Ordered Brugmansia's from this vendor.
Very disappointed. Plants arrived bare root, not in 1 Gal. pots as indicated on web site.
Even more disappointing, some of the plants arrived diseased and will need to be destroyed as to not spread the disease to other Brugmansias in collection.
Contacted Kathy via email explaining the situation, received a very sarcastic and unprofessional response questioning my ability to indeed recognize and identify the disease.
In trying to rectify the situation amicably, I have sent 3 emails since. Kathy has chosen to ignore any further communications.
Very disappointed in how this vendor has chosen to handle the situation.

UPDATE :
Over a month later and still no reply from Kathy of Katz Kuntry Kuttins.
Spent aprox. $130.00 with Katz Kuntry Kuttins, and for that I have received diseased plants and absolutely no accountability or customer service.
Using this purchase experience as an example. Kathy appears to only care about getting the 1st sale and has no intention of follow up customer service, nor any conscience with regard to sending diseased plant material.

I received my three Brug's and one Jacobinia today. They were shipped within days of placing my order and arrived in great condition. This company obviously takes great care to ensure the plants are well packed and hydrated during shipping. I received well rooted brugmansias that were at least 18" tall. The jacobinia was also well rooted and the leaves looked healthy.
Time will tell whether or not these plants thrive, but as far as I can see, Katz ' ' did what they could to ensure a good beginning.
My order was placed on June 23, 2008. The box was postmarked on Monday June 30 and I received my order on Wednesday morning July 2, 2008.
The box was placed on my shady porch by the US Postal Service. I ordered a 1 gallon lions ear. The plant was about 30" tall and wrapped in a single layer of newspaper. The rootball was bare and wrapped in plastic, there was no soil. The rootball looked the size of a 4" pot. THE PLANT WAS SEVERELY WILTED. I followed instructions on invoice about reviving stressed plants. The plant could not be revived and died.
I have sent 4 emails. 2 were sent through davesgarden.com, and 2 were sent to kuntrykuttins@hughes.net. No response received as of July 19. The phone number posted on davesgarden.com does not work.

To all of you reading the scoop on Katz Kuntry Kuttins:
I am changing my rating to neutral. YES, RATINGS CAN BE CHANGED after resolution!! It would have been a positive experience for Katz to say "You must not be aware that I did refund your purchase on July 9. I hope that your next purchase is a successful one."
There is no reason to be hot under the collar, because I said that I was posting because I hadn't heard from you. It is OBVIOUS that I was unaware of any refund and if you emailed me, I must have not received it.
Please understand that a missing email about a refund turned this transaction into an unpleasant event for us both. To be sure, I did a search on my email account before my public post to make sure I didn't miss any. There was nothing after the purchase and shipping emails.
I did receive a refund on July 9th, and I went on line to my bank to verify it.
As for my description of the size or packaging was just that - description. No negatives were meant to be implied. Just being factual. The plant would have been a beautiful size if it had made the trip successfully.
I will be the one to say that I am sorry for the unpleasant experience. I wish you well in your business.

You are the first person who left negative feedback after receiving a refund! You received the plant on the 2nd. You emailed me on the 3rd and stated you were soaking it. You emailed me on the 8th and said it died. I sent your total refund that same day. What exactly did you want me to do to make you happy? You emailed me twice, not 4 times. As for being bareroot, the root ball was wrapped in wet newspaper and then inserted into a baggie. The problem was not in the packaging, I discovered these plants dont travel well. As you can see if you check, I dont sell these in gallon size anymore. It also amuses me to think of a 30" tall plant growing in a 4" container...how does it stand up? (just curious :O)
Anyway, because there are people in the world whom you can never make happy, I now have a permanent blotch on my record. Thanks."
Received 3 brugmansia plants today. Even in this hot, dry climate the plants arrived in wonderful condition. Much larger than expected with lots of leaves and roots. Excellent packaging. Green Thumbs Up to Katz Kuntry Kuttins.

I was thrilled when I found this website! My mother has a green thumb and has a beautiful golden brugmansia and I had heard that there were other colors and found a pink and peach one on this website. I ordered them and they were delivered in just a few days! The plants were in excellent condition and I did as the packing list instructed and put the plants in water and they perked right up! I plan on planting them in the next couple of days. I will definitely shop here again and also have shared this site with my friends!

