I just received my first shipment of plants from Garden Harvest Supply. All plants arrived healthy with minimal damage. They were packed really well, in a snappable plastic cases which keep the plants pretty much intact the whole shipment. They also have the most reasonable prices on heucheras and heucherellas. I am very pleased with my purchase. I am planning to make more purchases from them in the future.
I wanted to add asparagus to my vegetable garden and, after searching several vendors' websites, selected gardenharvestsupply.com. I ordered 20 plants each of 2 varieties with an understanding that the plants would be shipped to me in early May. I received the asparagus crowns and found them to be in good shape. Following the accompanying instructions, I planted the crowns. The germination took between 2 and 4 weeks, but ultimately resulted in over 25 plants emerging from the soil. The plants are healthy and I am completely satisfied. I will do business with this company again in the future.
I purchased 3 types of plants-- Cardinal lobelia, French tarragon (which I could not find anywhere in nurseries in my area and which one does not start from seed), and a foxglove. All arrived very quickly, in great shape. The packing was very impressively done! I will definitely buy from this company again.

I placed the order on a Saturday evening and it arrived in my mailbox on the following Wednesday. Even though the box was a little beat-up, the plants inside were packed so well, everything was in good order. I think I have found my new best source for live plants. Thank you, Garden Harvest Supply!!

In early May, I purchased some Fucshia and Impatiens plants.
With the plants, they furnished instructions and Discount Code.
We had some sunny dry days in May, and some of plants
wilted. With my points and extra 5%, the replacement plants
didn't cost that much.
After our June rain, the Fuschia plants perked up.

This year, my Fuschia plantswere healthy and had blossoms on them. They even withstood the late spring rainstorms. Right now, They are stanting tall in its hanging basket. I plan to purchase more flowers from them.
I placed my first order with Garden Harvest Supply in March. I purchased a variety of Hosta and Lantana plants which have been difficult to find in local nurseries. The plants arrived in excellent condition at the proper planting time in May. I am very pleased with their growth and they look good in my yard. I will make more purchases from Garden Harvest Supply.

My plants arrived in very good shape, and the company was careful to send them when I'd be home-- they checked with me in advance. They came in a container that would have made it impossible for them to be damaged in transit. It was great, and they're all doing very well.
I looked at a number of companies offering "diatomacious earth". Garden harvest offered the BEST prices, and my order was delivered quickly. I enjoyed speaking on the phone with the folks at Garden Harvest. I will always continue ordering from them.
This company strives to please their customers. I've never encounter a company who worked as hard as Garden Harvest Supply to make sure that I'm happy with my purchase despite the fact that I only made a small purchase.
I ordered several Heuchera plants from them. One of them was unavailable this season and they let me substitute while immediately shipped the rest of the order. The representative, Tina, was extremely patient and spent quite a bit of time to educate me on successful growing of the Heuchera. All plants arrived very healthy. The packaging is the best I've ever seen in plant shipping. Highly recommend them.

FANTASTIC! I ordered 4 green bean plants and 2 corn plants. Received immediate confirmation and received the plants just several days later. The plants arrived in safe condition and were all HUGE! Soil was moist. Well packaged. I wish I had discovered this company first before using others as they just did not measure up to this company. I will be using them from now on for my veggie and flower plants. Great experience! A satisfied customer from Camden, SC.

This is the second year I've ordered from Garden Harvest Supply. As always, the plants arrived super quickly and healthy. Their prices are always reasonable and they are one of my favorites places to order from.
I received the wrong product at first. I emailed them with the problem and they emailed me back and said they would send the right thing and for me to keep the wrong item, and use it if I needed it. I didn't receive the other item so I emailed once more and I got an email back telling me how sorry they were for the mistake and my product was on it's way. It arrived very quickly after that. You have to remember, you are dealing with human beings, they make mistakes sometimes. I make my fair share, plus a few of other peoples shares. The question you have to ask is, "Was the problem corrected?" In my case, yes it was. Pleasure doing business and I would recommend your company to my friends and associates. Thank you.

I placed an order for DE and sweet potato slips on April 29. DE received in a timely manner. Received sweet potato slips on May 11. The matter the slips were wrapped in was COMPLETELY dried out. Lest it be assumed that the USPS, who did the shipping, held on to the slips, the time stamp on the package was May9, two days before I received the slips. If these slips had been packed and sent in the correct manner, I would have received fresh, vibrant slips. As it was, the leaves-when there were leaves- were black, dried out and dead looking. Many of the slips did not even have leaves nor roots for that matter. I was very disappointed in this company and will NEVER order from them again. I spent good money for a bad product.

