Let me start by saying that I had some serious reservations about ordering from this company after I read these reviews. To my delight--I received my blueberry plants (still don't know what kind they are--they won't tell you) and I followed instructions-planted immediately. They are doing really great so far--flowers on all of them with blueberries to follow! I am an avid gardner so I was confident I could do this correctly. I will say that the man who answered the phone was rude and lacked any selling skills--and I think he will find as years go by that he has to change the way he conducts himself and his business. He also needs to get on the offense in regards to the internet--or his business will suffer-the internet is here to stay. We all know that any company can have issues that present themselves--it's the way that they are corrected and resolved that wins consumer loyalty. We are all human and we don't expect every single transaction to go perfectly. I think we can all agree to that. SO...I make my bid a positive experience, and I am really enjoying those plants!

Some background..I'm real. I don't know what to make of the chatter here or why Demeo rises to the bait, but if you need verification you can write to me at VAjello607@aol.com.
I've purchased from other buyers over the last two years and am considering starting a "U PIC Em". I've learned alot and am almost consumed with becoming a blueberry growers A friend ordered ten plants back in June from Demeo as a present for me.
The bad, DeMeo implied that the plants would be shipped immeiately and asked for an overnite check. Later they would deny this and who knows, maybe it was a mistake on either party. In subsequent conversations, DeMeo said it would be disastrous to ship in the middle of a very hot summer. That's logical, fact is though, it left a bad taste in my mouth and I didn't expect a good experience.
Nevertheless, The plants arrived this week and they were large and they were vigorous.
I planted them yesterday in the midst of a heat wave in my upstate (Delaware County) NY home. Several (the ones that went in first) seemed to wilt and go into shock. I know better but I couldn't wait for cooler weather. Fact is, if they don't make it, I won't be able to blame DeMeo.
I Don't know why they couldn't have provided labels though giving the name of the particular cultivars. In the end , that's my only complaint.
Conclusion: My initial impression is that they were far superior to the plants I'd bought from three other growers. I am mindful that my experience is based only on a one time buy and that for only ten plants, so I can't refute the bad experiences here, only talk about the plants I received.
On October 1st, 2010, grizz299 changed the rating from positive to neutral and added the following:
Since that post I have met with a dead end on trying to find out the name of the plants I received. Remember, unlike all the other companies I've worked with, they were not identified with a band or in anyother way. Emails have not been answered either.
I may have been lucky with the quality of the plants but I think the poor service and atitude is a constant. The undeniable quality of the plants (though I still wish they weren't bareroot) means I can't give them a negative rating, but the attitude means I can't be positive either. On April 20th, 2011, grizz299 changed the rating from neutral to positive and added the following:
As you can see there's a history to this post. The plants that arrived in a late Sept. (early oct.?) heat wave didn't make it. I wrote to DeMeo and their reply was:
"sorry, send us the physical address and we'll gladly mail you replacements."
That's pretty darn good when you consider that I bear at least partial blame because , even though they were shipped in late Autumn, the plants were subject to a brutal heat wave right after they were planted. I set up Shade and watered, but it was too little too late and simpy wasn't enough.
Rest assured , when I put in the two planned U PIC'em's (one in Walton,NY and one in spencer Mass.) DeMeo wlll get the bulk of the business...
I ordered 10 3 year old blueberry plants over the phone. The plants came 5 days later in great shape, ready to plant. They were weeks ahead of my own plantings. The plant price was reasonable. I thought the shipping and handling was pricey since less than $10 of the price was postage, but once I saw the care that was given to the roots balls, I could understand that degree of care takes time and a lot of plastic bags. When I expand my field again I would order from them. I would recommend them highly. I would like to see more ability to order online than just phone. I was also impressed that the plants were raised organically. My farm is committed to organic methods.
