I was so excited to receive my seeds yesterday!! I plan on using some of them for winter sowing. They arrived promptly & I love the "bonus" pack of seeds (thank you!!). I also loved the the snowflake sticker on the outside of the shipping envelope & the colorful stamps on the receipt. Those special touches are so nice. I will update again when my seeds start to emerge this spring.

This is my second year ordering from The Sample Seed Shop. I can't say enough good things about this place: awesome prices, great varieties (especially tomatoes and flowers), quick shipping, nice little seed envelopes, very helpful descriptions in the online catalog. The only down side may be that the seeds are so cheap and the varieties offered are so appealing that it's very easy to get carried away and order too much! I got excellent germination on everything I started last year (it's a little early to report on this year's seed). The bonus packs of seeds are fabulous: last year I got some Orange Minsk tomato seeds as a bonus, and now it's my favorite orange tomato of all time! I can't wait to try this year's bonus tomato seed. The best part is it seems like Remy chooses a bonus pack of seeds to compliment the rest of the order, which is a really nice touch. Highly recommended!!

You have to appreciate descriptions that sound like they come from a gardener and not a salesman. She has the biggest variety I've seen of odd colored and shaped tomatoes and at $1.25 a pack, I ordered more than I have room for as well as some peppers. I had to make a second order a few days later because the wife thought we should grow more than salsa ingredients. Both orders were shipped with bonus seeds that were hand picked based on what I had ordered and both were right on the money as far as matching my preferences.

Sample has a reasonable offering of both veggie and flower seeds at budget prices, so that one can experiment with new varieties without breaking the bank.
I ordered several flower and vegetable seeds from Sample last year and had mixed results, some very good but a few had disappointing germination. I didn't complain to the company since I didn't know if it was the seed or my planting practices that were to blame, but I did mention one problem in a discusion on a garden web site. Evidently the Sample people browsed that site, since they subsequently sent me a replacement packet on their own.
While I was going to order more seeds from them this spring anyway, their generous concern for their customers is very heartening.
Great selection of seeds and I really like the descriptions. The affordability of Remy's seeds allowed me to try out some new things this year, which I really appreciated! She sent extra seeds, which was a wonderful touch! I'm already planning on what I want to order next year and wondering what's she going to add! Thank you Remy for a great experience!!
Incredibly low prices, great selection, & prompt shipping. The website is minimal, but I don't need fancy pages. I bought perennial flower seeds for winter sowing. Can't wait to get them in the ground. Best prices I've found on the web, and I've looked.

Received my order within a week. Remy is very very generous with the seed and that is greatly appreciated--tomato seeds are officially 15 per pack but the ones I've counted so far are closer to 25. She has such an array of tomato seed varieties (and peppers, flowers, squash, etc.) with helpful descriptions of each one, that at $1 a package I can afford to experiment and discover. Thank you, Remy!

Fantastic experience. Nice personal touch. Great germination. Could not be happier and will use Remy's company every year. I almost hate to add to the avalanche of positive reviews, because I'd like to keep this well kept secret to myself.

I just received my third order from The Sample Seed Shop. Remy has a large selection of both uncommon and common annuals and perennials at very low prices and with reasonable shipping charges. She has expanded her selection of vegetables, too.
I had excellent germination on all of my seeds last year. The seed counts in all packs exceeded the listed count.
I would recommend The Sample Seed as a go to first seed source for any gardener .

I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer at The Sample Seed Shop. Amazing selection, wonderful prices, speedy speedy shipping, free seeds included in order, well packaged (loved the snowflake stickers on the envie), etc.... There is nothing they can do better.
I look forward to many years and many orders with The Sample Seed Shop.

The service was fantastic. I had put in two seperate orders and they caught that, verified that they were both my orders and then refunded the shipping for the second order. Most people I've worked with would not have gone the extra mile. They have earned a very loyal customer in me.

Have ordered several times over the last couple of months after reading all the positive reviews here on DG. Each time I've had a positive experience, with the number of seeds per packet far exceeding the "official" number listed, free packets included with each order, and pricing being very reasonable for everything on the site. Remy also answers questions quickly and in a very friendly manner. I'm just getting around to starting to plant everything I've ordered (spending way too much time browsing on the website), but I'm sure germination rates will be great as per everyone else's experience. Highly recommend.

I was very happy with my experience. She answered questions I had quickly, and they had some of my favourite cultivars which I had been searching for. It took me a while to find the website, but now it's the first one I will check when looking for something.
She suggested perfect flowers to me, and the bonus packet was an apt choice. The only thing shoppers need to know is that they may have to look up germination instructions online. I do that anyway from multiple sites to feel more sure about doing it right.
I kind of regret not getting a couple of extra packets, but I'll have to wait until next year.
Nice selection of seeds & excellent service. Seeds arrived within days of ordering. Very reasonable prices. Not crazy about paying shipping (I know, I'm still living in the old days...) but hers is in the moderate range & shipping charges now seem to be the rule rather than the exception. I'll update on germ rate in a few months. Overall experience very favorable, will definitely use again. Sk
This shop has become one of my favorite places to buy seed. She has an interesting selection and a good amount of information about the varieties she carries. Shipping has always been fast and service has always been friendly and efficient. I recommend this shop to all of my friends and family.
Remy has a diverse list of tomato seeds from cherries to large beefsteaks and in between at affordable prices. Many have been taste test verified at tomato enthusiast gatherings in her area and in Cincinnati, OH. With Paypal accepted, it doesn't get any easier to have seeds on the way in record time.

When I wrote to Remy asking about Brandywine she was honest and recommended Grosse Cotelee as a favorite over said Brandywine so I ordered it along with another, Yellow Queen. They arrived swiftly, well packaged and with a free pack of seeds for another one I haven't yet tried.

I've already received my 2nd order from The Sample Seed Shop. The first one was a trial, something I do with any new seed source. I was so pleased with my first order that I promptly made a second, much larger order with her! I received the seeds VERY quickly, they are of fantastic quality and well packaged. I've only sown a few so far but they are all germinating nicely! I'm thrilled to have a new seed source from a person that really truly loves gardening and sharing the green. Thanks Remy!!! :)

My seed order arrived today and except for a little glitch trying to order( my lack of computer-ease), it was a very fast transaction. Remy held my hand through it, thank you,Remy. The bonus seeds were ones I've wanted to try.I have nothing but praise for this company that puts so much effort into helping their customers. And the prices can't be beat!

Started my tomato seeds, Rio Grande and Amish Paste, on the 12th and by the 16th they were sprouting. Looking forward to a good tomato season.