BIGjojo I am sorry to hear about the condition of your sweet potato plants. We do guarantee your satisfaction and would be more than happy to reship another order for you. Please call us Monday and we will get you taken care of. Sincerely, Joe"

I like to try new things in my garden, something besides what's available to me locally, so I buy quite a few plants online. I'm really glad that I chanced across Garden Harvest Supply. Their selection is wonderful, VERY reasonably priced, and their plants are amazing. I was also impressed with their careful packaging and lightning-fast delivery. Definitely a great transaction!! I will buy from them again.
This was my first purchase from this company and couldn't be more pleased with my fuchsia plants I ordered. They were packaged better than any other plants I have bought and had shipped. The fuchsias were big and healthy, nothing broke, no bugs or diseases.
I will order from this company again. Also prices and shipping were reasonable.

Wow! I orderd 6 agastaches and a butterfly bush. My first order with this company. I am very pleased with the plants I received.
These plants are well rooted and larger than I expected.
I am going to order some kniphofias today.
I would recommend this company to anyone looking for nice plants at very reasonable cost.
Shipping was fast and the plants were well packaged. This has been a positive experience for me. I got some great plants at a price that was more than fair.
Wonderful first experience with Garden Harvest Supply. I ordered 6 different butterfly bushes. They were huge and well rooted. They were packed extremely well. I had bought some from Michigan Bulb a few years back. They were no where near the quality that I just got from Garden Harvest Supply and they cost a lot more.
I placed an order for some tomatoes, peppers, squash and zucchini. They arrived quickly with awesome packaging- the plants were healthy and in great condition. They're doing really well in the garden so far.
I spoke with their Customer Service department regarding shipping dates, and they were incredibly helpful. Thank you, Garden Harvest Supply!
I placed an initial order in February of this year, added another order 2 weeks ago. Called the company, requested to combine orders due to shipment not sent out yet for my zone. They accommodated and refunded some of the shipping cost. They sent the plants out immediately at my request. The box arrived by UPS yesterday with 36 plants inside. They were all alive and doing very well. Today, I just finished planting all the items. They seem very healthy and happy. I am very pleased with my "first-time" order with Garden Harvest Supply. I would definitely consider them for next year.

I placed an order on 4/3 for 4 cajun hibiscus plants and their website listed my order as "processed". I kept checking my order and it never showed as being shipped even as I received hibiscus plants I ordered from other places. I called early last week and the person from the company said that it would be shipped last week. That never happened. I emailed yesterday to find out what what was going on. I received emails today stating that it was not shipped because one of the items I ordered 5 weeks ago, a Black Dragon hibiscus, was out of stock because of a supposed crop failure. What this had to do with the rest of my order I do not know but I was never informed of this and had to go out of my way to find out what happened to get the rest of my order shipped.

flower36child I am very sorry to hear about this problem. I have just spoken with everyone who is involved with your order. Each order is "processed" as soon as it is placed, however it does not ship until the particular week for your state. When you called last week, we did not pay attention to the individual items on your order and just assumed everything was shipping, since NJ shipped last week. Please allow me to apologize for this error on our part, there is no excuse for this oversight. The Black Dragon did have a crop failure, I apologize we did not follow through with you when we were informed. It appears you gave us the go ahead to ship the rest of your order, we will get it right out. I would appreciate a follow up once our order arrives. Again, I am very sorry we have failed in giving you great customer service. Joe"

This was my first order with GHS and so far it's been a great experience. I ordered online after finding them via a google search for tomato plants. Wanted to be able to buy single plants and most of the major companies require a purchase of 3 plants. While looking at GHS website, I found that they had foodstuffs as well as plants. Being a "foodie" I decided to try a few things. Asked that the plants be shipped to arrive before we leave for a vacation in May and, if possible, the other things shipped immediately. Few days later, there was a perfectly packed carton at my front door. The raw milk cheddar is excellent. I'll let you know how the rest of the order works out.

5-9-2011 The rest of my order - tomato plants - arrived via USPS Priority mail today. I have to tell you Dave's Garden readers that the plants appear to be very healthy; were perfectly packed; arrived in excellent condition. I've ordered tomato plants from several well known mail order companies in the past and have never had plants arrive in such good condition. I have my Earth Boxes all ready and will plant tomorrow.

I ordered almost 175 dollars of plants from this company. When I received my plants after four days in the mail, most of the tomato plants were dead, as well as one of my cucumber plants. The pepper plants were in good shape.
Overall, the plants were very small and not well watered. If I would have known that for these prices I would be paying for such small, unsubstantiated plants I would have gone to my local Lowes store or farmers' market. The advantages for going local--receiving larger, healthy plants for the same price or lower that you can choose on your own--far outweigh hoping that someone will give you a plant that looks like an image you see on the web.
I have learned my lesson, and will never buy from this website again. Too bad I'm out almost 200 dollars (this includes shipping).

