Having had experience with the "Weed Wrench" (http://www.weedwrench.com), the "Pullerbear" (http://www.pullerbear.com), and the Extractigator (http://www.extractigator.com), - the CLEAR WINNER is the Extractigator. What a joy this specialized tool is in clearing unwanted tree & shrub seedlings mixed in with your garden. Unlike other similar tools, the Extractigator is the only one that opens it jaws automatically by simply lifting the unit. It is the only tool that can gently remove small 8" seedlings and also remove established 4' shrubs and 8' trees. Can a gardener have fun weeding woody plants? Yes, if you have an Extractigator. We all have many gardening tools, but I promise you that the Extractigator will be become your favorite maintenance tool. Correspondence with the company has been courteous and professional.
