My husband ordered the "As Seen on TV Giant Tree Tomato plant" . I WAS very skeptical but I gave them a try. It DID take a while longer than I thought it would Not really happy about that but....... I rec'd them in GOOD condition. I followed the instructions provided and they sprouted very easily and I got 3 sprouts in 4 out of 5 starter pots. 1 pot did nothing. Not bad odds, I'd say. They grew to about 4" tall and I transplanted each sprout into 6" clay pots and all did well and are growing rapidly. I am now trying to decide how I want to plant them....in the ground or in lg. pots. I RATHER do the pots but I'm not sure how to go about it when they get larger. I know I need to stake them but I'm not sure how they differ from regular tomatoes in that regard. It would help if they would provide more in depth growing and care instructions for planting in pots. I can't wait to see how they progress from here.
I questioned my wisdom when I first received my plant packs but after watering and waiting for the seeds to germinate my faith was restored. Several packs had multiple plants which I divided when I transplanted and I had plenty to give away. I now have all of those advertised and they are growing like crazy, with several tomatoes already showing and lots of blooms. If they taste as amazing as the plants look I will be very pleased with the results and from the looks of the plants I will have the largest "TREE TOMATOES" ever grown.
I also ordered the Pepper plants and they are doing fine too. Lots of blooms for the future crop.