Dear dano2222, Please accept our sincere apology for the bad arrival of your order. It is our goal to have every shipment arrive in great condition, it looks like we have failed you in this regard. We did receive your email over the weekend regarding the problem with your tomato plants, was there problems with the other plants as well? We do guarantee your satisfaction. Can we reship the plants in question?
I was not going to order from GHS again after receiving the wrong plants last year which had been mistagged. However, all 13 heucheras arrived in great condition and were exactly what was ordered. I saved $52 buying them from GHS vs another online vendor for the same size.
I had not ever heard of this company. but I found them on a search for some Wave petunias, I live in MA and they were not in the stores yet. I came across a very unique Wave petunia, and went searching for it a Easy Wave Black Velvet petunia, wow what a gorgeous plant, and the way they package them is incredible, I will always shop with this company from now on. The prices were the best at least $2.00 less than all other places I checked, I ordered 3 each Black Velvet, a gorgeous Pinstripe, double wave White and easy wave blue, I have today planted them all. I left them outside to settle, to make sure our cool Massachusetts nights were not too cool, but we are having odd warm weather and they are doing just fine. Thank you I love them and will be back.

I ordered several ..several.. plants from this company. I couldn’t believe I had all of them when the package arrived. It was big..but looked too small to contain so many veggies and flowers. ..The surprise was on me and a very pleasant one at that. ..It contained everything very neatly packed and in 4 inch pots. ..They were all extremely healthy with very moist soil. ..I am so-o appreciative of this company. ..The price for the plants was very reasonable and I got more than I thought. For example: an order for four corn plants turned out to be twelve, as each pot actually contained three very healthy little plants. Love it! ..I will definitely be ordering from them many times in the future.

The prices were so reasonable that my sister passed on ordering anything, saying she would see what I got. So I placed a trial order for 5 plants, a hose nozzle and organic seeds . The nozzle and seeds arrived in a couple days, a separate shipment at no extra cost. The plants arrived a week later and in good shape. Sure, they were small, but so healthy they doubled in size every few days. When my sister saw the plants, she wanted some too. I wanted more plants and another nozzle. Unfortunately, my second order arrived in a badly damaged box. Soil was spilled and every plant was disturbed. I repotted the plants hoping to salvage some. But the plants were so healthy that the next morning all but two looked fine. Stefni at Garden Harvest Supply immediately ordered relacement plants, and within a few days we received two wonderful replacements. My sister is delighted with the plants I ordered for her and mine are thriving in the garden. Based on above, we have recommended this company to our friends.
I would like to say negative but the pepper plants did arrive in descent shape. My neutral grade is that I live in Conn. ( zone 6 ) and the night temps are still in the 40's and maybe a 50 now and then. Peppers do not grow in these temps plus they become stunted and sickley if planted out. Tomatoes are not even in the gardens yet never mind peppers. I will have to keep them indoors, under lights, until at least Memorial Day which is over 3 weeks away. I think Garden Harvest Supply should have known what the weather conditions are before they ship or ask for a tenative shipping date from the customer upon order. That's it
On May 5, 2011, Garden Harvest Supply responded with:
Dear tommyfemc: First of all, let me say thanks for your order, it is appreciated! I am sorry you received your order earlier than you wanted. Unfortunately there is no way we could monitor the conditions in all of the states we ship to. We determine our ship dates according to the last frost dates as assessed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. In past years we have shipped to Connecticut in the 2nd week of May; however we had a lot of customers from your state asking for earlier ship times, they thought we were waiting too long, so we moved it up 1 week. At the end of each season we reevaluated our ship dates, we will certainly keep your suggestion in mind. Now for your plants, 30 days is way too long for you to try and keep them alive inside. We would be glad to have them picked up and returned to us. We will then reship on a date you tell us (keep in mind that you do have the option during checkout to choose an earlier or later date than the one that is showing on our ship dates page), is this an acceptable solution for your order? You may also call our office toll-free at 888- 907-4769 to discuss this further. Sincerely, Joe"
This was the very first time I had dealt with a on-line garden supply house and I wound up being helped by a wonderful service representative by the name of Tina M. She kept me advised of times and shipping dates. She helped in explaining how the live plants were shipped. Advised me on shipping costs and delivery times. In fact she will be the main reason I will return for future purchases from Garden Harvest Supply. Plus, the plants arrived ahead of schedule and ready to put into the ground. Better than any local garden supply business of big box store.
Very pleased with my first order. Shipping was prompt; plants were well packed (I'm impressed by the clever plastic boxes for the annual plants); plants were healthy and a good size; helpful planting instructions included as well as a beautiful booklet featuring Proven Winners stand-outs (I want them all!) I will definitely be back soon with more orders.