I ordered two passiflora plants last week. The plants are shipped out on Monday or Tuesday of each week. The plants are shipped priority mail USPS. I received my plants on Wednesday this week. They were in great condition--green, leafy, with moist soil. They were packed with newspaper around them and plastic around the pots. The plants were a much larger size than I would have expected for $4.00 a piece. The shipping at $4.00 each was great. The same plant at my local garden center was selling for $18.99 in poor shape. I would order from this company again--probably earlier in the spring as tropical plants in Zone 5 are houseplants that are set outside in the summer and then brought in for the fall. With this price if they don't make it, I know I could afford to buy another plant the next year!

Have not received plants yet but am leaving feedback in advance as this company comes so highly recommended. Her reputation precedes her which is a nice reflection on this seller. Cannot wait to get my plants which I'm positive are on their way in perfect condition.

This is in no connection to my original comment as I have placed yet another order which arrived Thursday in perfect condition. Despite our terrible weather the plants are doing beautifully. Box arrived without a dent. I would recommend this seller to anyone without hesitation.
Could not figure out how to post an original feedback so instead of not leaving any feedback at all, did it this way.
Purchased a night blooming epiphyllum and was surprised at how large it was when it arrived! Very well packed too. Would definitely buy from again! Thanks Katz!
When I ordered my plants Katz response was quick, and very helpfull. When I got my plants they were bigger than I expected, and nicely packed and healthy. Great place to get plants from. Thanks Katz, you'll be hearing from me again soon.

Bought 2 "Frosty Pink" Angel Trumpet from Katz Kuntry. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/2902/
Received them on the same week, planted and are doing fine at this point.
I recently ordered some plants to be shipped to my mom. They shipped right away and mom got them two days later. She was impressed with the packing and said they were in excellent condition. Also, my email request to Kathy was answered promptly, couldn't be happier with the whole experience.

The prices for plants and shipping are great and the quality of the plants were very high. I will definitely buy again from them.
My e-mail question was answered VERY promptly.
Our order was filled and processed expeditiously and arrived in excellent condition. My wife (Da Boss) was very pleased with her surprise replacement ( Night Blooming Cereus) for a winter weather Cereus casualty. Thanks for everything that made this a great experience.
Gods' Blessings to y'all,

Great customer service. Two years after ordering a brug, Kathy promptly responded to my email question about it's health, and threw in an unsolicited pruning suggestion.
I have been buying plants and seeds off ebay and other sites for the last few years with mixed results. I had seen this website and ebay listings and decided to give them a shot. I have to say I am really happy with the plants I received. I got two really healthy passion fruit vines and a very nice size brug. All packed great and good to go. Very fair pricing and great communication from Kathy. I will certainly not hesitate to order again. Steve in Philly

I recently ordered a bleeding heart vine, which is a plant I have been unable to buy locally. I was very pleased with the reasonable price and shipping costs. After ordering everything went smoothly, and my vine arrived in excellent shape. It's actually a bit bigger than I anticipated. I'm a very happy customer.
very nice healthy looking plants, well packed, great prices, she sells 4 inch potted plants for far less than others sell 2 inch ones, good communication, nice to deal with, highly recommend this company Thanks Kathy!!

I purchased a few Iochromas and a Clerodendrum from Kathy on ebay. She had very good communication. My plants were shipped quickly and were well packed. They arrived very healthy and bigger than expected. They flowered beautifully. Alas, they have not made it in my greenhouse through this very cold MN winter. The heater just could not keep up so I will have to purchase more from her this spring.
I ordered 5 rooted cuttings from her online store, then got 2 Shredded Whites from her on ebay. All of the plants arrived in excellent condition and were much larger than I expected!. I'll definitely order from Kathy again.
Hi Kathy, Received my sweet potato vines today and I just wanted to thank you so much. You have exceeded my expectations.....and made a new customer and friend! I will definitely order from you again. Thanks so much, Kari

Greatest plants I've ever received in the mail. Very nice rootball and they were just a tad bit wilted but came right back as soon as I planted them and are very health looking at this time. I got them 5 days ago. I will definately buy from this company again. Plus when I got them it was only around 30 degrees and less at night.Ladybug
