Their product is seconded to none. I've purchased allot of landscaping and gardening plants online, from the box stores and local greenhouses and never saw such healthy blueberry bushes. My wife a graduate of Delaware Valley College Science and Agriculture was also impressed. My order was a small one only 6 plants and complicated because I order early January, for delivery in April and the weather in early April still too cold and snowy to plant. There was no problem with pushing back my delivery date. I would note to do ship U.S. Mail so keep that in mind when placing your order or ask to have your order shipped UPS or FedX.

Let me start by saying that I had some serious reservations about ordering from this company after I read these reviews. To my delight--I received my blueberry plants (still don't know what kind they are--they won't tell you) and I followed instructions-planted immediately. They are doing really great so far--flowers on all of them with blueberries to follow! I am an avid gardner so I was confident I could do this correctly. I will say that the man who answered the phone was rude and lacked any selling skills--and I think he will find as years go by that he has to change the way he conducts himself and his business. He also needs to get on the offense in regards to the internet--or his business will suffer-the internet is here to stay. We all know that any company can have issues that present themselves--it's the way that they are corrected and resolved that wins consumer loyalty. We are all human and we don't expect every single transaction to go perfectly. I think we can all agree to that. SO...I make my bid a positive experience, and I am really enjoying those plants!

Since that post I have met with a dead end on trying to find out the name of the plants I received. Remember, unlike all the other companies I've worked with, they were not identified with a band or in anyother way. Emails have not been answered either.
I may have been lucky with the quality of the plants but I think the poor service and atitude is a constant. The undeniable quality of the plants (though I still wish they weren't bareroot) means I can't give them a negative rating, but the attitude means I can't be positive either.
On April 20th, 2011, grizz299 changed the rating from neutral to positive and added the following:
As you can see there's a history to this post. The plants that arrived in a late Sept. (early oct.?) heat wave didn't make it. I wrote to DeMeo and their reply was:
"sorry, send us the physical address and we'll gladly mail you replacements."
That's pretty darn good when you consider that I bear at least partial blame because , even though they were shipped in late Autumn, the plants were subject to a brutal heat wave right after they were planted. I set up Shade and watered, but it was too little too late and simpy wasn't enough.
Rest assured , when I put in the two planned U PIC'em's (one in Walton,NY and one in spencer Mass.) DeMeo wlll get the bulk of the business...

I ordered 10 3 year old blueberry plants over the phone. The plants came 5 days later in great shape, ready to plant. They were weeks ahead of my own plantings. The plant price was reasonable. I thought the shipping and handling was pricey since less than $10 of the price was postage, but once I saw the care that was given to the roots balls, I could understand that degree of care takes time and a lot of plastic bags. When I expand my field again I would order from them. I would recommend them highly. I would like to see more ability to order online than just phone. I was also impressed that the plants were raised organically. My farm is committed to organic methods.

The Beginning part of April 2011 I decided to add some bushes to my commercial blueberry operation and I found Dimeo Farms online and called Anthony Dimeo, and left a message and just like the message said, he calledl back within 24 hrs. I told him what I was looking for and what what kind of operation I had and he invited me up to see their operation. I flew to New Jersey to purchase 200 three year old Blueberry Bushes, I booked a round trip ticket from Tn to Pa and drove from the airport to their farm to learn about his operation and to the purchase bushes. I was planning on driving back the next week to pick them up BUT when I got there I was so blown away with the operation that I ended up purchasing 1000 bushes and canceling my flight back to rent a U-Haul and drive them back. Anthony was very helpful, he drove us around their farm and took almost all day showing me what they did and why they did it that way. He even took me to the U-Haul business to rent the truck and waited until I got it squared away. Since we only brought a check for 200 bushes he even took us by his bank to help speed up the process so we could get back home as soon as possible. Since I have been home I have already ordered 500 smaller bushes for resale at our business as well as pre ordered 1000 more 3 year old bushes for the fall. The 500 bushes were shipped the day after they were ordered which was awsome and if our wonderful government run postal service would not have been so slow, I could have had them within a few days, but hey it's the government, what else would you expect! Anthony was nothing but professional and helpful throughout the whole process. I will not be doing business with anyone else but him. I have found that the Blueberry business is full of people who have no clue as to what they are talking about but HE KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT HE IS DOING! I can not say enough positive things about him and his operation, look forward to doing more business in the future.

