"Telstar" Iris Blue is America's favorite color and this shade is a just right - not too loud and not too soft. Mix it with white for the traditional "Blue Willow" china look, with yellow for an upbeat French county feel or with pastels for a rambling cottage garden approach. One of the reasons gardeners love blue is that is blends beautifully with the rest of the rainbow. A wonderful accent to your garden. They light up the garden with blue colors. And they're fabulous for cutting! They are easy to grow and live for years, forming large clumps if well fed and left undisturbed. In my area they bloom in June, but they may flower as early as May in the South, and as late as July in the North. As cut flowers, they are long lasting and fresh looking.
