Got the horses and pigs fed. Got the goats fed and penned back up. I usually let them stay out later but we have church tonight. Picked up 2 more eggs. I have 2 hens trying to set. 1 is a little white bantam and the other is a William MacCrea Roundhead game hen. I have to nudge them off the nest with my cane. The bantam, Twinkle, has been trying to set for a week or so. I could tell yesterday the game hen, Saphire, was thinking on the subject. She was walking around clucking softly and was fluffing up at the other hens. I don't want either of them to hatch off any chicks so I'll just keep taking the eggs until they give up on the notion. I have 2 dozen bantam eggs in the bator now and 23 chicks in 4 different cages between the LR and the porch. I don't need anymore chicks!
