I received two mangosteen trees yesterday from Montoso Gardens and was immediately impressed by how securely and carefully they were packaged. The trees were in great shape (no leaf droop or mold) despite being delayed a few days over the holiday weekend. I must also add that I have never received personalized emails from any other mail order company that I have dealt with before (and I've dealt with most of the biggies). That was a little surprising, but very much appreciated. They've definitely got themselves another loyal customer.

It's true, Montoso Gardens rocks.....and Bryan is the king! Great products, super prices, incredible communication, and speedy delivery. I'd say online shopping can't get any better than this. Thank you again Bryan!
Aloha, Bryan and Montoso gardens were great people to deal with. Excellent contact and information and great seeds. I will gladly return to this company for more plants and information. Highly recommend. aloha, Misha

I found Montoso gardens on here (Dave's garden watchdog), and noticed their good feedback, so I contacted Bryan and placed an order for a dozen Heliconias, and several other Gingers and Calatheas. Bryan was great, he answered every email and question promptly, was very polite and professional. The plants arrived very well packaged and healthy. His prices are great, very good selection, and the rhizomes he sent were bigger than anyone else I had ordered from before. I can't wait to place my next order, highly recommended.

Looked at Montoso Gardens website and was enthralled with the beautiful photos.
Wrote to Montoso Gardens, and Bryan answered each email very promptly.
I placed an order for 3 heliconias, and my order was acknowledged rapidly, and I received another email from Bryan about a week later, when my rhizomes were shipped.
Amazingly, they arrived the NEXT DAY, fresh, green and ready to plant. They are in pots now, and I am eager to see them flourish. I look forward to ordering again from Montoso Gardens!!
Excellent service and care.

I found Montoso Gardens on the web. The communication with Bryan Brunner
is very easy. The transaction was ultra smooth. Les plantes sont très bien emballées, et ont très bien traversé l'océan atlantique vers la France. A very good nursery!
From my first e-mail to Bryan until now my experience has been a complete pleasure. He answered all my questions promptly, was never impatient with my worries and when I finally ordered the plants they arrived when he said they would and they were in perfect health. I would encourage everyone to order something from him just to see the wonderful job he does of packaging the plants. Montoso Gardens is a model business run by a genius. You can spend a lot on advertising but good, old fashioned customer service will get you lots of free ones. This company is A number one on all counts. Bye for now. HWally
I ordered a Lychee tree. A Hak Ip variety. Plant came promptly and was in great condition. Two things I really like about this company:
1) They list the actual cultivar/variety of the plant/tree (I used to not care but now I'm particular about that sort of thing)
2) I find the prices very reasonable. Lychee trees are usually fairly expensive to purchase..I won't name names ;)
Definitely would order again.

Just got a mangosteen plant recently. It was small, but the root system was very healthy. Good communication and the shipping was prompt. Another good thing about Montoso is that they don't seem to post a about a plant for sale if they don't have it. I noticed they update their site to reflect this.
Bryan is A-1! I recently purchased two plants....one was damaged during shipping. I notified Bryan and he immediately responded that he would be sending another one...N/C. The replacment plant arrived today...in perfect condition. I really appreciate folks that go above and beyond what they have to do. He was great with communication. No doubt I'll be doing more business with this guy. It doesn't get any better than this! Many thanks! Joe n CO
The R9 rambutan I ordered from Montoso Gardens arrived quickly and in beautiful condition. As others have said, it was packaged so creatively that you can assure that your plant will not just survive, but thrive in transit. There was some insect damage to the leaves. I ordered a Malay apple tree from this nursery. It came in excellent condition and is growing well now. They were quick to respond to any questions i had regarding the tree. The price including shipping was a lot cheaper than any other place had it for without shipping. Montoso Gardens is a great place to buy from.
Purchasing from Montoso Garden and doing business with Bryan was wonderful. They have great costumer service and show that they genuinely care about your order. I was very pleased with my order and my experience.
I highly recommend Montosogarden - they have nice, good quality plants and excellent customer service. Bryan is wonderful! He took time to respond to every email and answer every question I had. I couldn't ask for anything better.
The fruit seeds and cocoa seed pods I had ordered arrived very fresh (all of the Artocarpus camansi and half of the Theobroma grandiflora seeds were germinating when I received them and the others are very promising too). Heliconia rhizomes are also very healthy, were packed well. They show the signs of sprouting.
I recommend this company to everyone.
As you can tell from the online store, there is a terrific selection of unusual plants at great prices. My plants arrived, carefully packed and in perfect condition, exactly when expected. I would definitely recommend ordering from Montoso Gardens and I myself will continue to do so in the future. Great work, Bryan!!
I ordered two mangosteen trees and a cupuassu from Montoso Gardens, all of which arrived quickly and in outstanding condition. They were healthy, taller than I had expected, and packed with obvious care. Bryan was also kind enough to answer all of my questions regarding the cultural requirements of my new plants (and there were a lot of them!). I plan on ordering several more trees from him in the future, and would recommend Montoso Gardens as an invaluable resource for the tropical plant enthusiast.

