I got my first order from Maryott's today.
Now, I buy a lot through mail order-- and since I like to garden, naturally a large percentage of those purchases are gardening supplies and plants.
The daylilies I received today were far and away the nicest perennials I have ever received via mail order. I'll go one better: I can't imagine it's possible to receive anything better via mail order.
The plants are huge. I mean, fans the size of my hand (I'm 6'3) huge. And the tops are green. It's obvious that they were growing in the field until they were shipped to me.
The customer service was the same calibre as the plants. The nice personal email confirmation was a welcome touch.
And the gifts...
OK, I know a free fan or two is becoming standard in the industry. And it's a nice practice. But the gifts I received were nearly as many in quantity and higher in total retail price than the plants I paid for.
It's so refreshing to find such an well-run company, determined to provide a top-quality product and excellent service. Bill Maryott and company have done so with aplomb.

I was somewhat hesitant when I placed my order but was totally surprised when I received my daylilies. The plants were healthy and much larger than I expected. The bonus was also quite large and the communication with Marilyn was great. I anticipate a good bloom season next year, no waiting a couple of years for the plants to mature as these are already quite large. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

This is an excellent company to do business with. Very professional. The daylily plants were very large, fresh and green, with well-established root systems. They arrived well-packaged and clean. The generous bonus plants were also much appreciated.
I have ordered from a number of daylily nurseries this past month. I would rank Maryott #1 as for quality of plants, among all of them.

A well deserved reputation. I've ordered from Maryott's at least twice and always gotten large, fresh plants which looked like they were dug up and cleaned right on the day of shipment. Even after travelling cross country, they were still growing in the box and not bothered at all by their confinement. They've all continued to grow and bloom well. He is quite honest about sharing his opinions of various hybrids with you and will let you know if something is slow for him. He has also been quite generous with bonuses. I just wish I had more room for a few more of his things.

I have ordered from these folks before. This time I ordered an expensive daylily by phone. I had had trouble deciding on this one vs. another one. I asked if I, indeed, had any say in what bonus plants I might receive. Bill affirmed I did. I received not only their designated gift plant, but two more, one of which was the plant I had almost chosen to purchase. Their service, integrity, and generosity is unparalleled. I just recieved my first order from Maryott's and could not wait to tell everyone how fabulous they were to me! I could not be more pleased with the service (calling me to let me know when the order shipped out as I was on a tight deadline to get them here and in the ground.) In addition to great service, the daylilies were in terrific shape coming all the way from CA to SC. But best of all was their thoughful and generous giving of gift daylilies. Not only were they generous in the amount (they sent 3 gift daylilies when I had ordered 5), but they also clearly put some thought into what I had ordered and what I would like to receive as a gift for my garden. These were nice, highly priced gifts! I will DEFINITELY order from them when given a choice in who to use. They were far and away the best company I ordered form this year!!

Daylilies from Maryotts are always huge, plump, healty, and just the best I have ever bought. I have ordered from them 3 times already, and will keep on being one of their customers. Bill is a nice guy also. I highly reccommend this garden.
This is the second year I have purchased daylilies from MARYOTT'S GARDENS. The first year I was WOWED by the size of the plants I received. They were planted in Zone 6 sometimes acts as Zone 5 and I did not loose one of them. This year everyone of them had beautiful blooms and increased well. Just received my second order from them today and again could not believe how generous MARYOTT'S GARDENS are. I am sure I will see blooms on these daylilies next spring, in fact, one of them has a bud on it so I might see that one now...VBG. Looking forward to ordering from them again next year, or with there weekly special offer I may order again this fall! Green thumbs up, great job MARYOTT'S GARDENS.

Have ordered 3 times from Bill and have always been completely satisfied and thrilled with his bonuses. I usually order his "3fers". Last order I sent list of desired bonus. He not only sent my first choice (a "3fer") but threw in a $65 bonus plant. His big plants come in fresh as just dug, and lots of times 3-4 fans. One of the great promoters of dalylilydom.
