My overall experience has been GREAT! After placing my order Classy Groundcovers emailed me to ask if I was ready to receive my order. The plants arrived on the day they said and they were in wonderful condition. I would recommend them and will order again.

I live in Tampa. Ordered 100 Vinca Major plants last fall. They sent me about 150. I got some in the ground the day they arrived and some had to wait a few days. All, every single one, is alive and growing. I was counting on maybe half surviving. Nice, healthy plants and lots of them. Great value.
The plants I ordered arrived quickly and in great condition. Because of a holiday, the shipping schedule had to be changed a bit, and the company contacted me and explained the delay and gave the new date. I am hopeful that the plants will do well. They certainly started out in fine shape!
In Fall of 2010, I ordered plugs for Dwarf Mondo Grass. I ordered a set of 50 which arrived quickly, well-packaged and still moist, not overly damp. I teased them out a piece at a time, having made the bed ready to receive them with 50 holes done by a dibble. When the 50 holes were filled, I still had pieces leftover so I dibbled more holes, spacing the extra plugs within the designated area. It is now over a month later. The plugs look happy and healthy, adding greenery to a barren soil area in half shade. I don't see even one failure. I am going to give the plugs some winter protection as the company advised for zone 6. I will place a carpet of finely shredded leaves mixed with some conifer needles inbetween all the plugs for the cold months. Based on the performances of the similar Liriope and Black Mondo Grasses, I feel certain this Dwarf Mondo Grass will do well in my garden. Thanks Classy Groundcovers for a healthy, attractive product.
Hi folks, I wanted to let you know, the Carolina Jessamines we received were in excellent shape when they arrived. We planted them immediately and after a couple of days, they still look great. We have high hopes for them. Also, thanks for the speedy shipment.

In 2009, I ordered 1000 bareroot periwinkle and 100 bareroot daylilies. I have been so pleased that I repeated the same order this year, 2010. The weather has been so nice this spring that I asked them to send the order earlier than requested. Customer service was great, responding to my email request within 24 hours. S Byars IN

I have ordered from this company 3 times now. It is great to do business with a company that delivers as promised. I love them and would recommend them to all.
My plants were delivered very healthy and I have not lost one yet.
We recently built a house on a bluff and had to have extensive terracing done on both sides of the house. We wanted to use a variety of ground covers but because we live in a small rural town, large quantities were not available. I found Classy Groundcovers through Dave's Garden and decided to give them a try. I was very skeptical of ordering plants online so my first order was only 2 flats (48 plants). I was very impressed with the speed they were received as well as the quality of the plants and how they were packed. Over the past 2 months, I have ordered 26 flats (624 plants) of 4 different varieties and have not lost one single plant. They are all doing extremely well. I highly recommend Classy Groundcovers, will definitely use them again and love the added touch of a "thank you" gift..
In July of 2009 I ordered 900 Pachysandra bare root plants from Classy Groundcovers which arrived in excellent condition in central Illinois. Based upon the excellent service I have ordered another 300 plants in June 2010. I find it easy to use the ordering process, the plant quality is very good, and the quick shipping allows me to precisely plan my planting time. Good company, good products, excellent service.
Excellent personal service! I received my shipment as promised, and the daylilies are now blooming and are beautiful. The best part is that Catherine thought she was sold out, but she took a look in the "back field" and found 50 Nashville Stars (my first choice), offered them at an amazing discount, and exceeded my expectations! I believe her motives are not profit-driven but of of a pure love of gardening.
I have such gratitude, and will continue to feel so every time at look at these lovely lilies.

We ordered 24 containers of black mondo grass from Classy Groundcovers. The plants arrived looking as if we had just picked them up from a good local nursery- very healthy and well cared for. We'll very happy and will definitely order from them again!

I ordered some "Sundancer" Hostas and some Vinca Minor (I believe it was Ralph Shugert) from here 2 years ago.
The Sundancer Hostas are supposed to "thrive in moderate sun" which was a selling point for me as I was using them as a border in an area that did get some sun.
I have been very disappointed with these Hostas, even to the point of now questioning whether I even got the ones I ordered. They look nothing like the photo on their site.
After two years where most didn't grow more than 6 inches wide, I finally got fed up with them and a couple weeks ago I moved some to a very shady area and they already look better than they ever have before. And soil was not the difference. Either I didn't get what I ordered, or these are just not as advertised.
For the Ralph Shugert, same thing. I bought them to fill in some areas between some others (different variety) that were already planted (and flourishing) by the previous home owner. The ones that I planted two years ago that survived have barely grown any larger and this is supposed to be a rapid spreading groundcover.
I've given them a neutral as most of the plants have survived, and I never did contact them to complain, and to my recollection, the plants arrived in good condition and in a timely fashion. But I very well could have gone with negative on plant performance.

We'll have to agree to disagree on what variety of hosta I received. I'm not sure how you can so easily give a definite answer based on the picture I sent you versus every picture I've seen of that variety. The ones you sent me have a light green leaf with a yellow variegated edge. Every picture I've seen of Sundancer, including yours, shows a much darker leaf with a white variegated edge.
If it is in fact Sundancer, then I question it's sun tolerance. Perhaps it will turn that nice darker shade of green with a whiter variegated edge when it's been in the shade for a while, where apparently it belongs. I say that only because since I transplanted them in a very shady area a few weeks ago (in much WORSE soil conditions I might add) they are 3 times the size they ever got before and show no signs of slowing down.On May 4, 2010, Classy Groundcovers responded with:
I wish we had control over the environment our plants get planted in, but we don't. Any number of factors could cause plants to perform poorly, did you test the soil? Perhaps it's as simple as adjusting the pH. We have not had any other complaints about performance of these plants. All we can do is deliver healthy, thriving plants - which you said we did. The performance of those plants is common knowledge, we did not make it up. If they did not perform as they should, it is because of environmental conditions, not because we mis-advertised them. I invite you to send photos and we will confirm that you were sent the correct plants.

