The lilly bulbs I ordered from this company did not grow, even though I followed their planting directions. I attempted to resolve this with the company, politely requesting replacement bulbs.
My request was answered with rude, insulting comments, repeatedly suggesting that I did not care for the bulbs properly. As a master gardener with multiple awards for my plants and flowers I feel I have knowledge about growing a variety of plants/bulbs and I made a sincere effort to care for these lilly bulbs as directed.
Any attempt to receive a reasonable replacement was refused by the company. Be very cautious, their products may look good but their customer is some of the WORST I have ever experienced.

I ordered Messenger from this company over a month ago, and I have never recieved it, nor recieved any correspondence about it, nor had my email answered. I ordered from another source two weeks after I had ordered from this company and it was delivered within the week. I would not recommend this company for timely shipments nor keeping you informed about your order.
I am always curious about the statements companies make regarding guarantee/replacements for dissatisfaction etc. I ordered and planted an amaryllis belladonna from this company last year. When the plant did not sprout this spring and I contacted them they were pleasant and truthful about saying that it should have shown up by now and probably did rot. But when asked about replacement, they said they did not have any left, otherwords tough luck. My feeling is that a responsible, well intended company that would like to keep you as a customer should say sorry we are out and what can we do to offer you something else to keep you coming back as a customer. They did not.
In the past B & D Lilies has had a problem with carelessness in order preparation. I ordered 12 daylilies from them in Fall 1999. Two plants were received with unattached labels and another label fell off soon after I removed the plants from the box. One of the labeled daylilies took a second year to bloom and when it did, it was absolutely the wrong color. When does a white variety become red, and I still don't the variety name. I won't recommend B & D Lilies to anyone.

I am very sorry that you had an unfavorable experience with my company, B&D Lilies. There is no excuse for sloppiness in any industry. If you will refer to the positive comment by "polywogk", you may understand the circumstances a bit more for that time period. The employee in question, for whatever the motive behind their dishonest work ethic, was replaced the next spring when we had hard evidence of misconduct. I have no computer notes regarding your order; and three years later, any paper trail would have been destroyed for your privacy. Did you contact us about the shipment, but more importantly, did we make it right? If you will email me I will be glad to make amends, even at this late date.