Towards the end of last summer I drove out to Dimeo Farm to get some blueberry bushes. When my mom told me the price ($10 for a 3 year old bush) of the bushes I thought they were going to be puny little bushes but they were big, bushy and over three foot tall. Although it was impossible to see out the back window of my car, I was eager to get home and plant these healthy looking plants.

Okay -a long day and a lot of driving. DiMeo Farms.
I changed my order on the way down to 12 of the $55 premium trees which are excellent. Mr. DiMeo took my dad and I for a drive around the farm while he tracked down his workers who were on lunch. I took a picture of one of his black raspberry plants and sent it to a friend who is a chef who grows all the produce she uses. She has been having a hard time finding black raspberry plants. She texted back and asked me to get her three - then I bought one red and one black raspberry for myself.
Mr. DiMeo was very informative and nice. My father in particular liked him very much. "He looked at me the whole time he was talking to me - like I was someone. I didn't expect that out of such a young man." My dad is getting old and often feels like nobody is giving him the time of day - so it was a good impression for my dad. Myself - i was preoccupied with my schedule, my own thoughts - and texts from my wife and I missed that aspect of the conversation completely.
My personal opinion is that Mr. DiMeo comes across very personable but a little defensive - unsure why some questions were being asked or what my intentions were - which I'm not sure matter - they certainly didn't to me. What I felt was that this man has certainly weathered a lot of undue harassment and it's a shame that he should have to. He's very knowledgeable and does not run a mail order business - these are farmers plain and simple - have been running their farm for years and Mr. DiMeo's expansion into the online market has probably earned him undue criticism because let's face it - it's easy to criticize online.
It's a great farm and a great product and I'll buy from him again. If you can get there and get the big trees - do it. The raspberry trees were excellent as well.
So that's my honest two cents. Nice man - nice farm - nice product. I will be back there again to buy more trees as I expand my own farm.
I'll be blogging on the progress of my trees so if anyone wants to see what I bought and how they fair - let me know.

I said I would order again and today I did. Great customer service today Ė such nice people. They still have GREAT PRICING and I highly recommend doing business with this family farm.

I bought a half dozen plants to put behind my house. It was a fun backyard project for myself and the kids. I was very skeptical about having the berries shipped from so far away (I'm in Alaska), but a friend from Vermont insisted that I should give this seller a try. I wasn't disappointed. I've had the plants about a year and they are looking great. Good seller.

It seems strange that the sick pup did not d-mail me before making his last comment about DiMeo Blueberry Farm.
I did notice that he/she is not a subscribe DG member.
DiMeo Farms appears to be family run. If you plan on picking up your bushes personally, you need to phone and make an appointment .... this way they can insure that there is someone available for the transaction.
All the bushes that I saw on my visit were robust and healthy. If I decide to purchase more blueberry bushes they will only be from one place ... DiMeo Blueberry Farm.
I even recommended Dimeo Blueberry Farm to my favorite garden center (Fairless Garden Center). So Anthony if they contact you ... you will know it was because of me.
Also, you may be receiving a call from my daughter in North Carolina if she finds time from her busy schedule to plant blueberry bushes. She and her hubby run a music business ... they work 6 days a week ... very long hours ... that way they do not have to work 8 hours/day ... 5 days a week for somebody else.
If anyone wants more info they can always d-mail me.

When my daughter in N Carolina notified me today that she wanted blueberry bushes and asked for advice, I immediately thought of Dimeo Farms .... if Anthony, the owner, has any punny bushes ... he did a great job hiding them when daughter in NJ and I visited to purchase our blueberry bushes. It is difficult for me to comprehend there being even one negative review. I'm estatic that I choose to purchase from Dimeo! ^-^

The other day, I wanted to use the WATCHDOG to see what comments there were for a website that has some lily bulbs I want to purchased and noticed as I scrolled down that there were recent reviews about DIMEO FARM.
At the time, I wanted to add to my review ... but then I recalled that Anthony had jars of honey for sale when my daughter and I visited and purchased his wonderful blueberry bushes .... I wanted to know if it was RAW honey .... so I e-mailed Anthony and asked ..... IT IS RAW HONEY .... not processed like what is in the supermarkets .... raw honey is so beneficial ...
My younger daughter is so very pleased with the blueberry bushes she received from Anthony. She was concern when they lost their leaves for the winter .... now she's excited because they are starting to leaf out.
If you plan on visiting Anthony's farm ..... use yahoo maps directions .... we had the map directions .... and used a GPS .... THE GPS really took us out of the way.

