very pleased with
the price. I highly recommend this company.
My order arrived after having received both a confirmation and shipping/tracking e-mail, and in only two days. The plants were as I expected and in perfect green health. I would definitely order from them again.

Sure fast shipping! I sent emails, because this was my first mail order purchase...and, they were answered, in one to two word answers.....but, they were answered none the less.
My plants were in great shape when they arrived....and the prices can't be beat!!
Will be ordering from them again, until I have a reason to not order from them.
Excellent shopping experience! I've been looking for a String of Beads plant for months and finally found one here. They shipped it quickly and well packaged. I also ordered a Chenille Plant and a Ficus pumila Quercifolia (Oak leaved fig). All plants are healthy and ready to go. Thanks so much!

I just got an order from this company. I would not have ordered from them if I had looked here first, so I was pleasantly surprised when my plants arrived alive. They are small but seem to be healthy. They were mailed out on a Friday which surprised me because most places wait until Monday so they won't be left in a warehouse over the weekend. They were pretty dry but not wilted. The shipping was kind of pricey but not outrageous. I will order from them again. They have lots of unusual plants and the prices are good.
I too was hesitant on ordering because of the negative reports on this company but did order Spigelia Marlandica (Indian Pink) and received 8 very nice, healthy, and well developed plants. Each plant's pot was wrapped to prevent dehydration, were well packed, and shipped USPS - Priority. Until given good reason not to, I will order from this company again, without qualm.
i got the plants, ceropegii woodi variegated, rather rare....i did get a tracking number and was able to get them in time for them to be watered ..... as a result of them sending me the tracking number,,,,,,as they were very dry and soil had come out ,, so kudos to them for this. at one point i thought the transaction could have gone very bad, but they came through and made it a great transaction!!!
thanks fred and nice supple plants from peper's green house, i would do business with them again.
reasonable shipping to alaska, reasonable prices for plants, as well
I was a little hesitant to purchase from this vendor based on some of the negative reviews, but they had good prices on a couple of things I wanted, so I placed a small order to give them a try. I ordered two begonia plants.
I promptly received an email receipt, and later received a status, and then a shipping notice. Plants arrived promptly and very well packaged. They appear quite healthy and in good shape. Being begonias (and I'm a newbie at them), if they don't make it, I expect it will be because of me and not them.
Based on this experience, I would certainly try them again next time they have something I am interested in.

Wow! What a delight to open the package and find all of the plants doing well! All 5 plants were in beautiful shape. I was really afraid that our weather would do the plants in before they even got to the house. We are currently sitting under an Arctic cold front and the max temperature is 43 and the minimum was in the low 20's.
The plants were wrapped exceptionally well. There were no broken leaves and no bud drop. The flowers were all open with a couple of petals creased. Considering the plants went from Delaware to Idaho over the weekend I could not ask any supplier to do a better job!
Three cheers to Accents and the Postal Service for bringing the plants straight through with no delays!
Received my order, a very hard to find item, in not only top quality condition, brimming with good health, but in a very timely manner. Packing very professional with health of plant in transit obviously a foremost concern. I am very pleased with this company and they will receive the lion's share of my mail order business after this experience.