I ordered Blue Rug junipers this spring. Was able to choose my own ship date, which was a plus. The plants were delivered in good shape--no damage at all. I was very pleased and will order from them again.
I stumbled upon Classy Groundcovers while searching for plant information and am very happy that I did! I was very impressed with all the information given making my decision on the proper plants for my yard so easy. I ended up ordering 50 bare root pachysandras and 24 pots of liriope. The plants arrived two days after placing my order and the plants were in great shape. The plants have been in the ground a little over a week now and I've only had one casualty, for that I can thank my dog. Great plants, great value, and great service! I'll be ordering from Classy Groundcovers again Thank you!
I highly recommend Classy Groundcovers. Their website is easy to use and has numerous photos of plants and their service is outstanding. I just placed my second order.

Could not be happier with Classy Groundcovers. Received my recent order of ajuga within days. Great communication, reasonable prices, impeccable packing & lovely, healthy plants. Also, FREE SHIPPING! Ordered coreopsis nana last year, & had a similarly happy experience. If you don't need or want to pay for the large quantities required to order from this vendor, split your order with friends.
Wow, trully ecstatic with our purchase. So much so, that we ordered more and HAVE already recommended this vendor to friends. Quick shipping! Healthy Plants! Great prices! You cannot go wrong with Classy Groundcovers.

We had two very large orders of Carolina Jessamine, well over $1500. They arrived in great shape, on time, were easy to track and we had prompt email contact with the company. They are classy, indeed. Easy to work with, and prompt. No negatives at all, highly recommend.
i ordered some 'Anne Marie' English Ivy and they arrived .in excellent condition within a few days. This was my first order but it will not be my last. This company has demonstrated that they are serious about plants and know how to please the customer. They live up to their name. Keep up the good work!!!

This is a really classy company to deal with. They are efficient, honorable and the plants are superb. They are beautifully packed - best I have ever seen - and you really feel you are dealing with plant people who care. I have purchased from them since March 2007 and have never had a failure.

The daylilies arrived promptly within a week. They had a healthy root system. I'm hoping that the root systems will be strong enough to adjust to my planting them in the middle of this hot summer.

Plump, healthy bare root pachysandra arrived from this excellent supplier, at the same time Loriope arrived from much more well known catalog supplier. The Loriope all looked brown, dry and sure enough, even with a thorough soaking, amazingly attendant planting, they barely grew in the 2 months and most of them did not make it. This large supplier graciously replaced them, but not the time it took to get them planted...of course. My pachysandra from Classy are doing amazing! They are outperforming the existing plantings and I am anxious to order more from this excellent grower. We are up in New Jersey and they are in Georgia, but this supplier seems very devoted and I heartilly recommend them to anyone!
I wanted to express how impressed I was with the size and the great condition of the plants I received from classy ground covers. The flat was healthy, well watered and larger than any 3 in pot I can find locally. Thank you.
I definitely don't have a green thumb. I tried ordering ground cover and other plants from three other sources prior to finding Classy Groundcovers - and in all three cases, the plants were dead within a month.
But the plants I bought from Classy Groundcovers came with well established roots. The plants were in great shape and were clearly packaged with great care. I'm glad to say that the ground cover I bought in March is still going strong!
And the web site has a great search engine. You can enter your zone, soil condition, lighting, and many other specifications and find plants that are precisely what you need.
The customer service is awesome. They probably aren't the cheapest source - but it's worth it to pay a little extra and know that the plants are going to survive! I love this company,
A wonderful experience. The flowers arrived when promised, where in great condition, and they threw a few extra flowers in for free. I have already recommended them to a friend, who plans to use them in the Spring.

My first time ordering plants. Great experience. I ordered a small batch of liriope Monroe whites. Fantastic packaging, quick fulfillment and great communication. I will order again. I have a large area I plan to cover and I look forward to getting more from this supplier..
I ordered 25 3/12 inch pots of liriope variegata. I am sorry to say that most of the plants vere root bound, some so badly, iI had to use a razor blade to cut the roots. Also, a lot of old growth, yellow and brown. From the ratings I expected a better product. I am happy to say, however, that the grasses are doing well, and should be o.k. So I remain neutral about more ordering from this company.

Hi Barbara, I'm sorry that you were unhappy that the plants you received were root bound. They were from the end of a crop and by that point had foliage equivalent to a gallon. Most people would appreciate getting a plant with foliage and root structure that was substantially more mature than what they paid for.
As indicated on our unpacking instructions, any yellow or brown leaves should be removed at unpacking - the plants will quickly bounce back from the trauma of shipping and you will have full size plants much sooner than you would normally."
I finally found creeping veronica online at classygroundcovers.com.
My flat of lush healthy plants arrived within a few days of ordering and they made sure that the shipment arrived before the weekend.
This company delivered fine big plants and I will continue to order from them.
My best experience with a gardening mail order company. The plants arrived promptly and in excellent condition -- and the customer service is first-rate. I highly recommend this company.
