Extraordinarily friendly service and quick shipping. My Illicium arrived in such great condition (extremely large and healthy) that I immediately ordered a second one which arrived just as quickly and is as nice as the first. Highly recommend this seller. I will order from again. A+

The communication was awesome, the plants perfect, the advice invaluable. I feel like we not only found a great nursery but mentors and buddies as well, thanks so much you guys, looking forward to my fall order!

Just can't say enough about these guys. The stock is always gorgeous and generous, the service is personal, they will take time to answer any questions, almost immediately. Thanks as always, Wolfgang and Diane!
Got a hard to find tree (stewartia) at a great price and in great condition! Shipping reasonable and very fast. Communications were fast and accurate and assistance with planting advice very helpful!
Thanks!

I received my hardy Orange Bush and was delighted it was so big, over three feet tall. I ordered it one day and it was delivered a few days later after confirmation emails and delivery date. Very quick, with a hand written note on special care for it. It doesn't get better than this!
I ordered 3 Southern Comfort Coral Bells (Heuchera) last week. They arrived today (Wed.) after the Tues. ship date as promised. Actually they sent me 4 Southern Comfort Coral Bells and a bonus Caramel Coral Bells. They were packed very well, with clear planting instructions. This was my first experience with mail-ordering plants and I was thrilled to receive the plants looking so healthy.

My mom placed this order for me, so I can't speak to the ordering process, but the plants were in great shape and well-packaged, and there were 2 bonus irises (with personal notes) in this order of 3 paid-for irises... Very impressive. I will absolutely check them out for future internet purchases.
I ordered 2 Calycanthus last spring and neither made it. I contacted Wolfgang and he promised to send me two more in the fall. AND DID HE EVER! They came on the day he said and they are HUGE!
Wolfgang even called me personally to let me know he had not forgotten me, just before he shipped them. Service? I mean!!

I placed my order for a Fothergilla "Mount Airy" with this company a coupe of weeks ago. Received several e-mails as to when the scrub would be shipped. And yesterday just as they said , it was at my front door. I could not believe the size they shipped, and could not be happier. Thank you so much Wolfgang and Diane for the great service and product! I will order again in Spring! I would highly recommend you to anyone.
Ordered 3 Hydrangea. Plants were packaged perfectly and arrived very healthy. Planting instructions were informative and complete. Great service - on top of everything, they lowered my price after purchase by $20 due to excess inventory of plants. Now that's service! Will definitely become a regular customer.
I ordered three hellebores and was immediately sent emails confirming my order and explaining what to expect with shipping. The plants arrived when anticipated, and were HUGE and very robust. (As a comparison, a couple of years ago I ordered three hellebores from a competitor, and although healthy they were tiny and cost twice as much). A bonus plant was included and is much appreciated. The process of buying plants online can be an adventure, sometimes challenging, but there was no part of this transaction that could be improved upon. My repeat business is based solely on the service that I receive and Gardens Oy Vey can expect to see me time and time again.

I just bought a hydrangea from these people, what was unusual was the level of personalized service their company gives, they really care. Their planting instructions were very detailed and specific, they were right on top of the order the second they got it. Very nice doing business with them!
This company provides a personalized service like no other I have found on the web. It even exceeds in attention all of the staff of my local nursery with perhaps the exception of the owner who I have known for 20 years.. All of the e-mail responses make you feel that you are dealing with individuals (Wolfgamg and spouse) who really appreciate your business and it starts from the first order on, regardless of size. In the case of the unique calycanthus alba, I ordered late in the last seson, they took my order and out of concern for heat damage in shipment offered to keep my shrubs watered and growing until fall shipping season. The shrubs that arrived were far more valuable than when I ordered them having a full summer of growth and no-cost attention behind them. When one of three died, the folowing summer they offered immediately to replace it (in this fall) and would not accept my offer of paying the freight cost. I have just ordered a vine from them, again somthing hard to find. Outstanding!
I originally ordered a 1-gallon size of shade sedum. Because they were out of that size, they substituted 4 smaller-size plants. All were larger than the smaller containers the were sent in and all 4 were very healthy specimens. I have a feeling I got 1/4 to 1/3 more plants than the 1-gallon size would have offered. Very quick e-mail communications, and the plants arrived on the date they indicated. I'll be back!
Thanks for lovely clematis, quickly shipped, well packed and apparently healthy (I just hope I can keep it thus). Thank you also for quick response to my questions about siting and overcoming wilt problem. Overall, a very positive experience. (LOVE the name of your nursery!)
I'm always leary of internet mail order sources, but what a great experience this was! It is late in the season I came across this site by googeling "crososmia" I expected dormant corms and was shocked to find a 48" tall box on my doorstep within days of my order. On opening, I found a large bunch of healthy plants, still in bloom. Wolfgang later wrote that the large box was because he "couldn't bear to cut the last flowers" As in other comments, there were numerous email's from both Diane and Wolfgang telling me when my order was shipped, and the planting instructions are detailed and personalized. I'll definitely be a returning customer.
A wonderful experience from beginning to end. Process is easy. Communication is good. Plants arrive health and well packed. I am a repeat customer. Thanks GardensOyVey!

