I recently asked for a gift card for this company from my wife for my birthday. They had a lot of nice things on their website. When I went to spend it though I noticed that they do not allow you to spend gift codes on shipping---only merchandise, and their shipping is NOT cheap. So I have to pay to ship my own present. So please be wary-- better to get cash and spend it than it is to be limited by these unfortunately over-restrictive policies. Will come back and review the product once I receive it.

Back in April of 2011, I decided that I wanted to have a few herbs and some coleus plants in my garden... Actually I should say it's really a small patio, only about 64 square feet or so... which the plants have to share with patio furniture.
Anyhow, I was able to obtain suitable herbs locally... but nobody in my town who works where plants are sold seems to even know what Coleus is, let alone had any for sale. I went searching on the internet and found Garden Harvest Supply, where I discovered an abundance of varieties of Coleus.
After studying my options, I chose Dark Chocolate, Dark Star, and Cracklin Rosie varieties of Coleus. All are said to be 15 inches or smaller in height... well surprise, surprise, surprise! They get much larger than that. Mine are currently about 24 inches in height (or a little over) and still growing. No, I'm not at all disappointed as much as astounded! I thought I was getting dwarf varieties, which is what I had intended to get due to the very limited growing area available to me.
Do I blame this type of growth on:
1. The humidity? - which these Coleus seem to love.
2. The loving care which my beloved spouse showers on the plants?
3. The Miracle Grow potting soil? - which is about all we can find locally.
4. All of the above?
Ironically, I was supposed to be the gardener in this household because my husband works full time for wages... but he does more in the garden than I do.
Later, I also bought two Apple Mint and two Spearmint plants. They are doing what mint does - attempting to be invasive. I don't mind, because that invasive tendency gives me an excuse to harvest some fresh mint, which I like in teas and salads... and since everything in my garden has to be planted in pots of one kind or another, the mint can't go too far. In fact, the Apple Mint must be as happy as a plant can be. It's attempting to bloom. I harvested the blossoms this morning.
I placed my original order from this company due to it's reviews on this website. I am extremely disappointed to say the least. My original order was placed on June 2nd. I recieved a partial order on the 9th. My shrubs were wilted, but I had expected that they would bounce back since they had just spent 3 days in a box. All of my vegetable plants arrived as complete mush. I emailed the company and asked basically what my option were I was told I could recieve a refund or they could reship the plants. June 11th I called and was told they would reship the veggies no problem. I had no intentions of leaving a bad review based on 1 mail issue. To this date I still have not received my replacement plants, even though the remainder of my order had been finished. Just this evening I received an email stating UPS had charged them extra postage so they were going to pass that charge on to me and had gone ahead and charged my card the additional charge earlier today (over a month after I placed the order), without my permission. Some forewarning would have been lovely heaven forbid it had bounced. So overall I give two large thumbs down, I have never been so disappointed in an order.

After moving to MO a couple years ago from 45 years in So. CA to a house which had a severely neglected landscape... what a challenge....
One of the additions has been a good size "mound" in the front yard. We planted a Riverbirch and a miniature weeping evergreen tree, a few dwarf native grasses and added several purple Echinacea. Looking very pretty but my husband made the comment that it needed more color and I agreed. I want to stay with a more natural look and of course hardy perennials are a must, so I began browsing for some of the yellow/orange/red hue Echinaceas. Many of the "designer" colors I found were over the top in price, until I stumbled on Garden Harvest Supply. Was thrilled with the offerings and equally pleased with the prices. Decided to order a variety of new colors from GHS.
I called them to check on availability and if they could be planted this far into the hot summer. Lady was very pleasant and helpful, letting me know that yes, I could plant the now but was going to make sure they were well watered till they became established. So I placed an order for nine. They arrived quickly and were packed exceedingly well, good sign, especially in this weather. They were in very deep 3" pots, well established with several buds ready to bloom. Since dragging hoses to the mound is a bit of a chore for this old gal, I chose to replant them in 5" deep pots, and set them in our little greenhouse till fall. I will pop them in when the weather is less extreme. Early enough for them to establish before winter comes, which is what I successfully did with our purple ones last fall.
I highly recommend GHS for quality and service!! Will be back for other items on my "want" list!!

I wanted to add asparagus to my vegetable garden and, after searching several vendors' websites, selected gardenharvestsupply.com. I ordered 20 plants each of 2 varieties with an understanding that the plants would be shipped to me in early May. I received the asparagus crowns and found them to be in good shape. Following the accompanying instructions, I planted the crowns. The germination took between 2 and 4 weeks, but ultimately resulted in over 25 plants emerging from the soil. The plants are healthy and I am completely satisfied. I will do business with this company again in the future.
I purchased 3 types of plants-- Cardinal lobelia, French tarragon (which I could not find anywhere in nurseries in my area and which one does not start from seed), and a foxglove. All arrived very quickly, in great shape. The packing was very impressively done! I will definitely buy from this company again.

