We are currently accepting advance orders for bare root roses for delivery in Spring 2009.
Shipments usually start in mid-January for Southern and Eastern Coastal regions and end in April/May for regions in the far North of the country.
After fifty years of intensive breeding, David Austin's English Roses combine the forms and fragrances of old roses with the repeat flowering of modern roses. They are very easy to grow, healthy and reliable.

Our extensive collection contains a shrub rose for almost every garden situation - for large pots and containers, for the front, middle or back of the border, or for partial shade.
Some of the more vigorous varieties can also be trained as beautiful, repeat flowering short climbers. These are the perfect way to clothe trellis, small arches, pillars, walls and fences.

Our friendly, knowledgeable US team is based in Tyler, Texas, which is often known as the rose capital of America. All roses sold in the US are grown in the US. Roses are supplied as premium bare root roses, grafted onto Dr Huey rootstock.

Michael Marriott of David Austin Roses was recently invited to appear on the Martha Stewart show, where he highlighted some of the most fragrant garden roses, including Scepter'd Isle, The Dark Lady, Abraham Darby, Carding Mill and Jude The Obscure. He also explained the history behind some of the names chosen by David Austin for his roses.
Michael demonstrated how to plant a bare root rose on the show and later appeared as a guest on the Martha Stewart Living Radio gardening phone-in programme, when he was asked to advise listeners about some of the best English Roses to choose for their gardens.

Michael traditionally acts as a judge for our annual photography competition. We will soon be announcing details of this summer's competition, so if you see a wonderful rose blooming in your garden, you might like to take a picture!
