Received my new order today from New Garden Plants, 23 plants in all, 11 annuals and 12 perennials + a bonus plant. They were all perfectly packed, thank goodness because the FedEx guy literally threw the box. Beautiful, large, healthy plants and not a leaf broken. I highly recommend New Garden Plants.Thank you again Pete. I\\\'ll be back again…

Received my 2016 order first week of May. As always all the plants were packed and shipped perfectly, 15 annuals, 9 perennials. Beautiful, healthy plants and the bonus ice plant was a wonderful surprise. Thank you once again Pete!

Received this years order the end of April, 15 annuals, 1 perennial "Silver Gumdrop" heuchera. As always from this company all plants perfectly packed, large, healthy and beautiful. These are not teeny weeny plants so many other companies ship. Highly recommended company. Thank you once again Pete.

Got three "Miss Molly" butterfly bushes and a free "Autumn Blush" coreopsis from this company. They arrived quickly, on a day of 90-degree heat, very well boxed and packaged, hydrated, and completely gung-ho to grow when I planted them. On the same day, I received three other plants (two Siberian iris bulbs and an ice plant) from Park Seed. There was no comparison; the PS bulbs were okay because they were very well packaged in moist straw and saran wrap, but still not in as good of a condition as NGP's offerings. The PS ice plant is a total goner. I'll be ordering my plants from Pete in the future!

I just received my 2017 order (three Agastache Salmon & Pink plants) from New GardenPlants and could not be more pleased. The well packed plants are very healthy looking and larger than expected. In my opinion, this is one of the best mail order plants sites around.

I placed an order for three plants on April 10th and decided that same day to add a fourth. The email announcing they'd been shipped came on April 17th and they arrived on my doorstep today, April 19th. All were packed well and very healthy. I was impressed with the size of the plants, especially the Nepeta 'Walker's Low' and Sedum 'Xenox'. I also ordered a Sedum 'Maestro' and added a Sedum 'Autumn Charm.' The free ice plant is also healthy and of a good size. Overall, I was very happy with my experience with NewGardenPlants.com and will definitely order more plants from them in the future!

Iv'e ordered from New Garden Plants before and they've always given me healthy good sized plants. Other companies will send in quart sizes yet you might get a tiny plant which should be in a smaller pot to begin with, so you get a lot of dirt and little plant. New Garden Plants sent me an Echinacea 2.5 times the size with a bud compared to another company with the same size container. They also send free plants and I was happy and surprised to find a wonderful Delosperma Ice Plant, which I missed while searching for perennials. Now that I know what they are I think I'll looking into ordering them and other plants from NGP!

I placed my first ever order on April 7, 2016 for 3 Echinaceas and requested that they ship on April 11. Just as I requested my plants shipped on Apr. 11 and arrived on Apr. 13. After reading all of the negative comments here I was reluctant to buy from them. I gambled and placed an order anyway in hopes that I would get lucky and have a good experience. I can truly say that I wasn't disappointed. I got the 3 Echinaceas that I ordered and a bonus (free) delosperma. All of the Echinaceas were large and had buds. As advertised they are quart sized pots and I got the varieties that I ordered. The only negative is that the pots lost a bit of soil in shipping due to the top of the pots not being fully enclosed. All in all I'd give them an A- and would not hesitate to buy from them again.

I ordered 1 echinacea "Double Scoop Cranberry and 1 echinacea "Secret Love". I ordered them in the winter and designated my shipping date as Apr 20th. They arrived the week of the 20th as I wanted. The packaging was excellent, in fact the best I have ever received! The plants were of good size and very healthy. I planted them out right away and they are both flourishing and have been since they were planted. I only wish I had ordered more of the "Secret Love", as it is so gorgeous. It's sold out online, but I did send Pete and email, and he hopes it will be back in stock by the end of July. I am very satisfied with my order from this company and would order again.

I just completed my first transaction with this company and, overall, I am happy with my purchase. I ordered 12 plants and received a 13th as a free gift. The plants were all potted and each placed inside of it's own brown paper bag with a loose rubber band holding it in place within it's bag. Then they were set down within the box, side by side, and the box marked with which way was up.

I placed a very large order with \'NO SUBSTITUTIONS PLEASE\' as the only comment. Most of the plants were large, healthy and packed well. A couple of the plants were missing quite a bit of potting mix and a couple annuals looked like they had just been started in jiffy peat disks and re-potted. They did not receive one plant from a supplier so they substituted another - despite the fact that \'NO SUBSTITUTIONS\' was printed on the order receipt they enclosed. My emails to them went unanswered so I had to call my credit card to start a refund.

They finally answered my email and sent the plant I had originally ordered - all the plants are in good shape.

I ordered five Coreopsis, four Agastache and one Beardtongue.
All the plants were healthy and good sized .
They are all doing fine more than a week after planting.