In early May, I purchased some Fucshia and Impatiens plants.
With the plants, they furnished instructions and Discount Code.
We had some sunny dry days in May, and some of plants
wilted. With my points and extra 5%, the replacement plants
didn't cost that much.
After our June rain, the Fuschia plants perked up.
It is one of my favorite Garden Places to shop.

FANTASTIC! I ordered 4 green bean plants and 2 corn plants. Received immediate confirmation and received the plants just several days later. The plants arrived in safe condition and were all HUGE! Soil was moist. Well packaged. I wish I had discovered this company first before using others as they just did not measure up to this company. This is the second year I've ordered from Garden Harvest Supply. As always, the plants arrived super quickly and healthy. Their prices are always reasonable and they are one of my favorites places to order from.
I received the wrong product at first. I emailed them with the problem and they emailed me back and said they would send the right thing and for me to keep the wrong item, and use it if I needed it. I didn't receive the other item so I emailed once more and I got an email back telling me how sorry they were for the mistake and my product was on it's way. It arrived very quickly after that. You have to remember, you are dealing with human beings, they make mistakes sometimes. I make my fair share, plus a few of other peoples shares. The question you have to ask is, "Was the problem corrected?" In my case, yes it was. Pleasure doing business and I would recommend your company to my friends and associates. Thank you.

I placed an order for DE and sweet potato slips on April 29. DE received in a timely manner. Received sweet potato slips on May 11. The matter the slips were wrapped in was COMPLETELY dried out. Lest it be assumed that the USPS, who did the shipping, held on to the slips, the time stamp on the package was May9, two days before I received the slips. If these slips had been packed and sent in the correct manner, I would have received fresh, vibrant slips. As it was, the leaves-when there were leaves- were black, dried out and dead looking. Many of the slips did not even have leaves nor roots for that matter. I was very disappointed in this company and will NEVER order from them again. I spent good money for a bad product.

This was my first purchase from this company and couldn't be more pleased with my fuchsia plants I ordered. They were packaged better than any other plants I have bought and had shipped. The fuchsias were big and healthy, nothing broke, no bugs or diseases.

Wonderful first experience with Garden Harvest Supply. I ordered 6 different butterfly bushes. They were huge and well rooted. They were packed extremely well. I had bought some from Michigan Bulb a few years back. They were no where near the quality that I just got from Garden Harvest Supply and they cost a lot more.
I placed an order for some tomatoes, peppers, squash and zucchini. They arrived quickly with awesome packaging- the plants were healthy and in great condition. They're doing really well in the garden so far.

I placed an initial order in February of this year, added another order 2 weeks ago. Called the company, requested to combine orders due to shipment not sent out yet for my zone. They accommodated and refunded some of the shipping cost. They sent the plants out immediately at my request. The box arrived by UPS yesterday with 36 plants inside. They were all alive and doing very well. Today, I just finished planting all the items. They seem very healthy and happy. I am very pleased with my "first-time" order with Garden Harvest Supply. I would definitely consider them for next year.

This was my first order with GHS and so far it's been a great experience. I ordered online after finding them via a google search for tomato plants. Wanted to be able to buy single plants and most of the major companies require a purchase of 3 plants. While looking at GHS website, I found that they had foodstuffs as well as plants. Being a "foodie" I decided to try a few things. Asked that the plants be shipped to arrive before we leave for a vacation in May and, if possible, the other things shipped immediately. Few days later, there was a perfectly packed carton at my front door. The raw milk cheddar is excellent. I'll let you know how the rest of the order works out.

I ordered almost 175 dollars of plants from this company. When I received my plants after four days in the mail, most of the tomato plants were dead, as well as one of my cucumber plants. The pepper plants were in good shape.
Overall, the plants were very small and not well watered. If I would have known that for these prices I would be paying for such small, unsubstantiated plants I would have gone to my local Lowes store or farmers' market. The advantages for going local--receiving larger, healthy plants for the same price or lower that you can choose on your own--far outweigh hoping that someone will give you a plant that looks like an image you see on the web.
I have learned my lesson, and will never buy from this website again. Too bad I'm out almost 200 dollars (this includes shipping).

I was not going to order from GHS again after receiving the wrong plants last year which had been mistagged. However, all 13 heucheras arrived in great condition and were exactly what was ordered. I saved $52 buying them from GHS vs another online vendor for the same size.
