OK, let it make sprouts, that sounds great! I did cut one limb about two inches thick, and it has wonderful sprouts growing like mad! I've heard early summer is the time to do grafting here.

Poor tree is in a bad place, a foot from my deck and blocking the view and dropping all sorts of mess onto the deck.
