Hellebore - Lenten Rose Fresh Seeds

2005 Perennial Plant of the Year!

Have you tried growing Hellebores from seeds in the past? Unsuccessfully? We achieve almost 100% germination with our fresh seeds and unique germination method. Try again! The joy of seeing the seedlings of this shade garden plant is uncomparable!

Hellebores are evergreen with attractive clumps of leathery, dark foliage. They provide year round interest and can bloom anytime from December to April, depending on conditions. Their lantern-like flowers come in beautiful shades from pure white to a deep plum bordering on black, with in-between shades of pink, rose, magenta, cream, pale yellow or green, often showing intricate contrasting spots on the inside of each cup-shaped bloom. You can expect as many as 50 or more flowers per plant in a mature clump.

The pictures of our blooming hellebores are of plants that are 3 to 4 years old and are shown in this listing only to give you a better idea of the colors your seeds may produce. Hellebores seeds do not come true to the mother plant, even seedlings from the same seedpod will result in different flower colors! Our hellebores are white/cream with white centers, white/cream with dark rose centers, medium to dusky rose, and dark rose/purple.

Each offer is for one seedpacket with at least twenty (20+) fresh seeds, mixed colors.
Seeds are inspected and sorted, then immediately placed into a storage medium to maintain freshness.

Our unique and detailed germination guide is sent with the seeds. We are inspected and licensed by the State of Tennessee Department of Agriculture, your seeds will be packed and labeled in accordance with State and Federal regulations.