I order hundreds of dollars of plants every year. First time with this company. Perfect! These are nice healthy plants. Great packaging. I will definitely buy from them again. Your company has joined the other 3 companies that I purchase plants from every year. I personally don't see what problem people would have with this company. All I can think of is that some people are very hard to please. This Master Gardener is very Happy. Your company is from my state which makes it even better. I love to support small businesses. Look for another order from me. :D

I placed my first order with NewGarden Plants about 2 months ago. Most of my order were Coneflowers and Hostas. Even though my son forgot to tell me my order had arrived (and been placed in a very hot garage) for three days, the plants looked healthy! All the coneflowers bloomed within weeks and look very healthy. I placed another order recently and was just as pleased. I can not say how customer service is as I had no reason / problems concerning my orders and did not need to contact them. Selection was down somewhat but only because it was nearing the end of the season. I still was able to get varieties not available locally at fair prices.

A few weeks ago, I decided to redo the front of my house & I decided to order from this company, because their plants are usually a lot larger & healthier looking and I was not disappointed. I had the plants the next week, they were awesome looking and as usual they gave me a nice free annual, which looked great and worked well in my front yard. I will continue to do business with them. They're one of the best plant companies around, in my books!!!

I am disappointed to say that this years order included extremely tiny petunia plants with an apology note that I was receiving 15 vs. the 12 I had ordered. It took nearly a full month for these plants to get anywhere near decent size and they are finally producing some flowers. Definitely not what I had in mind. Additionally I wrote to Pete to let him know how disappointed I was in these plants as I have been a customer for several years - and I received NO RESPONSE. Very disappointed to not get the courtesy of a response = you lost a customer.

Within hours of posting my revised comments about this year's order I did hear from Pete at NGP. He offered me replacement plants or a refund. I trust he will make good on this offer and appreciate him contacting me.

I have ordered from New Garden Plants for several years and have never been disappointed. The plants are very well packaged for shipping and arrive exactly when requested. The plants are HUGE! - not what you expect from mail order, They are ready to put in the ground and look like at least a second-year perennial in the garden. I always look forward to the "bonus plant" that is included with every order - an added surprise!

The shipping is outstanding, packed very well, nothing broken, bent or out of the pots. This is a company that you can safely order from on line. The owner seems anxious to please and has always returned my questions promptly. Dan. Florida

Of all the online sites and all the mail order plants I have received this company is the best. I bought from them last year and I bought from them this year. The hydrangeas and echinecea I bought last year are doing beautifully, the lady's mantle and sea holly I bought this year are healthy and happy. The plants arrive in great condition and thrive after planting. A few weeks ago I received two orders, one from New Garden Plants and one from Wayside. The Wayside order arrived a day late after being in the box for 8 days and were dead on arrival. I requested a replacement package and the plants i received were hardly any better. I consider that $100 wasted. I will never order from any one other than New Garden Plants again.

I looked at NGP's decided to wait on ordering because of the Neg's here. Well I bit the bullet and I ordered 3 hard to find Hibiscus plants a few weeks back a few days after I wanted to add one more. Pete added to the same order, so no extra on shipping. I requested ship day 3-10-14. They arrived 3/12/14. The packing was wonderful and the plants looked great. Course they are dormant but could tell they were nice alive plants. The bonus gift was great.

A few weeks ago I decided that I wanted to try and grow some Fuchsia in Florida (apparently I'm a masochist) and settled on NewGardenPlants. They were cheap, have large plants, and a flat(ish) rate shipping policy. So I added everything to my basket, and during checkout I thought I'd be cute and in the "request ship date" box (or whatever it's called) I put "asap please." Of course, to me asap means 'yesterday,' but to a horticulturalist this means 'when conditions are best for the plants to be shipped.' I, being of the internet generation and in perpetual need of instant gratification, paced a furrow in my garden in anticipation. Then, I (ever the whiner) sent an 'gimme my plants ~ waaah' email. The owner's reply explained the shipping and said he would include some additional plants for the inconvenience (you know, the fake one I created in my mind) . Today they arrived, and they are all large, in perfect condition, and the additional plants (which I did not deserve) are numerous. I'll be shopping again soon, and with a specific ship date (for the date field - imagine that) at hand.

I ordered 2 Jack Frost Brunnera from New Garden. When the packaged arrived it was obvious that they thought a lot about how to package plants to protect them. I thought it was unique (maybe not, sort of new to mail ordering live plants) that they hot glued the wrapping paper, that was wrapped around the plant and secured with rubber bands, to the bottom of the box so they were guaranteed to stay upright.

I was very pleasantly surprised when my order arrived. The plants were in perfect condition. They looked healthier than the plants in Lowe's and Home Depot nursery departments. (We don't have a *real* nursery in this little town). Very healthy looking plants and a bonus plant was included that looked just as good as the hollyhocks.

I ordered 3 dianthus raspberry swirl, 3 dianthus brilliant star, and 1 dianthus heart attack. In addition to this I unexpectedly received a stickered "bonus plant" of 1 sedum angelina. Upon opening the box, I was blown away at the amazing packaging job. Not one plant was damaged, literally no soil was to be found outside of the pots (meaning the plants were so well packaged that soil was not tossed all about the box) and the soil was still damp (meaning they had the care and foresight to water prior to shipment). I definitely will order from this company again! Kudos to a great job!
