Light feed today
I watered every one of the cuttings with a very weak solution from water can of high nitrogen fertilizer this morning and it seemed I could see positive results at the end of the day. I pulled one cutting in the containers yesterday and it showed a very small root system. This thing might work!

New growth seems to be started
New growth seems to be evident on cuttings I have put down. The original ones around the kitchen border are actually growing. Ones in trays (64) all seem to be thriving. The ones I put in the raised beds seem to be having a harder go of it, but after 1 inch of rain last night they are perking up some. The yellow ones around the shop have not wilted since being put down, so I am hopeful. If they do root I will be able to dig up every other one and still have a good spacing.

Cuttings seem to be surviving
All the cuttings seem to be surviving. Only wilt I notice is where I stuck down stems with multiple limbs (would grow as a bunched clump); rained last night.

Finished cutting trial put down
I finished putting down the cuttings of all chrysanthemum this a.m. I have 8 different colors.
Weather for the next week is suppose to be on cool damp side; I am interested to see if these cuttings will root. If they do and I am able to do what I am thinking of this fall's display should be interesting. I have already planted one color in front of kitchen border, stuck extra cuttings along railroad tie to see what happens.
I am trying 4 cutting types in trays, the other 4 are in the raised beds.
I am hoping the original plants will grow more rooted sprouts so I'll at least have some plants of each color if the cuttings don't take.

Yellow by kitchen door/around tool shed
These had grown into large clumps of tall (about 1 ft+) so I cut them all the way back to ground . Hope I haven't killed.
Since I had oddles of cuttings of these plants I decided to try planting around shed to see if they will root. I pushed about 4" of stem into ground which had been soaked by heavy rains last night.

Border kitchen border front
Planted a divided plant from nursery row along the front of kitchen door border. Had enough plants with roots to plant entire row over the resurrection lily.
Just to experiment, I put cuttings from same color along edge of rr tie to the side of lily & amaryllis bed to see if they might root.