The Beginning part of April 2011 I decided to add some bushes to my commercial blueberry operation and I found Dimeo Farms online and called Anthony Dimeo, and left a message and just like the message said, he calledl back within 24 hrs. I told him what I was looking for and what what kind of operation I had and he invited me up to see their operation. I flew to New Jersey to purchase 200 three year old Blueberry Bushes, I booked a round trip ticket from Tn to Pa and drove from the airport to their farm to learn about his operation and to the purchase bushes. I was planning on driving back the next week to pick them up BUT when I got there I was so blown away with the operation that I ended up purchasing 1000 bushes and canceling my flight back to rent a U-Haul and drive them back. Anthony was very helpful, he drove us around their farm and took almost all day showing me what they did and why they did it that way. He even took me to the U-Haul business to rent the truck and waited until I got it squared away. Since we only brought a check for 200 bushes he even took us by his bank to help speed up the process so we could get back home as soon as possible. Since I have been home I have already ordered 500 smaller bushes for resale at our business as well as pre ordered 1000 more 3 year old bushes for the fall. The 500 bushes were shipped the day after they were ordered which was awsome and if our wonderful government run postal service would not have been so slow, I could have had them within a few days, but hey it's the government, what else would you expect! Anthony was nothing but professional and helpful throughout the whole process. I will not be doing business with anyone else but him. I have found that the Blueberry business is full of people who have no clue as to what they are talking about but HE KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT HE IS DOING! I can not say enough positive things about him and his operation, look forward to doing more business in the future.

Towards the end of last summer I drove out to Dimeo Farm to get some blueberry bushes. When my mom told me the price ($10 for a 3 year old bush) of the bushes I thought they were going to be puny little bushes but they were big, bushy and over three foot tall. Although it was impossible to see out the back window of my car, I was eager to get home and plant these healthy looking plants.
I worried during our very snowy winter if I had planted the bushes correctly or if I should have covered them some way to protect them from the snow. However, two weeks ago when mother nature teased us with a hint of spring I went out back and discovered that my blueberry bushes were leafing out. I can't wait to eat all the yummy blueberries I will get from these plants this year.

Interesting. I kinda wish I saw this earlier. I am new to the mail order plant thing and have found this site immensely interesting. I've recently inherited a farm and am in the process of converting it from a cattle to a fruit-picking farm. I came across DiMeo's website and decided that seeing as how I'm about 3.5 hours away, I was going to use them for the majority of my blueberry bushes. In addition, I was going to order from every site around and blog on my experience with mail order trees.
I have nothing negative or positive to say about Mr. DiMeo at this time. The first time I called he was too busy to talk but promptly called me back when things were quieter. He discussed the economics of farming and was informative. I placed an order with him for pickup for 130 trees that I will be driving down and picking up tomorrow - 5 of the 10 year old trees, 20 of the 3 year olds, and 100 of the 1.5 year olds.
Some of these trees are for the farm, and a few are for a friend who wants blueberries at home. I've watched the videos extensively (including his videos on youtube) and expect to receive trees comparable to the ones I've seen in the video. I wont base my future on flimsy mail order trees like I've received thus far from the places I've checked out.
I currently have about 140 trees from all over - from mail order (blah) to Home Depot (more blah) to Lowe's - (so far surprisingly excellent trees). I'm driving down to pick up quality trees and I will be leaving with quality trees as well, or leaving empty-handed with a follow-up here.
I know my post does not rate the mail order aspect of DiMeo Farms - but it will speak to the quality of his trees. So far I can attest that the customer service aspect has been excellent and arriving tomorrow to find the negative posts to be right will be a tremendous disappointment (because who wants to spend a seven hour roundtrip to come back empty-handed -even though it is near Atlantic City I'll be with my elderly father).
On March 17th, 2011, zaphod1130 changed the rating from neutral to positive and added the following:
Okay -a long day and a lot of driving. DiMeo Farms.
I changed my order on the way down to 12 of the $55 premium trees which are excellent. Mr. DiMeo took my dad and I for a drive around the farm while he tracked down his workers who were on lunch. I took a picture of one of his black raspberry plants and sent it to a friend who is a chef who grows all the produce she uses. She has been having a hard time finding black raspberry plants. She texted back and asked me to get her three - then I bought one red and one black raspberry for myself.
Mr. DiMeo was very informative and nice. My father in particular liked him very much. "He looked at me the whole time he was talking to me - like I was someone. I didn't expect that out of such a young man." My dad is getting old and often feels like nobody is giving him the time of day - so it was a good impression for my dad. Myself - i was preoccupied with my schedule, my own thoughts - and texts from my wife and I missed that aspect of the conversation completely.
