I have read that there is controversy as to the correct name of Epi. Oxypetalum actually being Cereus. In my world, Night blooming Cereus is a huge, upright, desert cactus, also called Queen of the Night, but I'm not a botanist, so what do I know? I'm thinking it all boils down to using common names, as opposed to Latin names. Both are "Queen of the night", both have nocturnal, white, fragrant flowers, but Epi. Oxy. is an epiphitic cactus, and the Cereus is an upright desert cactus....at least in my world.
