I was just wondering about the title of your album. Why did you call it 'challenged'?

bernieh Feb 08, 2013RESORT2ME Feb 08, 2013We purchased a 12 yr old place where every plant is unknown to us and are needing pruned, nursed to health, etc. Some are to over grown. Some need to be located away from the buildings. The lawn needs to be rid of many types of weed. Trees are too close to septic lines. Four oak and one maple needs to be dug and relocated or destroyed. Etc, etc. Hopefully pictures of the future will show plants that have blooms, less sickness and trimmed (not overgrown).
bernieh Feb 09, 2013Yes now I understand. That does sound very challenging. Lots of hard work ahead of you there.
DavidofDeLand Feb 09, 2013Well, You have done an excellent job tidying up so far. You have a great canvas to work with.
RESORT2ME Feb 09, 2013On the days when temps are above 50, I've been wacking away myrtle, laurel, privet, camelia, quince, wiegia, spirea, rose, etc. Debugging white wax scale from laurel sure is time consuming. Two trailer load to the landfill so far. The canvas is going to be an ugly mess for awhile. With His help the picture might be framable this summer and fall.
bernieh Feb 09, 2013Looking forward to seeing the progress you make in the coming months.
RESORT2ME Mar 11, 2013Some improvements, some problems. Suggestions for helping mother nature are welcome. I'll try posting pictures and comments in appropriate places.