My personal opinion is that Mr. DiMeo comes across very personable but a little defensive - unsure why some questions were being asked or what my intentions were - which I'm not sure matter - they certainly didn't to me. What I felt was that this man has certainly weathered a lot of undue harassment and it's a shame that he should have to. He's very knowledgeable and does not run a mail order business - these are farmers plain and simple - have been running their farm for years and Mr. DiMeo's expansion into the online market has probably earned him undue criticism because let's face it - it's easy to criticize online.
It's a great farm and a great product and I'll buy from him again. If you can get there and get the big trees - do it. The raspberry trees were excellent as well.
So that's my honest two cents. Nice man - nice farm - nice product. I will be back there again to buy more trees as I expand my own farm.
I'll be blogging on the progress of my trees so if anyone wants to see what I bought and how they fair - let me know.
This farm deserves a positive review because back in early April 2010, I ordered 12 plants as a house warming gift for my friend up North Carolina. As soon as she got them in the mail, she called me and said "They are so GORGEOUS!"
She said that she was so impressed how big the plants were and that they had nice thick stems and roots. She really appreciated the special note the farmer wrote for me inside. They said that if I wanted to include a special note with the plants that they would take the time to do that for me. I thought was really sweet and it was a great special touch that made all the difference!
This farm sent my friend really beautiful plants. She said they are all still living and doing great. I would recommend that you do business with this farm. I have already recommended them to quite a few of my friends already. I would give this farm a five star rating: Very easy ordering, great customer service with an experienced farmer, great pricing, super on-time shipping, and lovely plant stock. I'd order from them again.
On March 17th, 2011, RebeccaCovey added the following:
Got off the phone with my friend today and she said all of her plants are looking beautiful. They all made it through the winter season. So I just ordered again from this farm and send plants to another one of my friends. I recommend this nursery cause they send out really nice plants.
I said I would order again and today I did. Great customer service today Ė such nice people. They still have GREAT PRICING and I highly recommend doing business with this family farm.
I bought a half dozen plants to put behind my house. It was a fun backyard project for myself and the kids. I was very skeptical about having the berries shipped from so far away (I'm in Alaska), but a friend from Vermont insisted that I should give this seller a try. I wasn't disappointed. I've had the plants about a year and they are looking great. Good seller.

I am extremely pleased with my first purchase from DiMeo Farms..
Having been disappointed in plants received via mail order, I no longer order plants via shipping methods.
I have been spoiled by a local garden center who has not had blueberry bushes in their inventory. I am going to recommend DiMeo Farms to them.
Since I was visiting my yournger daughter who lives 30 miles from DiMeo Farms, I suggested that we take a drive there to buy some blueberry bushes ... I said if you drive ... I will buy.
I purchased five beautiful blueberry bushes ($10/bush). They carefully loaded the plants into the back seat of her car. Anthony DiMeo provided us with planting instructions.
The shortest bush height is four feet. They were in 3 gallon pots. I do not think we could have placed another bush in the back. I let my daughter keep 3 bushes .... I have the other 2 to plant next to the 2 sorry looking ones obtained through mail order.
On September 21st, 2010, merrymath added the following:
It seems strange that the sick pup did not d-mail me before making his last comment about DiMeo Blueberry Farm.
I did notice that he/she is not a subscribe DG member.
DiMeo Farms appears to be family run. If you plan on picking up your bushes personally, you need to phone and make an appointment .... this way they can insure that there is someone available for the transaction.
All the bushes that I saw on my visit were robust and healthy. If I decide to purchase more blueberry bushes they will only be from one place ... DiMeo Blueberry Farm.
I even recommended Dimeo Blueberry Farm to my favorite garden center (Fairless Garden Center). So Anthony if they contact you ... you will know it was because of me.
Also, you may be receiving a call from my daughter in North Carolina if she finds time from her busy schedule to plant blueberry bushes. She and her hubby run a music business ... they work 6 days a week ... very long hours ... that way they do not have to work 8 hours/day ... 5 days a week for somebody else.
