No idea what to do now... am considering a new hobby, though I love to photograph plants.... it's just I can't seem to hang on to them... I HAD probably 500,000 photos of plants and places I have visited around the world over the last 15 years since I became a digital photographer and stopped taking photos on paper or slides. And now it appears I have lost about 90% of those. I had a computer die on me once and almost lost the data on it (though had much of the information on disc I had backed things up with. Then I really started to take a LOT of photographs and they filled up my Dell... so I got an external hard drive. Got a Mac eventually, too, with lots more space on it... but still thought putting stuff on the external hard drive was safer... ha! Mac is still with me, has not crashed once, and lost 3 external hard drives in same time! And with them, lost hundreds of thousands of photos. AUGH! Cost me $100 at Best Buy to do data recovery on the first one... got back maybe half. Then cost me $500 to do data recovery on the second... got back maybe a 1/4 or less. Now I have a third dead hard drive sitting on my desk... what to do?
