I placed an order with Summerhill recently and for some reason my postal carrier didn't feel like leaving the envelope (which would have fit easily in my mailbox) and left my pick up notice in the neighbors box. A couple weeks later the neighbor gave me the notice and my seeds had been returned to sender as I hadn't gone to the PO to pick them up. I emailed Robyn and offered to send payment for postage if they would resend my order. She very kindly and quickly declined my offer of postage money and resent my order (with fresh seeds) which arrived safe and sound. All emails were responded to and I really appreciate them going so far to make sure my seeds made it to me. The reasons I didn't receive them had absolutely nothing to do with them and still they went above and beyond when they didn't have to.
Really happy with my experience and will be returning for more---give them a try!

Hosted the 2009 Summerhill co-op and couldn't be happier with the entire thing. I think I can safely speak for all the participants in saying that it was a pleasure to work with both Robin in customer service and Mitch in technical support. They were prompt to respond to any and all questions and concerns and kept me informed about the in stock situations.
First time hosting any co-op so I made mistakes or overlooked things a couple of times but due to the professionalism of the folks at Summerhill everything worked out beautifully. Couldn't be more pleased as a host and as a customer and if each person could comment on it I think there would be 80+ members leaving similar feedback.

I know it is a funny time of the year to order seeds....but I like to take a good look toward the end of my growing season and start planning for the next year....I'm already looking forward to next spring. I placed an order on-line with Summer Hill Seeds. What a great experience. I received a few e-mails just to inform me of the status of my order....WOW! When I received my seeds, Robin had included 2 free packets of seeds, based on what I had already purchased...again, WOW! She is good...the seeds are right up my alley. I also received a HANDWRITTEN thank you. Now ask yourself, how many seed companies actually hand write thank you's to their customers?
With this kind of customer service, and keep in mind I think I only spent $30.....I will be a repeat customer....as well as telling my garden friends how great is was to order from this company...two thumbs up to Robin and her team!

I was pleased to find this seller via Dave's. She has many unusual varieties such as a yellow impatiens that I have only seen in the nursery where I work as $8 plants. I ordered on April 4 and received my seeds on April 12th. Carefully packaged and with three free packets and a handwritten thank you! Excellent source.

This was my first time ordering from this company - I stumbled across them because I was looking for particular seeds, and was impressed with their selection. I also ordered seeds from other places at the same time. Still waiting for those. The seeds from Summer Hill, on the other hand, arrived so fast it almost made my head spin! :-) In a good way, of course. They were packaged superbly, came with a lovely handwritten thank-you note, and even some freebie seeds. And the seed packets have detailed instructions on them as well. Combine all of that stellar service with their great selection - and I'll definitely be ordering from them again! Couldn't have been a better experience......
I ordered seeds from their website, a very nice, easy to navigate site, and they came in a reasonable amount of time. I will use them again in the future and hopefully remember to update my rating to reflect germination rates. They also included some freebies in the order.

The most outstanding thing is the communication; from order confirmation, date shipped, through the follow-up email the day after they arrive to remind you not to let them sit out in the mailbox. I wish all the other companies would take heed - Robin has set the bar.
Prices are reasonable and plant selection is interesting. It's the first time I've found allamanda "cherries jubilee" seeds. Can't wait to see if I can get one going.
Order was completed in eight days; packaging was great; there were seed starter instructions, free seeds and the handwritten note.
I'll be ordering again. Thanks, Robin; keep it up.

I placed a large order with Summer Hill, still it was hard to limit my order! So many good things to choose from! I was pleased that I was able to use my discount code even though I was using gift certificates. And on top of all that free seeds too!

I also received special instructions for the seeds, besides the instructions on the seed packets. Last year I ordered from this company, so I chose to again this year. Again, it was a great experience. Three packets of free seeds were sent with my order based on the other seeds I ordered. In addition, the selection of garden vine seeds is amazing and there is a lot to choose from. Cannot wait to order more next year. Very impressed with this company. Was my first time ordering seeds from the internet and didn't really know what to expect. I liked that they sent e-mailed updates about when my order shipped & the e-mail address. Wonderful company! Fairly priced and they send bonuses that are based on your order - I ordered some plants for a new flower bed for my daughter and they sent me a package of seeds that I'd been looking for everywhere and unable to find as a bonus! Great communication and customer service - I can't say enough nice things about this company.
I chose to order from this company because of the good reviews on this website, and I could not be more pleased that I did! My order was shipped just a day or two after placing it, and it arrived by the end of the same week. These aren't commercial packets, but rather glassine envelopes within little plastic bags, but they are well marked, with clean seed and the seed counts are very generous. They also gifted some seeds that were very much the kind I would have chosen for myself. I had ordered all variegated varieties, and the gift seeds were also for variegated plants. Putting that kind of thought into an order is impressive. I will definately be ordering from these folks again! A wonderful experience in every way!