If anyone wants more info they can always d-mail me.On February 25th, 2011, merrymath added the following:
When my daughter in N Carolina notified me today that she wanted blueberry bushes and asked for advice, I immediately thought of Dimeo Farms .... if Anthony, the owner, has any punny bushes ... he did a great job hiding them when daughter in NJ and I visited to purchase our blueberry bushes. It is difficult for me to comprehend there being even one negative review. I'm estatic that I choose to purchase from Dimeo! ^-^On March 16th, 2011, merrymath added the following:
The other day, I wanted to use the WATCHDOG to see what comments there were for a website that has some lily bulbs I want to purchased and noticed as I scrolled down that there were recent reviews about DIMEO FARM.
At the time, I wanted to add to my review ... but then I recalled that Anthony had jars of honey for sale when my daughter and I visited and purchased his wonderful blueberry bushes .... I wanted to know if it was RAW honey .... so I e-mailed Anthony and asked ..... IT IS RAW HONEY .... not processed like what is in the supermarkets .... raw honey is so beneficial ... http://www.angelfire.com/az/sthurston/honeyandcinnamon.html
My younger daughter is so very pleased with the blueberry bushes she received from Anthony. She was concern when they lost their leaves for the winter .... now she's excited because they are starting to leaf out.
If you plan on visiting Anthony's farm ..... use yahoo maps directions .... we had the map directions .... and used a GPS .... THE GPS really took us out of the way.

You know, every once in a great, great while someone like DiMeo comes along and fully restores your faith in the idea that there are still really good, honest people out there. This farm is that kind of business. They are good people. Iíve been buying plants directly from and doing business with this family for over 12 years as of this past October.
They always go the extra mile to make sure you're happy with what you get. They always have taken time to return our phone calls, even if itís on a Sunday afternoon. Not to mention that my many conversation with them have always been packed with great information. This farm has shipped me over 8,000 plants over the years and the plants were well packed, wrapped and they ALWAYS, ALWAYS arrive in great shape and very quickly. They were extremely helpful and have always exceeded our expectations over the past many years.
These farmers, including Mike and Tony, helped me get my pick-your own business going. We are firm believers in this supplier and will be repeat customers as long as we remain in business.
What else can I say -- GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT PLANTS.
On March 14th, 2011, thelawnwolf added the following:
Always a pleasure doing business with you, Tony. We look forward to receiving our next order. We'll be talking to you again soon.
My experience with this farm and nursery was PERFECT!!
I have ordered from other mail order sources but I was very pleased with the ease of ordering (by phone with a real person to answer questions fast), the simplicity of the ordering process and the arrival of the ever so carefully, very tenderly packaged huge berry plants that arrived in superb condition, far better than if I had to lug them all the way home from the from the local corner nursery - who actually didn't have organic plants like this farm did. Plus the local nursery plants were MUCH smaller.
The plants I received in the mail from this farm were a fabulous set of 21 beauties that each came in healthy and fresh, well watered and very alive with life...They were much BIGGER than I expected (over 3 feet tall!) with planting instructions included.
It is evident from the packaging of the plants that the farmers/owners are passionate about what they do. They even included a cute little "thank you" note with my plants signed by the farmer. I thought that was so sweet. An extra little touch that made all the difference for me. I will most certainly be ordering from them again very soon...I give this farm TWO GREEN THUMBS UP !!
Good luck and happy berry plantings fellow gardeners!!!!
p.s. My friend recommended this farm to me and I'm glad he did. I'm going to recommend this farm for sure to my friends and family. I think I will try some of their raspberry plants next time I order...or maybe even cranberry plants.. I'm not sure just yet.
Excellent value and super positive experience. I would highly recommend. I canít wait for spring to arrive and for all this snow to melt. Although my berry plants are wintering over very nicely Ė just as DBF said they would. Iím so excited. We got our 25 berry plants from DiMeo and planted this past fall. There should seriously be an option here on DG to indicate a "Super Positive" experience because thatís exactly my experience with DiMeo. The farm calls you to answer all your planting questions and make sure the plant delivery time works for you. As for their berry plants, they are larger and healthier than you will expect. I was thrilled to see the high-quality of the berry plants. Their beautiful plants were over 3í tall when they arrived, with nice thick multi-branched stems, very healthy and much larger than the plants of any other online sources.
