I just received my second order from Yucca Do nursery. (I ordered from them last fall as well.) I am so pleased with the plants they sent me. All are very healthy looking and were packed with obvious care.

I was also pleased that Yucca Do responded quickly to my initial email with questions I had regarding their plants. In the past, I've emailed other mail-order nurseries and didn't receive responses even after sending 2 or 3 emails.

I would/will order from them again.

I placed my first order with Yucca Do just a few months ago, and was very pleased with the plants, the condition on arrival, and the prices. The Dyckia rarifolia I ordered had multiple offshoots (many plants for the price of just one), and they even included a free "bonus" rain lily (about two dozen bulbs after I counted them all)in addition to the two other species I had ordered.

Each plant was carefully wrapped, and though bareroot, they were all healthy and fresh. Instructions for their care on arrival were also included. All are doing just fine. Not only do I intend to order again soon, but I don't miss an opportunity to direct other gardeners to their very informative and terrific Website. Two green thumbs up to Yucca Do.

Awesome selection of plants for the southern tier States with an emphasis on "woody lilies" (Agaves, Dasylirions, etc.), and subtropical bulbs (Zephyrathes, Hymenocallis, etc.). Plants I've received have always been a nice size and well-packed. They also have a very nice website.

I've ordered from them several times during the last 2 years and have been satisfied. They often have some Mexican oddities that are not available elsewhere.

Another company that has available woody plants and perennials that cannot be found anywhere else on the web or through mail order catalogs. Plants were nice sized, healthy, reasonably priced, and well packed. Another highly recommended mail order source for hard to find and unusual plants.

I live in Houston so Hempstead is only a one hour drive North for me. I decided to visit in July on the weekend they were open and I was not at all dissappointed. I can't testify to how they are for shipping but at their nursery I found the entire staff very friendly and knowledgeable and still trying to help all their customers out at the end of what looked like a very long day for all of them.
The place was packed at 3pm in the afternoon and late July in South Texas is already one of the most humid and hot places in the country. I wasn't going to buy much since it was late July and my chances of good success were low, I was mainly going to plan for the fall garden and check out stuff for next Spring. They assured me that if I put the plants under shade for the first two weeks and watered at least once a day they would do fine. I ended up spending $130 and really got a bunch of plants for the money, not really outrageous for the very strong and healthy looking plants I picked out.
Not only has everything survived but the flowerbed I used all these plants in is my pride and joy right now. I am already planning to redo my main front bed since almost everything in it came with the house. Most of the plants will be ordered from Yucca Do. If you can get there I really recomend the drive and if you can't their web site is very informative.

If your looking for agaves, this is the place. They have an extensive selection including unusual palms and cycads. They seem to try to offer the most cold hardy plants. I've ordered from them once and will be a repeat customer!

I ordered several plants, which arrived green and healthy. I have also called several times and found friendly, courteous, helpful people. Both their website and their catalogue are nicely done. I will definitely be ordering from these folks again.