Excellent value and super positive experience. I would highly recommend. I canít wait for spring to arrive and for all this snow to melt. Although my berry plants are wintering over very nicely Ė just as DBF said they would. Iím so excited. We got our 25 berry plants from DiMeo and planted this past fall. There should seriously be an option here on DG to indicate a "Super Positive" experience because thatís exactly my experience with DiMeo. The farm calls you to answer all your planting questions and make sure the plant delivery time works for you. As for their berry plants, they are larger and healthier than you will expect. I was thrilled to see the high-quality of the berry plants. Their beautiful plants were over 3í tall when they arrived, with nice thick multi-branched stems, very healthy and much larger than the plants of any other online sources.

I already referred 2 of my friends to this farm - they bought had only great things to say about the plant size and quality the received. I'm very happy.
Will be ordering again.

I totally disagree with the negative posts.
These farmers are the real deal: (1) very knowledgeable, (2) always helpful, (3) wonderfully pleasant. I too ordered by telephone instead of e-mail (as they have no online purchasing option on the site) and I learned a lot more just chatting with one of the farmers. Because they specialize in premium plants, I got a lot of very useful information just chatting during the 5 min. ordering process on the telephone. It was well worth it. The plants were very large at least 3' foot multi-branched plants and arrived in perfect condition and were so well packaged. The prices for my plants were more than fair. I'm a big fan and I will continue to recommend this farm and nursery.
p.s. Every single one of my friends who ordered from this farm had nothing but GREAT things to say about them so I seriously don't believe the negative remarks. I think most of them are fake - no doubt.

I just read some of these posts and the negative ones don't at all make sense compared to the good advise and plants I've gotten from the this farm. By the way and not to sound rude but a person with a little experience knows not to attempt a bare root transplant in the middle of summer.

Just completed an order and pick up of 5 blueberry plants from the company. My experience was outstanding. I've spoken with them via email all week and they answered my questions in a prompt and courteous manner. I scheduled to pick up the 5 plants today and my personal experience with Anthony was great. I was allowed to choose any plant I wanted and the the plants are huge, multibranched and very healthy. You can't beat the 10 dollar price. I was given planting instructions and Anthony answered every question I had. We even talked about families. It is great to see a family run business such as theirs and I would definately recommend them to others.

This was my first experience with Dimeo Farms and it was extremely positive. Its a family run farm and I was treated as a very valuable customer even thought I was only purchasing 5 blueberry plants. I was met at the entrance and from there I was shown plants that met my specifications and then I picked out which plants I wanted. The plants are 3 years old, of excellent quality and the price is great at only $10.00. I would definitely return there and refer friends there.

After reading all the unpleasant ratings, I felt compelled to provide my own experience. This past fall I ordered six blueberry plants to celebrate an anniversary. The order taker was polite and did his best to educate me about my purchase. I mailed the farm a check and voila, 3 days later I received a box with my beautiful, strong plants. The peat around the roots still had bits of ice clinging to it! I cannot overstate how happy I am with my purchase- I urge anyone else to order if you want beautiful blueberry bushes for your garden.

The eperience at the farm was enjoyable. I dealt with Anthony DiMeo on the phone and set up a time to drive to the farm. My wife and I drove out there on a sunday in February, and was met immediately when we pulled in. Mrs DiMeo went over the varieties they had to offer. There were tons of plants to choose from. I ended up getting 16 plants to make a hedge with. The plants were really nice sized with good firm trunks (most stood over 3 ft tall from the pot they were in). Better than I had expected. (I was expecting to see the smaller sizes that I have seen at the regular flower shops). It was great to be able to pick the monster plants out of the bunch, so I definitely recommend driving to the site if at all possible. I am already planning to go back and get some of the blackberry bushes and more blueberry bushes for the guys at work.

Everyone I spoke with was extremely polite and helpful. I was also given very detailed written instructions on how to plant and take care of my berries. Within a few days of my purchase I received a follow up email making sure I was happy and checking to see if I need any additional help or info. I couldnít be happier with the experience. This is a very professional high end group.