I would look to DiMeo first for any berry plant you are considering ordering. Fantastic plants, terrific service from a friendly farm staff. Communication was excellent. Packaging is very careful and shipping was fast. Amanda was so nice and my pleasure to speak with. This farm is best! You cannot go wrong with DiMeo. They sent me by far the biggest, healthiest plants I've ever received by mail. In fact, they are even MUCH bigger and healthier than most of the mature plants I saw locally.
At first, I thought that these plants were a little on the expensive side. But now, having seen them, I don't think that's true. DiMeo's plants are just as they describe "premium berry plants" that are very much worth the price.
My family and I just visited Dimeo Blueberry Farms and had a great visit. Anthony was not only helpful on the phone when I called to get information but he greeted us when we arrived and helped us pick the blueberries, raspberries and cranberries that we needed. This is our first time planting and our two little girls are looking forward to this adventure.
Thank you Dimeo Farms!
On Mar 6, 2011, Dimeo Blueberry Farms responded with:
Thank you Mrs. Morrison, we value your business and thank you for your kind words. Hope the pictures of your two little girls on our tractor came out well. If you have time, please e-mail us a copy so that we can post it to our website for over customers to appreciate.
Looking foward to your next farm visit. Feel free to call us anytime with any questions.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - PERFECT INTERNET EXERIENCE WITH THIS FARM & NURSERY
This is the first time I have ordered from this farm. Decided to order based on the positive reviews here on Dave's Garden. The ordering process was very easy. When I received my order this week, and planted the material, I was pleasantly surprised. All 20 plants I received looked very mature, healthy and vibrant. Everyone of the plants are healthy and thriving--all are some of the largest plants I have every gotten in the mail -- beautiful, full plants, tall with multiple thick stems!
I have been an avid gardener almost my whole entire life and have ordered plenty of product many times, just not from this farm. I'm glad I gave them a try because these truly are the best looking plants I have ever received. Thank you for the quality product and hard work you put into your farm.....BTW...Amanda was very helpful on the phone and so helpful with all my planting questions. Excellent customer service with a personal touch.
The prices are also great. I couldn't be happier. I will not even think about using another nursery for my berries and small fruits. Great company in my book!
On December 7th, 2010, mikecornus added the following:
Without any question, the quality of this farm's plants is the finest that I have ever ordered from any source. All 20 of my plants are still looking great.
I already referred 2 of my friends to this farm - they bought had only great things to say about the plant size and quality the received. I'm very happy.
Will be ordering again. On February 15th, 2011, mikecornus added the following:
I totally disagree with the negative posts.
These farmers are the real deal: (1) very knowledgeable, (2) always helpful, (3) wonderfully pleasant. I too ordered by telephone instead of e-mail (as they have no online purchasing option on the site) and I learned a lot more just chatting with one of the farmers. Because they specialize in premium plants, I got a lot of very useful information just chatting during the 5 min. ordering process on the telephone. It was well worth it. The plants were very large at least 3' foot multi-branched plants and arrived in perfect condition and were so well packaged. The prices for my plants were more than fair. I'm a big fan and I will continue to recommend this farm and nursery.
p.s. Every single one of my friends who ordered from this farm had nothing but GREAT things to say about them so I seriously don't believe the negative remarks. I think most of them are fake - no doubt. On March 3rd, 2011, mikecornus added the following:
Now It's springtime now and my plants from last year are blooming. I'm pretty excited and ordered (20) more (3) year old plants. Anthony is very knowledgeable and helped me with planting correctly. On March 4th, 2011, mikecornus added the following:
I just read some of these posts and the negative ones don't at all make sense compared to the good advise and plants I've gotten from the this farm. By the way and not to sound rude but a person with a little experience knows not to attempt a bare root transplant in the middle of summer.

Just completed an order and pick up of 5 blueberry plants from the company. My experience was outstanding. I've spoken with them via email all week and they answered my questions in a prompt and courteous manner. I scheduled to pick up the 5 plants today and my personal experience with Anthony was great. I was allowed to choose any plant I wanted and the the plants are huge, multibranched and very healthy. You can't beat the 10 dollar price. I was given planting instructions and Anthony answered every question I had. We even talked about families. It is great to see a family run business such as theirs and I would definately recommend them to others.