This nursery came highly recommended to me. I was certainly glad to have ordered from here. The transaction was flawless and the plants arrived carefully packaged and in perfect condition. Communication was great w/ Bryan and e-mails were answered promptly. Some of his selections are not available elsewhere so if you are considering ordering don't hesitate. I wasn't sure how shipping would go since the plants were coming from Puerto Rico, but I had absolutely no problems and would order again.
I ordered two rooted Vanilla cuttings and was very pleased with the cuttings. They arrived the day after they were mailed and had no shipping damage. The variegated Vanilla is especially beautiful and looks great all potted up.
I will be ordering more plants from Montoso. Thank you so much Bryan.

I have ordered from Montoso twice since last month but still amazed how nice and neat and quick that one can ship the plants; and these plants are healthy and beautiful; very pleasant to look at.
Another amazing thing that Bryan, the owner has replied and supported every questions that I had regards to my purchases; I still don't know how he can do that but he does.
I am really happy with Montoso's services. Thank you to Bryan.
How do you explain customer service this good? Bryan at Montoso Gardens is an able nurseryman who clearly and accurately described his stock, then managed to get my shipment delivered in one and a half days! The fourteen plants were securely packed and arrived in perfect health. I look forward to visiting the Gardens when I finally get around to PR.

Bryan was excellent at responding immediately to all my emails, and gave excellent cultural advice. The seeds and cocoa pod arrived in three days to the UK. The cocoa beans are already germinating. I was greatly impressed and plan further orders and maybe a trip over to Montoso gardens some day.
I recently purchased some Tahitian Gingers from Bryan and his cost was extremely reasonable. When I received the plants I was amazed at how big they were for the price and how carefully they were packaged to keep from getting damaged. I plan on recommending this site to all my friends and I will be back to buy more in the future. Thanks.
I found this site by accident. I was searching for rare fruit on ebay. Bryan is a rarity in this niche market. He brings so much to the rare fruit growing market. Knowledge, experience, integrity, this cat is a man of his word. I am extremely happy with the service provided by Bryan. Its very refreshing to see someone take such pride in his store and his plants. Every plant Ive gotten from him has arrived healthy and strong. The plants obviously came from a loving environment. I will definately recommend him to all my rare fruit amigos, and family. Keep up the great work Bryan! Your effort is definately noted, and appreciated.
I was interested in aquiring cacao plants but since I am in Chicago I was concerned about shipping in the winter. Bryan suggested that I start from seeds and I agreed. He emailed me and offered to send an entire pod from which I was able to cultivate robust seedlings and even help my daughter do a science fair demonstration on the cultivation of cacao. Bryan's interaction via email and prompt responses are really refreshing and are so welcomed in an electronic age where the typicial communication is with some machine or help desk. I look forward to more opportunities to work with Montoso gardens!
