I have used this company for a number of years. I have always received the product ordered (broccoli) and the plants have been in good shape. They are bareroot, but they are also much more reasonable in price. I place the plants in water (as their website recommends) when they are received and then if I can not get them in the ground shortly after receiving, I make paper pots that I can put them in that will disentergrate once they have been planted. I do not order the plants until I want them shipped, so I can not address orders for future dates and not being processed on the correct dates. I suspect that this company generates more revenues from large planters of crops that do not find a few bad ones upsetting, but that is just my perception due to the way the plants are advertised, packaged and shipped. Since their plants are about 1/2 the price of other on line companies, I will take the chance that I may be one of the customers like those a few years ago posting negative comments. Even if 1/2 the plants are dead, I am still paying the same price as with other companies. The individual that runs the company seems to be an older fellow and I suspect his use of internet knowledge is limited, so I have always contacted him either by e-mail or by phone, not by his website contact link. And ask about their guarantee if you have questions based on comments on this site.
I have nothing but praise for this wonderful plant company. Their plants arrive bareroot and seem small compared to greenhouse plants but lookout, once planted they grow quickly and produce heavily. They out produce greenhouse plants and cost a fraction of the cost. Their prices are very reasonable and the people you talk with are friendly and helpful. Evans makes planting a large garden affordable. They do have a webpage, the address is- http://www.evansvegetableplants.com/