This was my first experience with Dimeo Farms and it was extremely positive. Its a family run farm and I was treated as a very valuable customer even thought I was only purchasing 5 blueberry plants. I was met at the entrance and from there I was shown plants that met my specifications and then I picked out which plants I wanted. The plants are 3 years old, of excellent quality and the price is great at only $10.00. I would definitely return there and refer friends there.
After reading all the unpleasant ratings, I felt compelled to provide my own experience. This past fall I ordered six blueberry plants to celebrate an anniversary. The order taker was polite and did his best to educate me about my purchase. I mailed the farm a check and voila, 3 days later I received a box with my beautiful, strong plants. The peat around the roots still had bits of ice clinging to it! I cannot overstate how happy I am with my purchase- I urge anyone else to order if you want beautiful blueberry bushes for your garden.
The eperience at the farm was enjoyable. I dealt with Anthony DiMeo on the phone and set up a time to drive to the farm. My wife and I drove out there on a sunday in February, and was met immediately when we pulled in. Mrs DiMeo went over the varieties they had to offer. There were tons of plants to choose from. I ended up getting 16 plants to make a hedge with. The plants were really nice sized with good firm trunks (most stood over 3 ft tall from the pot they were in). Better than I had expected. (I was expecting to see the smaller sizes that I have seen at the regular flower shops). It was great to be able to pick the monster plants out of the bunch, so I definitely recommend driving to the site if at all possible. I am already planning to go back and get some of the blackberry bushes and more blueberry bushes for the guys at work.

They have a great website... lots of helpful information on there and it was just a breeze to call in my mail order on the phone. They also sent me nice printed planting instructions which really helped with my planting. Very fast shipping... they delivered exactly when I asked them to. Actually, the plants came in the mail one day early, so be ready. I am super thrilled! These were the healthiest plants I've ever seen. Plants arrived with lush colors and gobs and gobs of big roots. I was able to put them in the ground right away. The plants are going dormant now for fall but they they are still absolutely gorgeous! Very strong, happy plants... a deep, rich, lush colors, and already growing amazingly fast. I can't wait to place another mail order with them next spring...I agree with other positive posters.

Everyone I spoke with was extremely polite and helpful. I was also given very detailed written instructions on how to plant and take care of my berries. Within a few days of my purchase I received a follow up email making sure I was happy and checking to see if I need any additional help or info. I couldnít be happier with the experience. This is a very professional high end group.
I'm an average home owner and I have ordered berry plants many times in year's past from other plant companies. After reading the below positve postings and reviews here and on MerchantCircle I decided to mail order from this farm. I ordered 20 plants. They were the finest, most vigorous plants with the best root systems I have ever received from any company. All the plants have lived and are growing fast, strongly in my city garden as a nice 3' high hedge on the side of my yard. I will never order another plant from anyone else other than this farm. They are the best. I recommend them, yes.
I read the below comment from "1SickPupppy" and I question if it is actually a real legitimate review. The words in this review sound more like a personal attack if anything. Forensics? It did not take forensics for me to click on your Dave's Garden profile just now to see that in your history, you made positive reviews for only one particular competitor of this farm. Attacking reviews of this farm, but only all postive reviews of another in the same business? Humm. Interesting. Sounds like you are a friend of the competitor plant company.
Happily, I do live only 45 mins from this farm. This past weekend, I drove there myself to pick up more plants and to pick fresh berries. My report is postive. Great farm. Great owners. Great plants. Should anyone doubt my words, they can feel free to e-mail me directly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FARM and encourage others go and see it. It's worth the ride.
Sadly, the only joke on here is the below "1SickPupppy" who's screen name obviously describes him best. This is a website for gardening not personal attacks as such below.
My business partner and I own a large retail nursery and we have been buying wholesale plants from this family farm for over 22 years.
Our customers love the plants we buy from this farm. I mean, they really love the plants. Almost the very second we run out of them, my partner and I start getting phone calls about when we are getting more in stock again. Our customers actually call to ask for these plants. The plants are beautiful full plants and they are in nice large pots which makes it easy for us to load and for our customers to handle.