On 5/12/2009 I purchased 3 John Clayton native honeysuckle and 2 Major Wheeler native honeysuckle. I received them quickly and was sent several emails to be prepared for their arrival. They provided clear instructions on how to plant them. They were all large plants with well established root systems that arrived in good health and a good price. They also sent me a free Orange Magnifica native honeysuckle.
In my opinion they are an excellent plant source and I would purchase from them again.
Absolutely fantastic company to mail-order from. Detailed responses to my several preliminary inquiries about the Japanese Orange Tree and the related Flying Dragon Orange Tree, its potential for my area, its requirements, deer resistance, and so forth. (I am in zone 5b/6a in Cleveland Ohio, planting as a specimen container tree for the first year as we are moving, looking for as big a tree as possible). I placed my order for the Japanese Orange tree in April, requested that it be sent in mid-May. Received emails confirming the shipping time and arrival time. Today not one but TWO trees arrived, a second complimentary tree included!!! They had also taken time to pick out two differently shaped trees, and both nice big healthy trees (a little over 3 feet tall). Definitely on my "A" list of plant companies to order from, and I'll be telling all my plant loving friends about them!
Excellent mail order experience. Received emails to confirm receipt of order, to notify of scheduled ship date, to confirm shipment, to confirm delivery, and to provide planting instructions.
Plants arrived within a week, on the scheduled date, and in very good condition. They were well packaged and showed no sign of distress from shipment.
Absolutely beautiful plants, packaged with great attention and care. Could not be happier . And a nice, mature bonus Clematis was added to my small order. I shall be back. AAAAA+++++

I am really happy with my first purchase. I ordered two hard to find clematis, they sent me a personal email immediately after ordering and shipped out as told the next Tuesday. I received two healthy, leafy plants that are four times as big as the little starts I just bought from the nursery yesterday! Will definitely order from again

**Update on 6/28/09 I just had to add that one of my clematis struggled and didn't do well (the other is doing just fine) so I contacted gardensoyvey this morning (a Sunday!) and let them know. Wolfgang emailed me back within an hour to let me know a replacement would be sent out this week!!! I am so impressed, nice to meet people like these that you can trust.
If you are ever in the Memphis area, this place is a must-see! It's in a lovely wooded area, and the owners live on site. The love and care they take with their plants is evident in everything they do. Since I live here, I buy directly from them, so I can't comment on shipping, but it's obvious they care about the plants they send. I give them 100 stars!!!!!!!

Good communication. Plants were soaked and shipped the Monday after the order, to avoid them being trapped in a box over a weekend (arrival: Thursday). They were a little smaller than the projected sale size, so the price was reduced (gardensoyvey's choice, before shipping). General care sheet included. The plants (yucca) are healthy and doing well.
I've bought two Hellebores plants. They've arrived very soon, very well packed, huge plants in awesome condition. I received a personal email from Diane & Wolfgang with advice for the best well-being of the plants. It's a delight to buy from them.
I ordered several shrubs and trees on Monday and they arrived at my house yesterday (Wednesday). The plants were packed with care and the roots were still very moist and happy. The plants were all a very good size with good branching and healthy root systems. The size you get for the price cannot be beat! It is nice to order from a company run by people who actually care about gardening rather than a big company who just wants to get the plants in and out and get your money. Wolfgang both emailed and called me regarding my order and it was very nice to make contact with an actual person who is out there with the plants. Fantastic - I cannot recommend them highly enough!
Oh my god-these are the best people to deal with. I didn't even get my order yet and we have exchanged emails about 6 times already. I'm getting a serviceberry already 4 feet tall and branched out and they will ship it bareroot to save me excess shipping fees for the weight. You gotta use this company for your plants. What a pleasure.

Well, these guys are continually shocking me with their customer service. I got notified last week that my order will be shipping tomorrow. Usually you either get notified the same day it ships or you have to annoy them for a shipping date. Not this company. I received two beautiful helleborus plants, a cinnamon fern, and a bonus of a complimentary tokyo fern. All in excellent health, well packaged and moist. Planted all today per their enclosed instruction. I try to take as much care in planting them as they did in growing and shipping them. Once again an excellent experience. I thank them again for the extra fern.
they are on the top of my list for fall. On May 7th, 2009, plantgnome added the following:
Received my Third order today-fantastic-and another complimentary plant-this time a tiarella sugar and spice. Thrilled as usual. Another smooth transaction for nice healthy plants. I'll be busy tomorrow putting them in their new home.

Wonderful company to buy plants. Good email communication. I ordered four ferns, three hostas, and a Lenten rose. They sent very healthy plants and even an extra Lenten rose of a different color for free!! Recommend highly.

I just received my order of 'Joan Senior' daylilies from Gardensoyvey.com and I couldn't be happier. These were advertised as 2-year old plants, which they obviously are. Each of them has at least two large fans, and a couple have as many as four fans--all with a well-developed healthy root system and at a lower price than that charged for a single fan by some of the other online plant farms. When I'm in the market for daylilies in the future, I'll go to Gardensoyvey.com first!
