I made two small orders this season, with just two or three seed packets in each order. In both cases, the seeds reached me within a week (I live in California) and the germination rate has been very good. I also like the website's tone and the personal experiences / suggestions regarding each plant, though I don't know how often it is updated.
Last week I ordered 6 seed packets and, after waiting two days, sent an email asking them to confirm my order. I never received a reply but, 3 days later, the seeds arrived!
They were packaged in a padded envelope with a multipage printout of the order. Each unlabeled 2 inch seed packet was in a hand-labeled 4 inch plain envelope.
One of my selections was sold out but containerseeds promptly credited my Paypal account without any coaxing from me.
I'm a satisfied customer, assuming the seeds germinate acceptably.

Fast shipping! I purchased a starter kit, which is very nicely put together and economical. I'm a newbie, and the web site is very informative and helpful. I'm so excited about using screens to cover drainage holes! I never would have thought of that. Very detailed instructions are included with the water-holding crystals. Great company!

Product shipped fast, was exactly what I ordered, double envelopes, clearly marked.
I was thrilled to find them - they've got a great niche market. Even though I've got a garden, having containers have several benefits including having the veggies close at hand, being able to bring them in in incliment weather, keeping them away from the slugs, etc.
I'll definitely buy from them again, as I've had such a positive experience with them.
Areas for improvement:
In order for containerseeds.com to grow and stay ahead of copycats, etc., I'd like to see them have either specific growing instructions, or a forum where others can offer their experiences with their plants (and have a link within the description of the plant that opens a new window to this area).

Wonderful selection of seeds for container planting. Every seed sprouted and we'v'e already harvested lettuces and bok choy which were delicious. Friendly, helpful service and an EXCELLENT newsletter. A pleasure to do business with. Can't wait to try even more of their seeds. (San Francisco, CA)
I just recently recieved my first order from this company. The seeds were well packaged and they arrived in a timely fashion. The free gift seed packet was nice, too! Thanks!
All the seeds germinated fine and the seedlings are healthy and happy -- with the exception of the eggplants, which the cat managed to get into and eat. Thankfully I had enough seeds saved to start new ones!
In all, I'm very pleased with my order and with the concept of this company. Gardening in containers is very easy and fun to do, and for some people it is the only way to have a garden. Nice to see a company that recognizes this and offers such an interesting variety for container growers.

Seeds packaged and labeled very well. Fast shipping great prices. I really like the selection and growing tips on the site. It is especially helpful to have the suggested pot size! My seeds are sprouting as I write!
The seeds I ordered came quickly. I liked the varieties available and the descriptions on the site. The seeds are now sprouting well -- both the (colder-tolerant) ones I planted outdoors and the others I've started in the basement.
I sent a question about growing nasturtiums to Pat and she answered right away with suggestions and instructions (and offered a refund/replacement if they didn't work out!)
I am impressed with this company and would HIGHLY recommend it!

While this is a tiny, tiny company (seed packets have some hand writing labels on them.... labels are legibile though :) ) ..... the service is excellent and the prices are average. The selection is not huge but interesting.... All seeds are not just for containers many can be planted out doors.... I received my order promptly and in immaculate condition.... now let me grow the plants out and tell you what I think after that.... of germination and id. :)
Very nice service.. timely and well packaged.. I do wish they would include germination sheets or directions with order, but you can find it on the website I believe.. Very fast and efficient and like others stated I was convinced to try many varieties! Overall very very good!

I agree, and we're going include direction sheets with the seeds as soon as we can. As a new firm, we just haven't been able to manage it yet.
There are directions on our website.
Thanks for the nice rating (and to the other folks also).

Wonderful service. Great selection. I had a good email discussion with Pat and she had good answers for all my questions. Now if I can get the seeds to grow! Newbie here!
I am very happy with the service and delivery. Then I had a problem how to start germinating my Sarain Strawberry seed, well I e-mailed Pat and she helped me alot and I must say every seed did germinate and they are growing beautifully. Wow it is so nice to e-mail and ask a company for help and then they write you back in the next day or two. Thanks for everything, the personal touch cannot be beat!!!!

Container Seeds enticed me to try some new things with their selected, interesting combination of seeds. I've ordered from this company twice, and both times the orders came quickly. I so enjoy receiving their well-written, informative newsletters by email! As Container Seeds (just opened as of this writing) matures as an online source, I expect the planting information provided will expand and become more consolidated; the only thing I would want them to improve on is making it a little easier to access this information.
I placed my order for seeds and some supplies. Within a few minutes I received a confirmation email. A short time later I received a Paypal acknowledgement with a list of items I ordered. The items were received 5 days later. I was very pleased with the ordering system on their website and the speed with which I received my order.