I canít even tell you how many years we have sold out of these plants mid-season and actually had to go out to pick up another 2,500 plants to stock our inventory again.
This is definitely one family and product that I have depended on for years. They have never let us down and they have always grown and sold us far superior plants.
We know this company is a family farm that truly cares about its customers. I value our long relationship and we are proud to give them our recommendation.

I can't say enough good things about this farm in New Jersey. This past weekend, I took a ride out to the farm with my wife and kids.
Everyone was so excited as we went on a Sunday afternoon. The owner took the time to meet us on a Sunday which I was impressed with. He showed us around some of the farm and his huge nursery. All of the plants were beautiful and he let my children pick berries and didn't even charge us. He even gave us some of his homemade jam, and he gave my kids some honey to take home with them - free of charge. That was so nice and unexpected.
We picked out our plants and he took the time to give us detailed planting instructions and invited us to come back for hayrides in the fall with our children.
Not only was I impressed with the farm (it's so beautiful and huge) but the quality of product that this farm has is indeed impressive. Our plants are now in the ground and they look beautiful. They are full and big and better than any plants I have seen at any of my local stores.
It was definitely worth taking the ride out to the farm. Thank you from all of us for your hospitality and kindness. We will be coming again next year to get more plants. My kids are still talking about the farm and what a great time they had.

Yes, I recommend this farm.
I made my first purchase from this farm this year. Plants were quickly shipped. All plants were large and very well packed. Absolutely no stress or damage during shipping. My fiance and I were impressed. Of all the mail-order online nursery/garden retailers I've bought from over the years, I have to say that the largest plants came from this farm.
All of the plants were healthy and had really nice roots. I planted them and they took off quickly. We are already getting loads of berries on the plants!!
I am very impressed and happy with what I received from DBF. We will be buying from this company again.
This farm has some of the most beautiful plants we have ever seen sold direct to home gardeners like myself. Plus the owners of this family farm are excellent business-people to do business with and just good people overall.
I ordered from them on the basis of very high recommendations from my friend Jennifer and also all the great customer reviews on another website called Merchant Circle, which highly recommends the farm.
The farmer contacted me almost immediately by email with a quote and then they promptly followed up with a phone call to complete my order. The plants arrived very, very quickly --- and they were beautiful, lush, healthy Ė and just wonderful plants. And at great price too. Actually the best price I found. Great deal.
These guys get a definite HIGH RECOMMENDATION from me and my family. They're wonderful people and I hope to visit the farm some day soon when I head out in that direction.I ordered plants from another online company in the past and received nothing but junk in the mail Ė but I have nothing but POSITIVE PRAISE for this family business. I am impressed.
After reading some of the below, it bothers me when people try to "bash" good companies run by good people and families. It seems like we should be promoting our BEST mail-order sources, rather than demoting them.
I also feel that just because an angry or hateful person says something about a company, doesn't mean it's true. Especially when the source is bitter with another obvious agenda. Our comments should be real, truthful, and posted to better serve the gardening community and not an individual ego, or the sometimes greedy pockets of another online competitor.

A WONDERFUL FARM WITH BEAUTIFUL PLANTS!!!
I have ordered plants many times in the past from other companies, but after hearing such GREAT POSTIVE STORIES from several of my good friends who also bought from this farm, I decided to order from them and go to pick-up my plants at the farm one Saturday afternoon.
I ordered 35 plants on the phone. The customer service was the best... the girl on the phone was so nice and I enjoyed talking with her. I had some tough questions, and the farmer quickly called me back to answer them himself. I was very impresed.
I reserved the plants and then went to pick them up on the farm. I must say that they were the finest, most vigorous plants with the most solid root systems I have ever bought. Thus far all have lived and are growing strongly in my home garden. Our family is so excited. I will never order a plant from anyone else. They are simply the best. They are great people and treated me very well.
They loaded the plants in my vehicle with care and were remarkably fast. They wrapped and packaged the plants with care and gave me planting instructions. I planted them immediately and much to my surprise, I had lots of vibrant green shoots coming up within only a week. I am VERY HAPPY to have found this farm and I will certainly be a repeat customer in the future!
My friends and I are all very happy with our plant purchases from this farm and we will continue to spread the good word to other people.
