I ordered two 5w solar panels in December. I was quickly advised that they were out of stock. Then I got an email that said the panels would be in by mid-January. The email gave me the option of cancelling the order or waiting. I waited, and today I received the two panels, which work fine. So I'm happy.

If I had read comments before ordering I probably would never have ordered from them. But since I hadn't...
I ordered a solar pump which according to DHL was to arrive on the 11th. It did not. Talked to sales today (15th) & after a long wait was told it was backordered, but it should ship today. Called back & talked to customer service & was told it will ship in 48 hours. I was told that they print shipping labels (& notify the shipper) & then the info is given to the shipping floor to have the item built. I strongly suggested that they may want to relook at how they are doing this.
I hope that I can give a positive follow up, but after reading all the negative ones, I am a little skeptical.

After I made that initial comment, I went back to their web site to check on my order. I found that the person I talked to had made a comment that it would be shipped in 48 hours. I watched and it was shipped in about 30 hours. When the solar pump arrived it exceeded the description. The specs said it would pump water 48 inches and at about 4:30 pm in central Illinois it pumped the water over 52 inches. In addition to disagreeing with showing it shipped, I also disagree with DHL showing that it would arrive on the 11th. Their web site still showed that it would arrive on the 11th when they delivered it on the 18th. On May 15, 2007, Silicon Solar Inc. responded with:

One of our links on the forum is silicon solar and i decided to do a search and found this...Im surprised at this because we have a lot of members who talk about that site as being a great reference and source of solar products. I've only purchased a small solar flashlight, worked great, but sorry to hear the above, i imagine it was just a slip through the cracks of some sort. Anyway, just thought i'd make a post here.
